Deluxe Lunar Blessings

Most of us are over-drawing our Mars energy at the moment and no wonder. How else to buffer accelerated quantum hype, stagflation, probabilities markets, administrivia and collateralized crap?

It’s difficult to drop out of mission mode long enough to recall our deluxe lunar blessings but it is worthwhile.

I’m not saying ‘yin out’ and spend more time sniffing gardenias or trying to figure out whether ‘hatha’ as in the yoga form could come from ‘Hathor‘ as in the Goddess, although it would be restorative.

Specifically, I’m referring to your natal Moon house.*

Now we know logicially that it’s revealing but I’m re-appreciating it of late via some fascinating examples.

Reminder number one arrived as I realized that three people I’m acquainted with or know of via others close to them have a distinct similarity.

Diverse in age, background, cultural vibe and profession, they share a startling, almost magical-seeming ability to network.

Not in a grimly determined ‘cultivating the right people’ style but fabulously so – able to get on the blower any time of the day/night to introduce someone, share info, return favors or set up the next super-apt soiree.

They’re not really even networking; this is just who they are. But they’re absolutely networked, constantly enriched and enriching through these connections. What’s more, these people retain their individuality – this is not a hive mind scenario – and keep these multiple interplays humming along at just the right rhythm.

And, yes these people all have 11th house Moons.

You see the Moon house is where you don’t – usually – have to strive for the best aspects of that astrological sector. You just have it – it’s a deluxe lunar blessing.

Recalling some of my more deranged social adventures, I was unflatteringly comparing them with the suave conduct of these 11th house Moon people when a revelation zapped in out of nowhere.

My Moon is in the 9th house. So maybe I’m not naturally equipped to speed-read social signals and sure I can come across as either too operatic and manic or vague to the point of being vacant.

But as you will know if you have a 9th house Moon, there is no text, theory or philosophy so dense, arcane or beyond me that I will not attempt to scale it anyway.

What’s more, books, ideas, reading – sometimes knowledge itself – feel like a living matrix to me. Sometimes I can sense when a long-held theory is looping around to re-appear in my life at a higher level or dream information that fills in a gap.

I’m not boasting and in fact 9th house anything can be hell because from toddlerhood, you’re always the one asking ‘but…why?’ And while you want desperately to learn and know things, many teachers will actually loathe you.

But nonetheless, my Moon in the 9th is a deluxe lunar blessing and rather than feel forlorn at comparatively deficient zones, I now aim to be more appreciative.

After all, not everyone can happily store folders full of screenshots of fascinasting ‘to be sorted’ screenshots or be stealth-developing a grand unified theory via their bookmarks.

Thinking about your natal Moon house, how do you experience it as a deluxe lunar blessing?

I know I’ve only mentioned the 11th and 9th houses here but FYI there are some posts on the other houses here.

I’ve just remembered another example. My Sagittarian cousin who has the Moon in her 4th house and major decor chic.

She can walk into furniture shops and someone will come beetling up from the basement with a top-secret, crazily discounted rare artisan lamp or breaking design trend available at 80% off because the packaging is slightly scuffed.

But her specialty is found objects – when she needs something, she dreams in ‘street view’ mode and then tries to zoom in on where it is. She’s also the kind of person you see featured on news feeds because they found an old master oil painting at a garage sale or something.

So, what’s your deluxe lunar blessing?

*If you don’t know your natal Moon house, my Astral DNA report will tell you which of the 12 astrological houses your Moon graces, as well as my take on this placement.

  1. 12th hse aries moon….ive been told it makes me indestructible…hope it’s true…i feel it’s my saving grace in an otherwise watery chart…

  2. My moon is exact conjuct Lilith in Cap, 5th house. I do great with my creative practice if I work in a structured way, focusing on building good habits. I do get a bit dour sometimes, but there’s more than enough woo-woo going on in my Piscean 7th house stellium to make up for it.
I never had children so I could never work out the ‘mothering’ side of my moon. In fact I had a pretty poor relationship with my own mother. However, my partner’s son was born with his Pluto exact conj my Cap moon and it’s interesting how I have become a maternal figure at this late stage in my life.

  3. Lux Interior Is My Co-Pilot

ooh I had always thought in terms of sign more than house…good point!

10th house here. Haha, just getting on with it and being epic in my field.

