We know the old rule about Mercury Retrograde and signatures. It’s no! But what if you have to sign during Mercury Retrograde? Should you anticipate the worst? Not at all. These things happen, and there is no point going all Dark Ages on it.
I’m scared. Tomorrow I’m due to sign a contract, and I know you don’t recommend this during Mercury Retrograde.
Here’s the thing though, I often find myself doing/buying things during Mercury Retrogrades. I loathe shopping with a passion and do it as little as possible, but often find myself presented with great shopping opportunities during Mercury Retrograde and rarely regret them. I bought my first ever car for myself at the age of 49 three years ago during this time, and I still love it as much today as the day I bought it.
Today, the first day of the current Mercury Retrograde cycle, I’ve found myself suddenly catching up on jobs I’ve delayed for months. I bought some jeans to replace the ones I ripped, framed paintings that have been sitting in my lounge room since January, ordered a new cable television box to replace the one that broke down during summer. It’s like Mercury Retrograde forces me to deal with things I regularly put off. Is that a thing?
The contract I’m signing tomorrow is a rental lease for my daughter, which is a HUGE step forward for her. She’s had massive health issues for the last seven years, and moving into her place will help her move on with her life. I haven’t heard her sound so happy and excited in years. This move will mark a real turnaround in the lives of us all. But should I be scared?

Mercury Retrograde And Signatures Mostly Applies To Ventures That Sprang Up During Mercury Retrograde
Mercury Retrograde – ANY Retrograde – can be amazing. And indeed, some people are immune to them. Or, such as yourself, they get fantastic results from them. Perhaps you are SO Air-Element intensive that you automatically readjust to be in the current Flow?
My other theory is that people who are very Uranian/their astrology tend to “over-rule” Mercury Retrogrades. Also, fixing things that have broken down or which you suddenly realize ought to be fixed is very Merc Retro. The kind of contract signing you should not do on Mercury Retrograde is of the sort of agreement that springs up during Mercury Retrograde.
If it is a job offer, trip or arrangement conceived or sorted before this Mercury Retrograde, do it. You’re not starting something new, you’re finalizing or repairing something already in play. And seven years ago was the start of Uranus in Aries so here’s hoping that this Mercury Retro in Taurus is the messenger of your more stable and grounded passage of Uranus in Taurus from May 2018!
What does everyone else think – is your Mercury Retro generally a blur of mix-ups, irritations, lost revenue and faux pas or do you experience pure serendipity and inspiration flow?
