Does the transit of Mercury pertain to astrology at all or is it more an astronomical thing? You know, astrology but with less magic, myth or meaning. In this case, ‘transit’ does not mean an astrological passage where your birth chart energies are activated. It’s when Mercury – or sometimes, Venus – cross in front of the Sun. They occur every 8 or so years.
And every Mercury Retrograde features a Sun-Mercury conjunction; it is when the Retro cycle reveals its point.
That is, the signal beneath the delays and troll action or random dissonance. But when Mercury is in Scorpio and crossing in front of the Sun, with a Full Moon imminent, it’s more profound. It is a message. And not to lay it on too thick here but, as many of you know, Saturn and Pluto are also conjunct. So the last 24 hours and the next 24 are communicating a message with extra pow.
The Transit Of Mercury Astrology? It’s A Message
It’s personal – and the Daily Mystic email for Tuesday going out shortly will have more on that – and broader. I’m sitting in a Sydney suburb that for the first time in history has been hit with a catastrophic fire warning. It is not near bushland or anything but the whole state is on fire.
As I am sure there are some members of this community influenced by the bushfires, please stay safe!
Going on the Mercury Transit across the Sun, Full Moon in Taurus and prelude to Saturn/Pluto timing, this message seems fairly clear. Nothing about the extreme weather is ‘normal’ or part of some secret fundamentalist neanderghoul 10 zillion year cycle so everything is fine. The ‘this is totally okay‘ when it’s clearly not scenario is the same as the financial gaslighting talked about in Freak In About The Economy.
Saying It’s Normal Or Acceptable Is Just Gas-Lighting
This is Australia but I know there are fires raging in California and there was the recent conflagration in the Amazon. My kids scoff at reportage of hurricanes because “nearly every storm is a superstorm” and they don’t know seasons – it’s all weather. Or climate.
Bickering over whether the style/rate of change or differential diagnoses is procrastination. Would it be too weird to have more funding for science, innovation, ecologically woke agriculture and firefighters?
Trashing the planet/ecosystem to keep property values high or your mates in business is more the sort of stunt Power Rangers villains attempt than anything an ethical leader would try to justify.
So if you want to share here re the fires, vibe or Mercury, etc please do. And hands up who has felt like this week, in particular, is conveying a particular message?
