Venus In Gemini Reading

Venus in Gemini

Venus in Gemini reading is not usually ‘a thing’ – Mercury is more the deity that dictates or inspires literature. But Venus in this mercurial constellation is a cosmic cue to read about relationships.

This book, above, is what Diana, one of my Mega Mystic peeps just sent me, as an example of her Venus in Gemini reading.  Yes, she is Aries, not the Rams Horns in the background.

Anything around Anais Nin feels ultra-Neptune – which she was, of course.

The current Amazon best-selling relationship book is The Five Languages Of Love which seems like the 21st Century update of Men Are From Mars-Women Are From Venus.

Erudite people keep recommending The Soul Of Sex to me. Now, I am going actually to read it!

If you are female and feeling more in the mood for self-love, I recommend Goddesses In Everywoman. If you don’t know of it, the author delineates the various archetypes of the old female deities.

What are your Venus in Gemini reading recommendations? Of course, you could argue that Gemini is too skittish to do anything other than speed read the blurbs.

I’v had no desire to read.. not about relationships – but have noticed an intense shift in passion/interest/motivation in my work in healing arts… But I was trying to think of a book if I was in the mood, and the only thing/s that came to mind were…Mystic Medusa’s Soul Mating https://www.abebooks.com/Mystic-Medusas-Soul-Mating-Must-Have-Guide/15566568829/bd or Mystic’s Astro Guide book…seriously… Like a couple of other people here, I have been much more into music this last week… and feeling unbelievable JOY listening to and playing music socially with others. I have Venus and Saturn in gemini in 11th house.. and just realised my… Read more »

I dipped into Mystic’s Soul Mating the other day lol

I haven’t read those two books – the soul of sex and the 5 love languages in more than a decade. Other than the odd quick dip into a book I feel I’m Post Reading, like life now is beyond words. Which as a Gemini Moon and Sun is kinda weird.

Just finished Doris Lessing’s ‘The Habit of Loving’ billed on the cover as a ‘brilliant exploration of adult relationships’. Is a pretty tasty collection of vignettes of people in different relationships; romantic, pivotal, platonic and otherwise.

Was recently tempted by ‘By Grand Central Station I Sat Down And Wept’ at the bookstore. It might just have to be next.

Venus in Gemini native, loving all types of people comes easy but often gets me in trouble –

Honestly right now music is calling me; concentrating on anything remotely serious (Leo rising just wants to have fun!) has been proving difficult, the only things I can keep up with lately are the Daily Stoic + my horoscope

Interestlingly Venus is the esoteric ruler of Gemini. Gemini are the twins – symbol of the Mystic Marriage as in Isis and Osiris; Joachim and Boaz (Masonry); Magdalen and Jesus. I am living and writing in the ethers my own love story. Lately I have been identifying with the Queen of Sheba ( feminine Soul) as the blender of the Fires of Desire with the Waters of Emotion in the archetypal relationship between Solomon and Hiram (the former the designer and the latter the builder of the Temple). The masculine fires and feminine emotions are within each of us. They… Read more »

Thank you, Cynthia. I wish you blessings for your unfolding wisdom of self. That it brings you the perfect love within, and from that is forged a kind of loving for people you encounter (and animals! plants! the other works of human hands!)

As a natal Fire-Water type, it’s an inspiring reminder. Things have been a bit ashy of late, not that it’s a bad thing but Piscean/Sagittarians like to hone ourselves into the forward and that vision is a tad inchoate just now.

Thanks again: i will trust that there’s always growth, an impetus to new growth.

I’m currently finishing off “The Sensational Past – How the Enlightenment Changed The Way We Used Our Senses” by Carolyn Purnell which is a fascinating look at all things emotional and sense based. Also the cover is super Venus! Intellectual, fascinating, and lovely to read.

Soon to be followed by ‘All About Love – New Visions” by bell hooks.

A Vindication of Love by Cristina Nehring:

A paean to unconventional relationships and to bold women from myth, history, and literature. It’s an absolute favorite, and has been formative: I’m always giving copies to friends who are feeling hamstrung by banal muggle love truisms — and, more recently, to my partner for inspiration. It’s written in a high, eloquent polemic style and just beautiful.

