Future Virgo And Your True Voice

The Future Virgo Mp3 is here, just in time for, well, the last 17 hours of Virgo. It would have been earlier, but I am under E.N.T.’s orders to rest my voice. So, i got my Leo newsreader friend to narrate it and really, I think he’s better than me at it. He’s fast and yet super-enunciated.

And, yes, I know that Future Leo has not happened yet but it willFuture Virgo is part of a Virgo Gift Bundle. If you missed your Virgo friend or family member’s birthday, you could get them this and blame me. It’s a myth that Virgos are avidly into the truth. They’re not. That’s Sagittarius. Virgos just require plausible deniability and alibis that make sense. You’ll stress them out more with conflicting elements of your storyline than the fact of the actual lie.

So with my voice, it is a journey. I’m doing all these speech exercises to try and restore it – lip trills are good for you, in case you did not know – and it’s such an educational process. I’ve learned that most of us don’t speak with our authentic voices, that chest breathing (instead of via the diaphragm) creates tense shoulders/neck and that oil pulling is amazing.

Virgos Need Alibis That Make Sense

And it’s so Saturn. I’m going to explain, not to jaw on about myself but because it is astrologically illustrative. Last year and this year, I have Pluto square my Mercury in Aries. And, perhaps because my natal Pluto is potent in the 8th, with Mars + my chart ruler Uranus, I loved it. I transformed my thought process and writing style, generating dozens of good ideas that I am fizzing to put into action. Then, Saturn came along, catching up to Pluto and took my voice, or rather; the resonance of it. How, when the Pluto leg of it felt like I was finding my voice, could this occur?

Well, here is how you can parse it and maybe adapt the scenario to one of your current themes. This Saturn Mercury transit is compelling me to align my physical voice with my inner voice or metaphysical awareness. It’s made me get singing lessons and speech pathology that are life-altering. The stressful aspect (much as we appreciate modern medical advances, cameras up your nostrils and down the throat are not pleasant) has been a fast-take on who’s there/not there. People can say what they like; going with you to scary specialist’s appointments is up there in the loyalty stakes.

It’s also meant more silence – so less chattering to people at the dog park and around. That’s weirdly relaxing. When you need to limit your talking, you become more aware of self-expression and the dialogue worth having. And my hypochondriac googling skills have become honed- only it’s empowering as it actually is a condition I can research. I also have more compassion for people I hear in shops and so on who have a hoarse or breathy voice. I used to just assume that they smoked cigarettes 24-7 or were on meth. Now they’re scared I want something from them. My smile and validation are possibly verging on an unctuous charm, like a cult recruiter.

Saturn Square Mercury Is Restructuring My Voice

I’ve learned so much about esoteric acupuncture points, the basal ganglia, throat chakras and the interplay of nerves/muscles around the throat. And, as for me, Saturn is in the 12th house of the subconscious, I am now so aware of what topics/conversations influence my breath. Finally, while nearly every ailment has an obvious culprit (possibly mold, in this case), there is also an underlying component. Every single day I do the exercises assiduously turns into a night of the most profound and poignant dreams I have ever had. And I’m a good dreamer.

It turns out that getting my voice back is not just breath awareness and better use of various muscles; it’s recovered memories and consciousness of power. It’s so Saturn-Pluto. So my new theory of aspects to your Mercury is that they can involve your literal voice. And, I think a lot of people are experiencing or processing old trauma and buried emotions via their skeletal-muscular system with Saturn conjunct Pluto in Capricorn.

That is the most extended rant for something that was meant to be a few explanatory lines after announcing Future Virgo. Still, thoughts?

love the symbolism of finding your inner voice thru silence and listening to what’s inside versus voicing externally. Rest and can’t wait to hear another one of your binaural magic blends. totally love all of them!

Wow. So much here that resonates and judging by the comments, I’m not alone.
I’ve recommended this book before (I think to Jokerman) but it sounds like many of you might find it useful. ‘The Body Keeps the Score: Brain, Mind and Body in the Healing of Trauma’ by Bessel Van Der Kolk.
It’s a hard read but I am tackling it again as I find myself in yet another situation mirroring that of being trapped with a toxic narcissistic abusive parent.

Wow! Glad you’re on the mend. Love the interweaving of the physical with the metaphysical. This past year, my voice would crack when I was talking to people. In the beginning I would clear my throat, thinking it would go away. But that irritation would stay and my voice would come out weird. I’m female in my 40s, but my voice would crack like it was a boy’s rite of passage. It was embarrassing. Then it would automatically come back to normal after a bit. But it kept happening for a year, and I never knew in the midst of… Read more »

A healthy open throat chakra is considered by some mystical tradition to be the most crucial attribute for the physical and mental health of a humans existence. It’s role in mediating, translating and projecting the incoming signals from the pineal while blending this with the more primal signals emanating from below places it in a position to make or break us. What is probably more important though is it’s role in mediating our relationship to others. An out of control, atrophied throat chakra could be described as a weapon of mass destruction in meltdown. In can quite simply cause havoc.… Read more »

It’s really odd but the other day last week Sunday I was out having a rare coffee on my own feeling like I existed again (my job currently doesn’t allow individual existence) when an elderly lady was helping her obviously ailing husband back to the car. He was suffering Parkinson’s symptoms and he’d had a stop on the kerb side and was slowly dropping down the side of a car. I watched for a second as she got a touch flustered with him and then physically overwhelmed. I stepped in. Immediately my voice was so strong resonate and real. I… Read more »

Oh emg that’s great. I had a similar experience yesterday after my meltdown. The wind turned special and the air was cool. I went for a walk and my senses were alive. I stopped to sit on a fallen branch under a tree to watch the little kids skate boarding. I was watching a little girl with her 2 brothers. The elder brother asked his younger sister a question. She was a dreamy little girl. And she answered in a dreamy way. Her impatient brother said ‘You should stop talking now”. Out of no where my voice said “Hey !”… Read more »

BOOK RECOMMEND: If anyone is interested in really diving into proper vocal alignment, I highly recommend the book Freeing The Natural Voice by Kristin Linklater. She’s a Sun/Moon Taurus who changed the way actors study vocal production. Changed my life and saved my voice.