  4. Taurus moon in 6th. Conflicted between the compulsion to make this tidy, better, organised, fixed, and the instinct to lie down and roll around in my senses…
Not helped by an opposition from Uranus in Scorpio in 12th making chaos out of any recently created order, or a square to Saturn/mc in Leo in 9th having overbearing philosophical debates about the worthiness of either course of of action/inaction…
On the positive side (as this was meant to be), I do benefit greatly by appreciating what I have, as well as the organic ‘order’ of the plant and natural worlds, and the simplicity of scent for transforming moods… 🌱🌙

    1. Typos…oops. Typing through a cracked phone screen. The second in less than a fortnight!! And following on from a computer that refuses to start up now… something something mercury Rx stationing conjunct ascendant… 🤦🏻‍♀️😣💸

    2. Temple gatekeeper/ custodian? oversee zen-like healing gardens; radical insights arrive from nowhere. challenge is to recognise one must welcome all-comers and accept outside or non-ordained views from time to time?

  5. 8th house moon in Virgo. In one of your posts or somewhere, I think you referred to it as “basically, … you’re a witch.” LOL. Yes, witching comes easy. 😉

  6. Moon in the 10th here.
I LOVE a goal. I know it’s certainly not the best house for the moon, but doing a good job at work, putting in effort and taking small steps towards something worthwhile feels so good. Even restricting my diet at times feels so good. And after the initial hump, I get really good and the continued applied application.
And maybe intuitively understanding the current structures of society? I feel like I know trends pretty well before they super take off?

    1. I hear you GemLeoLib. I have 10th House Moon in Pisces. Is a mixed blessing right there at the top of my chart as Saturn is conjunct natally. And, of course, I’m having my Saturn return. Definitely yes on doing a good job and understanding structures. I can report that Saturn in his house can be quite something but still trying to figure out exactly how to work with it most of the time

  7. 3rd house Aries
“it could be the media or any scenario where you’re rewarded for talking. You learn by osmosis – or so it seems – and you have a psychological need to read…everything.”
Husband are you reading again??? Maybe (probably)
And something about adoring witty people or writing.
    Love ya Mystic x

  8. My natal Moon (27° Leo 11H) is opposite my natal Mars (2° Pisces 6H), so I’m struggling to stop Marsing out. This time last week I was in Fight mode (I won), and now I’m in Fuq mode. I think this is an improvement, at least

    1. My poor moon is “afflicted”, if you consider it’s part of an imperfect mutable grand cross, with the only other aspect is a very wide square to my Scorpio Sun (17° 1H)

  9. I doubt I’ll ever achieve knowing my 7th house moon in Aries. no one else wants to and that’s kind of the point of the 7th house.

when I first started looking into astrology to learn more about life in general there’s not a lot of good times associated with moon in Aries.

looking back, at least it all went by fast.
I remember watching my friend and recent ex making out in my car that they borrowed. i was aware that it would somehow be me being the drama queen in the story when I knocked on the window. a little red hatchback as it happens. I was eating something. such a drama queen me.

so with Saturn and Neptune about to flood the part of my seventh house with Aries in it the stellium that begins with a balsamic moon knows that no one has ever met me.

like a flash card in elementary math class or a receipt used as a bookmark.

    quick quick. gone.

    1. au contraire.
i hope you’re a writer by trade, you are gifted.
if you stretched these musings into a short story I would keep reading

      1. too busy trying to find housing or eat.

l suppose in different times is write and people would pay me to sound interesting. but in these times I’m just a dopamine source.

  10. Have busy 11th house with Sun Jupiter Mercury & Chiron but Moon in 10th cosy-ing up to Neptune. Dream world much, they are vivid night movies.
A very wealthy Leo once said to me ‘better to have luck than money’…mmm…ok if you say so…
As i live so in-the-now do not have memory of life before stopping work that was my raison d’etre, that and travel, neither possible now so joy in the sun (worship at the alter of Ra) local parks and reserves my Daisy Dog and food.
78 today on the feast day of the immaculate conception in catholicism…THAT i remember…lol.
‘Hatha & Hathor’ now that does have one wondering…

    1. Happy return of your birthday Pegasus & congrats for 78, every day is precious!!
      I passed the 70 a year & half ago, still working part-time …
I love my scorpy moon but in the 10th it feels a bit more exposed than it likes,
I just realized 10th is Saturn ruled,
      I’m a bit over-saturned atm,
so on this moonday I’ll contemplate the benefits 😀

