Magical Symbols And Lucky Jupiter Vibe

Wheel of Fortune pendant

What do you think these magical symbols on the pendant above are? Recently, in the Daily Mystic, I was talking about cool Jupiter rituals. And I just put that rave up on the site for easy reference. Why? Because the Galaxy King is parked on the Great Attractor for the whole month of August. That never happens. Or hasn’t so far as I know.  And it’s made even more potent by being in square to Neptune. So I got this interesting email in response to it. Read on for that and the reply.

Jupiter On The Great Attractor Potenizes Magical Symbols

Hi Mystic,

I read the Jupiter Talismanic Magic ideas in the recent daily emails and had a moment of semi-clarity re a pendant that I’ve had for 30 years, but not known much about.

In the late ’80s and early ’90s, I frequented an all-things Goth shop called Love & Hatred. Mum knew I loved it, and she loved their jewelry, despite neither of us knowing much about the magical symbols, and one birthday she gifted me the pendant in the attachments.

Even though I have had two tarot decks for as long as I’ve owned the pendant, I’ve not delved into tarot until very recently; one deck was stolen by a then-boyfriend from a department store and it’s energy always felt off because of the deceit, and the other was a 22nd birthday gift from an artist I knew well, hand-drawn and very beautiful, made for me, but the symbolism I just did not get. I keep the latter as an art piece these days; the former I burned in a bonfire to clear them from my life.

A Tarot Deck Stolen By A Then-Boyfriend

Your suggestion to sleep with the Wheel of Fortune card under the pillow struck me as a simple thing I could do to honor the Jupiter energy and it worked! Dreams made sense for the first time in a while, plus I slept really deeply. BUT, I am learning so much about tarot these days and don’t want to crush my cards! While sorting out some stuff during the last Dark Moon I found the pendant mentioned above and realized that one side is the Wheel of Fortune. I thought it might be a good thing to slip under the pillow as it is metal, therefore not so crushable. However, I have no idea what’s on the other side – and don’t want to sleep on it if I don’t understand the message.

Any ideas?

Your guidance through the last few years has made me so much better as a person, much wiser, much calmer and far more capable of forging a career that I am in charge of – I know we all say it all of the time, but seriously, you really are a bright light in my life. Thank you.

Through Dreams, Night Tells The Myths Forgotten By The Day

So much to parse here! Firstly, I don’t know what these symbols are, aside from Saturn on the left-hand side. The one on the bottom looks so familiar. It may even be in the Single Tarot? They make me think of planetary sigils and Elvish/Nordic Runes. Someone is bound to know. And I agree that it’s not a good idea to meditate upon it or turn it into a talisman until you know. When you do find out and if you are aligned with the symbolism, try putting it under your pillow with a little bit of mugwort and listening to my re-engineered Neptunian Nights Mp3. It’s legit spooky.

Through dreams, night tells the myths forgotten by the day, said Jung. He had Neptune square his Ascendant and Sun, btw.

My dream involved being in a familiar-feeling house, a composite of many homes but there was a whole wing I had not known was there. While I was exploring it I realized that there were people having a conversation about magic, art, and physics on an inaccessible balcony. To eavesdrop, as I absolutely had to as it was my house and the conversation was clearly need-to-know, I needed to go down this corridor and then suddenly the corridor stopped and I realized we were millions of meters above the world.

I was standing there, looking down at the clouds and the earth far below, straining to hear these tantalizing secrets, when I realized that the people I was listening to must be deities or highly magic. To hear more, I would need to step out into the thin air. Could I fly? Then I woke up.

Lower Pluto Boyfriends And Lucid Dreaming

It was easily the most lucid and profound dream that I’ve had in ages.

So you’ve had this talisman a whole Saturn cycle and now you find it – let’s translate the symbols! I agree that stolen Tarot cards are shitty energy and thrilled that this person is a “then” not a “now.” What kind of character does that? Okay, fine. I once had a lower Pluto boyfriend who bought me flowers taken from a memorial. But it sounds like you’re not aligned with the remaining Tarot so I think it’s time to get yourself a new Tarot deck! And, read here why it is NOT bad luck to get your own Tarot cards.

I’m thrilled you find the site and my work useful, thank you! There are some amazing new features coming up over the next five months. And, back to Jupiter, you could just print out the Wheel of Fortune?

So, stolen Tarot cards, these symbols, lower Pluto boyfriends and lucky Jupiter rituals – thoughts?

update on meaning, provided – so kindly – by the maker himself in an email: “Happy that you still love the Wheel of Fortune . Some of the pieces I make are white lighted with intention when I am flaming the piece. The symbols I channel are light language and are drawn in a state of channeling. The intention of your piece from aeons ago is to manifest the truest connection to heart. Which in turn is able to bring you, your divine fortune. Blessings,” all of which is makes it feel magical and well-intentioned to me…under the pillow it… Read more »

Well, this is spooky-groovy… I too had a dream about living in a house that had layers and rooms I had not known were there, including a balcony overlooking a beautiful, fast flowing river. Then I realized that this part of the house is shared with the neighbours. When I asked them if it was ok for me to access the balcony, a very hip woman said, “of course.” There was more, but it seems poignant that I dreamt such a dream, then this morning found this post. Thanks, Mystic! I am likewise growing by leaps and bounds through the… Read more »

