After the recent months of motivational Mars – the Aries ruler, retrograde – reinvigorate your vibe by embracing the Ramzilla ethos. If it’s too much, you can always scale back down later.
It’s an athletically minded Moon and brilliant for taking charge of old injuries, stiffness, weakness and imbalance. Metaphysically, this Solar Eclipse announces an end to all the alchemical stewing of the last week or even the last several months. Contemplative reverie is wonderful and Mars Retrograde from December 6 to February 24 inspired a new degree of self-reflection. You could even have discovered or re-realized a particular quest.
The Moon counsels an advance into the territory that you’ve most likely already scouted out. It’s a reminder that every worthwhile protagonist’s narrative includes tours through hell or time spent dawdling in some strange psychic backwater.
An End To All The Alchemical Stewing
Regrets are weighty until alchemized into remorseful, grave wisdom but the process is top secret because there is no one official method and everyone forgets how they did it anyway. that eclipse is profound. i seldom engage with the ‘news’ and have zero interest in trump but my friend does so we have one day a week when they have free reign to avail me of the exploits of POTUS and his sidekicks, it stops me from saying things like ‘why are we talking about this again?’ while they’re downloading. I checked out his chart for the house the eclipse was in and saw that anything transiting air or fire I think it is at the moment creates a grand fire or grand air trine by aspect to his chart. His chart is unusual anyway but with the eclipses, transits etc for now it’s mad. possibly literally. while crashing the economy and wreaking havoc for the masses his chart for liquidity and wealth is lit. ah i just googled BHC, I think you’ve mentioned her before. I read some of her books in the 90s, it was around the time of the celestine prophecy and that other book about sacred contracts by caroline (I think) myss. I worked in a shop that sold those books and my friend the shop keep used to lend me them. I had one of those machines that pumped out theta and other waves and had special glasses that strobed at a certain frequency which made seeing things that may or may not have been there easier than usual, so the idea that there is more than one reality occurring simultaneously was not so much of a reach. I always get BHC mixed up with Melanie Reinhart for some reason.
I experienced a strong feeling of death and rebirth during this new moon eclipse. It felt pretty destabilizing, actually, but I’m glad I’m clued into what eclipses do and to all of the astrology and knew to try to just breathe through it as best I could. I do feel a fire lit under my butt more than I have in years, so I guess this is what it took to finally move me. ALL of the planets of the new moon stellium are transiting my 10th house and transiting my natal Mars in Pisces, Chiron in Pisces, Saturn in Aries, and NN in Aries, also all in the 10th house. It’s been A LOT. My natal Saturn is at 8 degrees Aries, just one degree off the eclipse degree, and then my progressed Sun and Moon are at 8 Aries, too! I don’t know how to interpret all of this, but I know what it feels like. Things are feeling both heavy and light right now. Is Neptune changing signs into Aries turning us into spiritual warriors? I don’t know…
I feel ready to take off like an airplane but there’s a weird thing holding me down right now…. I was trying to help my neighbor in just an emotional support way with her current health situation which is a mass of some sort in her lung. She has been ill for six months, with a respiratory illness, a now chronic cough, but refused to go to the doctor until recently, which is when they found the mass, but they haven’t diagnosed what it is yet, though initially they thought it was cancer. She had showed me some of her lab work and they had tested her for tuberculosis and it came back ‘indefinite’, but the value was pretty close to positive. All of her white blood cell counts were high, so she either has some sort of infection or a high level of inflammation, or her body is fighting off actual cancer, we don’t know yet. It occurred to me last week, though, like the day before the eclipse, that if she does have tuberculosis, that I have been exposed to it too, because she’s spent a couple long afternoons having tea at my house in the last few weeks. Yikes. The incidence of TB here in California is rare, but seeing her lab results made me nervous. With her white blood cell counts so high, though, maybe it threw off the TB test, and gave a wrong result, and maybe the high wbc count is from a different type of infection or condition entirely. I’m not usually paranoid about health stuff because I’ve been exposed to all kinds of stuff during my career in healthcare, but this does give me concern. I’m also concerned about her and her health so maybe that concern is just spilling over onto myself, especially because we still don’t know what her diagnosis is. It’s just a situation I wasn’t at all expecting to be in or to even really participate in with her, I just wanted to try to be a good friend and support her. Maybe I merged too much with her situation.
I guess I’ll just go get a TB test at some point, but that is the last thing I want to have to think about or deal with! This vibe is so contradictory to the general way I’m feeling about my life right now, which has been more optimistic, more active, more ready to learn and do new things, get a new job, feeling light and clear and bright.

I’ve been dealing with codependency issues my whole life. I’ve also overcome a lot of it, but now and again there’s a little dip….one of the reasons I gave up my healthcare career is because I felt it was feeding my codependency, but that was after over 25 years in the field…haha, ugh…

Pluto on my moon and midheaven no doubt contributed! 36 tells me it’s been for my own protection, and maybe a time to work on things that have been waiting all my life to be healed. Hiding brightness is not unlike an eclipse (along w/55 with literal eclipse imagery). There’s a podcast I like called The Weekly I Ching with Bobby Klein. Sadly he passed away before he could complete all the hexagrams but the explorations he gave are lovely and empowering.
yes… the moon is called one of the luminaries I think? and, right up at “noon” of your chart… Pluto that shadow from the underworld, blotting out anything light. (think of one of the lines from hex 55, line 3, the darkness is so abundant he can see the small stars at midday.. hex 55 also called expansion of awareness). it does sound like ‘being seen’ is not part of your path just now? at least maybe not until after Pluto has shaken out whatever is not true to your moon-midheaven .. and imagine how much brighter things will feel once the transit passes

Variously! I do think natal sun opp moon can be hard till you mature enough to manage it – and for my Aries/Libran soul daughter (mid 30s) it can be very challenging because her Aries sun wants change, freedom, innovation and independence but her libra moon (and I know a few peeps with libra moon) can be emotional stuck-ness and enervation in personal realms, even while it bestows a beautiful manner and tone of relating. She thrives in her work environment (fun activity: searching for and applying for new jobs) but has often been ‘stuck’ in emotional relationships. I have natal sun opp moon (Virgo/Pisces) and in my experience it’s been a journey balancing the two, using virgo analytics to illuminate piscean tropes. Do you have a sun/moon opposition in your life?

A few hours before the eclipse here on the east coast of Australia, I built the first fire in the hearth for 2025. Even though it is only the start of autumn here, it had been rainy and blowy all day.
Just minutes before the eclipse peaked, a mouse showed up in my old farmhouse kitchen. My snoozy little fox terrier leapt up from the fire and the crowd went wild!

As a Sun Aries at 8 degrees and a few, this is right smack on my existence. My Pisces spouse had an out of the blue heart attack close to the lunar eclipse so frankly I feel like we’ve already been hit by the eclipse truck and this is the “your life has to change” second act. To be fair, as older retired adults we’ve been mulling a bit about what we should/might/could/want to do going forward for at least a year now. Some vision questing combined with the never-in-my-wildest-dreams uncertainty of whether Elon et al is going to destroy our social security income and Medicare coverage. It’s hard to make plans not knowing if your years of hard work meant nothing to some weird non-human bastard. It is quite possible that our SS will continue on uninterrupted, but the psychology monthly trauma of wondering if we’ll receive our income is all too real. I’m righteously pissed and equally terrified of the immediate future. So yeah that’s my eclipse saga lol
