Mercury moves into the shadowzone* of the upcoming retrograde today!
So for planning purposes, the relevant dates are below. There is no need to be merc-retro-phobic but if a contract is particularly important or you’re purchasing a piece of tech that’s supposed to be an investment in your productivity, work around these times if possible.
I know I’ve said this before but a reminder: if a project or idea began well before the retrograde period but you’re just putting your signature on it to seal the deal, it’s fine. The signing date won’t be super-optimal but nor is it likely to be problematic.
Reserve your caution for the sudden ‘opportunities’ and impulses that so often flare up at these times.
Classically, a Mercury Retrograde in Sagittarius would be sub-optimal for booking holidays/extensive travel so if you need to, build in contingencies and triple-check all the details.
And brilliantly, this will be a fabulous retrograde for recovering any lost plotlines, re-feeling your personal story, long-form writing, self-actualization and epic, mythological scale journeys.

November 25/26: Mercury Retrograde @22° Sagittarius
December 15/16: Mercury Direct @6° Sagittarius
January 3: Mercury out of the shadowzone @22° Sagittarius
January 8: Mercury into Capricorn

Thank you and yes this collection was ICONIC. I know I over-use that word but really so visionary. I notice how so many Tumblrs whose taste I trust are constantly circling bk to the 90s now – is it because fashion trends are so focus-grouped now, the individual designer’s vision trashed a la Halston or Mugler + others – and influencer centric? Or am I out of touch?
This makes perfect sense, Mystic! It’s probably not a good idea to change anything during the rumbling of Pluto into Aquarius for the next 20 years!!
Mercury you trickster! My son rode home in the rain and his phone is cactus, my husband’s phone is out of reception and worst of all (but easiest to fix) my MM bookmark disappeared. I even searched it thinking it had been bumped elsewhere. It’s back in pole position, well after google because it’s easier to see. Is bookmark feng shui a thing?
