Hex Wives Is An Awesome Omen

Hex Wives fits the astrology. It feels super-now.

To me, the impending release of Hex Wives is an awesome omen. It’s like someone data-mined my brain while I was sleeping. What is it? It’s a comic series for Uranus in Taurus and the Age of Queens. It’s also a reminder that Uncle Pluto is going to be squaring Eris-Persephone for the next four years. AKA a re-imagining of the Matriarchy.

“The women are too powerful. They must be tamed.”

For hundreds of years a war has been waged between a coven of perpetually reincarnating witches and the all-male conspiracy known as the Architects. After the death of the lead Architect in 2005 it seemed the witches had finally defeated their foes.

Now, 13 years later, waking up in a perfect cookie cutter home at the end of a cul-de-sac in a sunny corner of suburbia, Isadora has no recollection of her past life as the leader of a witch coven, nor her soulmate Nadiya, let alone the centuries-old war she has waged in defense of the soul of America…

Any thoughts on Hex Wives, it’s astrology and the concept of witch vibe repressed beneath layers of stultifying feminine eunuch facade?

  1. Just a random thought after reading this great plot about this series… perhaps our past lives and future lives aren’t always in this current universe/realm/earth etc. What if they are different parrall type universes and we are in one of them today but our past llife was in a different one with different dimensions like so one like the world outlined in the comic where in that universe you really had super powers and etc but in our current life/universe, we are striped of them with no recollection of the past life power and have to wait until the next life/universe to possible get them back. Maybe that next life/universe will be the previous one where super powers were allowed but we return to a different time period.

  2. Ohhhh new comics! Actually all those new titles ( if you follow the link) look good – especially the Sandman Universe and Bordertown titles ( and Hex Wives obviously)

    1. Sandman Universe is good, it sets the stage for several new series, all of which seem interesting – i think there are four new series coming out of it.

  3. Oh man another one! I need an extended holiday or to retire early to keep up with all of these fab books you all recommend. I read a chapter get addicted but life gets in the way. Totally absorbed in Dr Joe Dispenza and Yesterdays Sky, I have about 5 ready to go. I need to do a good blessing to my$elf of an impo$$ibly large bucket of abundance. Mmm next auspicious moon dance coming up.

    1. What about borrowing them fro me the library? I got a library card last month (hadn’t had on since I was a kid) as part of my financial revamp plan. It has saved me a bundle!

      1. I am One with my library! Our library has eBooks too, so I can download stuff to my tablet immediately. Recently picked up a comic on eBook and was pleasantly surprised by the quality (I thought it would be a crap scanned copy). Technology is awesome.

  4. Talking of Eris and the Age of Queens, there is an article in the Financial Times today titled:
**Julia Gillard on resilience after mysoginy.**
There’s a pay wall so i can’t send it, but I’ve copied the ending of the article:

    ON SEXISM
‘Looking back on my time in politics . . . I wish, with hindsight that I had called it out earlier’
    ON SOCIAL MEDIA
‘I worry about the intersection between social media and women’s leadership . . . [It] has unleashed a more visible virulence towards women’s leadership than we used to see’
    ON MOVING ON
‘If you’re waking up every morning still burning about something that happened in 2010, it wouldn’t be much of a way to live’
    ON MALE SUPPORT
‘Seek out more male champions from outside your immediate sphere’
    ON BECOMING RESILIENT
‘Know your purpose; nurture your sense of self; make choices about how you react to events’

  5. I like the Age of Queens link “Let Go Let Gaia”, seems fitting now that I have let 2 very pregnant cats into my home to give birth.

There is a lot of love in my home, I can even feel the love and prescence of my dear departed mum.

Yes the feeling is pure and undiluted.