  11. 9thH moon here (in Virgo) with a Sag Stellium 1st house (including Sun). Timing on this post is *chef’s kiss*. As always lol… so THAT’S why you’re my fav site for learning 😎 Bisous 🎈

  12. 9th house moon too. I currently have 66 open browser tabs on my phone that despite prolific bookmarking, I am unable to close 😝

  13. 11th house Sagg Moon. The matchmaking part is true and I have my moments where that people person shines trough, but I’ve been trying to pinpoint for years why I struggle so much with relationships even with a benevolent 7th house (Mercury, Sun and Gemini). Getting fulfilled from relationships, being consistent, putting my “brave social face” on, and making new acquintances is so hard. I end up self isolating more often than not and have reduced my inner circle to the bare minimum. Uranus-Neptune conjunction in 1st opposite Mercury = autistic af, and Saturn-Pluto-Chiron T-square probably explain a lot. *sigh*

  14. Well I never! I have often said that I have a natural ability to network other people (who then make lucrative deals with each other, none have shared their profits with me yet though…) Sagittarius moon in 11th

    1. Oh same! Tho mine is due to mercury conj Pluto in 11th in libra… Have considered a few times becoming an agent in order to monetise this talent, but, well, that just seems like hard work and might take the fun out of it…plus there are too many other things I think I should try to monetise as well… or maybe that’s an excuse.. hmm 🤔 (Libra equivocating).

  15. I have a 7th house Libran moon and yes, I am blessed with one on one relationships. I don’t have a group of friends; rather I have a network of beloved individual friends. I have become single in the past couple of years after a 24 year relationship, and still meet men in real life to the shock/envy of my friends who feel like there is no alternative to apps, and I am aware that this is a blessing probably to do with my Libran moon 😅 def not my Aries rising haha

  16. Alchemical_Magician

    here!

**Luna 11 here! It’s funny because I will network a time & space & if I feel trapped, existentially (& sometimes physically) itch! However that is settling a little now older so I wonder what else Is in play. For me it is more like a Fantasia.. energetic culinary skills, weaving with info, time and space.

  17. 11th house, Pisces moon here. I am really great at networking in my career as well as matchmaking — putting people together for friendships or romance

  18. 9th house Virgo moon – I self-soothe with information and have a terrible addiction to second-hand books to the extent that I have multiple Amazon and library lists to attempt to curtail impulse buying. I know that essentially it’s all about managing stress and anxiety + feeling overwhelmed, especially around current affairs/politics but despite knowing no book will shield me, being surrounded by books, watching videos, listening to podcasts and collating lists of bookmarked articles makes me feel just a little bit prepared and therefore a little bit calmer despite deep down, like I said, knowing it’s probably an illusion.

  19. I feel extremely seen as a 9th house moon, but sadly my 9th house, due to my northern latitude birthplace, is barely half a house, from 15 to 25 Cap (and that’s the best-case scenario in Koch houses). And a Cap moon is its own interesting experience. Anyway, this gives me just a couple of weeks of 9th-house bliss every year, and it is my favorite house. I should probably schedule some kind of amazing annual retreat in the great libraries of the world in that time! I relate so much to all of this. I’m curious about everything, have an insane number of screenshots and bookmarks to sort, and of course real books – I yearn for a big house with a library with ladders that go to the ceiling of my wall of books. And a studio with a big table with those beautiful stacks of art books. And to find the perfect masters/PhD program to immerse myself in my dotage. And to travel to places like Kyoto where I’m sure I was once a geisha studying all the arts. My 9th-house dreams. My ruler-of-Cap planet Saturn lives in Sag so that plays into the dynamic too. Thank you Mystic, and cheers for 9th house goodness.

  20. Virgo Moon in the 2nd at 22 degrees: I am unequivocally unwell if there are accounting errors, a dirty house and an empty fridge. The requirement for security, safety, and coherence in any and all 2nd house matters, are what will bring out mock thinkings about vigilante justice in order to protect inner semblance

  21. I’ve been feeling a little low about my 12th house moon (in Gemini with some gnarly aspects) lately so this is timely to read up and reap the blessings. Thanks for this. 🤍