Okay my random guess is Saturn and Vesta on the sides and possibly Mercury or Venus below. Agree that the letters up top look Kabalah-ish … Hmmm that dream btw, wow. My dreams have been crazy the past few days. Really interesting. I’ve been feeling pretty low but in a way that feels good for the Jungian stuff. Feeling bad is good to Jungians:) – I’m kidding obviously. But this whole Saturn vibe is kind of a drag to say the least no? I checked today to see when Saturn is finished ramming my first house only to think, but… Read more »

Obviously I realise Saturn going through any house is very much a good thing. As a matter of fact I think Saturn in my 2nd house could easily be one of the best things ever to happen for me. My question was more philosophically flippant.
More like – how is the tough love on the money mojo transit going to be more fun than the hag transit?
pfffffff
that said, in my way I’m grateful for all of it, obviously…

I’m sure I’ve seen the symbol on the bottom in the Single Tarot. A site called symbols.com, under “Alchemical Symbols” shows a drawing very similar to it, although the horizontal line intersects the half-circle instead of the circle, and describes it as “an early chemical symbol indicating the metal tin.” Which I believe is the metal associated with Jupiter.

hehe, at least a stolen tarot deck is interestingly esoteric- my first boyfriend stole me a pair of short ugg-boots. He wasn’t a very nice person either, actually

I don’t like the top symbol so much though.

thank you mm! your dream sounds amazing…high above the clouds with highly magic characters discussing secret wisdom…so cool.

didn’t realise i’d had it for a full saturn cycle – definitely feels as though something fresh has come into my life since uranus in taurus arrived. i thankfully do have a new deck, the basic rider-waite and am kinda blown away by how readings just sorta come naturally, that everything makes sense now i’m in my late 40’s.

excited for both replies AND new features here…xx

Last night I had the most lucid dream for ages involved me walking around a Uni campus, where I was connected to or attending. I kept spotting snakes (vipers, adders and in-named) on the ground, I guess like snakes in the grass! I was warning people careful over there. I then ended up with a familiar friendly snake that was hassling me for attention and I tried to offer it some type of food but it wanted me more. I love symbolic dreams like this…

The familiar snake wanted you more. That sounds nice. Like you have something to teach her and vice versa.

Welp, I just chased this wild goose for a solid hour and have as a result reignited interest in the Kabbalah, the tarot, Templar symbols and also some pretty wild biblical colouring in books. As for solid answers I probably am only adding further confusion to the mix. – the row of four symbols looks like early forms of tarot symbols for the empress, the emperor, love or the sun, and death. The Saturn symbol is also the magus in the tarot, and the v on the right could be a crude rendition of the devil although is missing the… Read more »

My first wedding band was from that shop. I still have it but it would feel strange to wear it even though I love it. I feel like the designers surname was Ercole or something like that. Maybe you xan track them down and get it from the source?

Im a former Mormon. If you haven’t heard of this word before, Mormonism is the quintessential American religion founded in the Victorian era and its roots run deep into Freemasonry and those who were attracted to the religion had a “magical thinking” much more than other religions at the time who claimed to be “Christian.” Mormonism is steeped in some weird traditions but it is now sort of a really white washed version of it once was, decrying polygamy and coffee, tea, alcohol and immodest clothing (even though the first generation of Mormons were polyamorous-even though that ended up being… Read more »

Mormons were also running white slave rackets (so called by the police), where they were kidnapping European women and taking them to the US as “wives” for the Mormons. My partner’s grandmother which was living in London around 1910s-20s inadvertently busted one of those rings while she was travelling to work on a London bus. After that she was asked to work as an undercover agent for British intelligence, which she did for a few yrs helping bust another couple of rings.

Wow. I remember that shop vividly and bought a cross pendant when I was about 16. I don’t know what happened to it except that I know now cross symbolism is not resonant for me and never was. For me it was fashion, remember that Christian Lacroix Vogue cover 1988? I just googled it and read that it was Anna Wintour’s first Vogue cover. I don’t have anything useful to offer except this is so interesting and I’d like a new Tarot deck also, except I get such amazing readings using yours, Mystic. And ditto re the importance of this… Read more »

Ermergawd… My sun is at 14 Sagittarius.

I’m currently at sea, quite literally. Travelling for work. A couple of months out of a 2 year relationship with all my worldly goods stored a my mums house. I’m turning 38 in December.

This feels like it’s such a lucky time but I don’t know how and I’m worried about wasting the moment because I’m not in my “real” life, in my home. Or maybe I am?

Sadly I do not know what the other symbols mean! Surely someone around here will know.

My first tarot deck was from a lower Pluto boy who wanted to be my boyfriend – idk if it was stolen but it would not surprise me. A common experience I guess??

I was twelve when my mother gave me her personal deck, that she’d used it for years. Somehow I remember it being this beautiful moment of being gifted divine feminine wisdom from one generation to the next But honestly, she was abusively tidy, and was probably about to throw them in the trash, when I rescued them. But the story is that in about 1986 one of the little punk rock eagle muffin waifs, who’d gather daily in my apartment to watch clockwork orange over and over.., Stole my DEAth CARD!!!