This last weekend i began AND threw out what would clearly be an anti-Venus book – *Eros & the Mysteries of Love: The Metaphysics of Sex* A hefty & attractive 2nd hand book i picked up (NN on my Venus) with a very promising and alluring title. After a few pages & chapter skimming i got whiffs of rank mysoginism in the author’s view on women. When i looked him up – Julius Evola – i saw why. He was a fascist thinker/philosopher and a proponent of Traditionalism – whereby progress and equality are deemed “poisonous illusions” :-O But there… Read more »

Yes, that’s what i thought & what the author was actually implying: love carries the seed of hate & vice versa. The yin within the yang, the yang within the yin, fine line between love & hate, etc. For the ancient Chinese it’s more to do about following your fate as predestined by the heavens. For example, if a young woman is unhappy about an arranged marriage she can at once, through an act of understanding, become a happy and contented wife. For the husband has in her eyes become a “predestined enemy,” and the Chinese proverb says, “The predestined… Read more »

You can abuse trines, conjuncts and sextiles and, conversely, you can overcome squares and oppositions.

Tripping out from that. I note that some commenters mention endings or obliquely refer to being unattached. There was a saying somewhere: When facing your enemy always aim for his weakest point. We get to know our partner’s weakest point in the deepest of intimacies, regardless of our beautiful intentions. I believe having an enemy is also a kind of rage-intimacy, you clock their slightest; they clock you; there is exquisite response. Loving intimacy breaks down when we realise our self is unfed, not reciprocated lovingly as we think the loving should be. This could take any form, from feeling… Read more »

this is an amazing book + I think it should be required reading for every ASTROLOGER, even though there’s no work about it. Instead, they focus on science and levels of certain (4, and yes, I feel that they correspond to elements neatly) hormones and how that influences needs in relationship.

I recently read Fidelity by Thich Nhat Hanh and found it really insightful with tips that are simple to implement. I highly recommend that book for anyone in a committed relationship. Per Mystic’s recommendations my current audiobook (not my preference but the only copy the library had available anytime soon) is Antifragile.

Venus in Gemini, conjunct Jupiter in the 8th. You would think I could whip out a list of these types of books but it’s proving to be a challenge! Khalil Gibran books are amazing for this type of theme. I haven’t read him for a while but I’ll go out on a limb to say he gives you a spiritual high. Matthew Hussey – an actual Gemini.

My love life is the fuqing pits after being dumped…. no, not dumped… not even given a chance, yet again.

So, I have been watching Matthew Hussey YouTube clips for days.

Cancer, Capricorn rising – I feel my horoscope is mocking me when it comes to love. It is NEVER in the favour of something good in love. My flash points are just END after END after END for EIGHT YEARS.

I’m so angry and sad and I fed up.

Really keen to get the MM take on this text of moore having read some his other soul affirming and polytheistic meandering thoughts, you would think such esoteric and philosophic proclivity would make the simplicity of sex even more obtuse but alternatively delectable. Like the fortunes of a summer shower or the silver lining of winter privations. Its not just the thought that counts but the sharing intimate alchemies

Looks like I’m off theme haha I’ve been intuitively inspired to read Antifragile by Nassim Nicholas Taleb, another one of MM’s highly recommended must read books. Although, having said that, a lot of huge changes in my relationship, huge good but also huge scary, if you know what I mean. Tectonic shifts in how we’ve going to live and create our life together. The Five Languages of Love is a helpful primer to the concept that we all experience and express our needs for connection and affirmation differently, and that for a relationship to be successful, both partners should take… Read more »

Sharon Salzberg’s Real Love: The Art of Mindful Connection. Clear, honest, compassionate, helpful work on meditation-nourished love. The book starts with self-love (and all the undermining conditions we struggle with on the way there, cultural and familial), and spirals gently to other relationships.

I’m also reading Roxane Gay’s Hunger – for the Chiron in Pisces / Pluto in Capricorn undertones. Devastating and difficult truths expressed in beautiful language.