Oh thank you Jesklie.

I’m a Taurus Moon and this feels right.

Can you elaborate more on how this worked for you please ?

jeskileMM Member
jeskile

Absolutely! It’s a book designed for actors learning to vocally fill a large space for an extended period of time. Most of the time you heard the phrase, “project” (verb form) which makes you think, “shout”. If you aren’t using your apparatus properly- it just turns into hoarseness. Why don’t colicky babies lose their voice after screaming on end for hours? God knows, an average adult would. Linklater goes through how (and why) we speak and why so many self ingrained habits (used to protect ourselves) cause vocal harm. How you stand, how you hold yourself, how you respond to… Read more »

Interesting Jesklie.

I did read some reviews on google and got the feeling that this was more suited to actors trying to fill a large space.

But I do like the idea of creating a new fuller sound with less effort.

What are the other 2 books you speak of? Are they for actors also.

Can you or anyone recommend a book, website or person for the lay person who just wants to discover and develop/,nurture their voice? More importantly their singing voice.

Well Myst never thought your voice matched your persona and looks. Now it probably will 🙂
Always used to listen to what people didn’t say that told me more.

This is crazy interesting so thank you for divulging your story details. I’m having a muscular thing atm as well. I’ve always had tight shoulders and not so great posture. In some photographs taken several years ago I noticed the situation was worse so I decided to get back into yoga. I’ve noticed progress but wanted to do more so I recently ordered a back brace/posture corrector. Then I started taking a kettle bell class and the instructor is not only working with me on that learning curve, but strengthening and stretching my shoulders as well. As a Scorpio rising,… Read more »

Yes Elrctro I can relate to curling in to protect an open heart.

My heart might be fierce but my musco- skeletal system picks up on subliminal messages from society and responds by constricting.

Dear MM thank you for Future Virgo Looking forward to listening to it. I agree I also have been processing my PTSD through my body. Find myself with my shoulders under my ears and not breathing more than I care to admit. I have been hyper vigilant all my life because of childhood abuse and now a domestic violence survivor. My partner whom I haven’t seen for 2 weeks because of a Lefranc fracture to his foot, gave me a shoulder massage last night and it was almost better than the miss you sex! I did say almost!!! Oh you are a sweet woman. Yes today I had flashbacks and dislodged a big stone that I was anchored to at the bottom if the sea. Related to sense of worthlessness. This is huge and done all on my own. Oh not true. A sweet Indian woman on a help line held the space for me. She felt like a mother. Sublime tenderness. Went from trying to secure women’s shelter to escape horror. Then after a huge release on psyche and body I realised the horror was in my head. So baby steps for me. One step at a… Read more »

Yes I dearly miss Jokerman. Have been listening to Bob Dylan lately. Sometimes feel like I am channeling Jokermans Uranian energy. And it helps me in a big way. Instead of falling in a watery Piscean puddle. I am uplifted by humour.

I read somewhere that Chiron is transmutation…. the alchemical process of turning base metals into gold. I lost the sight of one eye due to stress when a toddler. I lose my voice when stressed now. Chiron transits Aries…audacious consciousness via the wound?

Just reading all these threads has said to me that just maybe it’s not all menopause and that my body is really wanting me to let some stuff go. I’m about to start living for myself and that feels odd but boy do I have some deep stress to release and some love to give back to my physical shell. My psyche feels really well it’s my body that’s crying out

Yes I am processing old trauma via my musco – skeletal system. It is happening spontaneously. The thought of getting a body worker to help feels interfering and annoying. They would just get it the way.

The body is amazing. When it unfurls it tells you a story.

I am a professional singer and my voice has not been right since the Spring. I gave in after a few months of trying to manage acid reflux issues naturally, to prescription meds, ugh so I have a voice to bring to stage. They are helping but not doing the trick. And yes my talking voice too has been affected. I vocalize and have had speech therapy Mystic so I can relate. I’ve been hyper-focused on my throat bcz it just feels ragged and weak and it’s really important to me. I feel like I’m at 25% power. Processing emotions… Read more »

A while back I got the message that I just needed to shout and rant out my anger in a space I felt comfortable in (Like where no one could hear me , out in the wilderness). I got that message in a relaxed state so I didn’t act on it. Maybe now isn’t the right time and the time, place and emotion will present itself when I am in a safer, better space. I hear your frustration VGA. It sounds like you are on top of it and all over it. Maybe you need some distance from it. Maybe… Read more »

This is so interesting. I’ve had weird neck (the front – my throat muscles) and chest tension, and my voice had been affected too. It gets hoarse, like my throat is squeezing my voice. I’ve been trying to figure it out. I think I’m chest breathing due to anxiety. Thank Mystic.
