Is this the mouthiest Olympics yet? It sure seems like it. There have been so many spats and mouth-off incidents, with the latest being Triple Leo USA soccer team captain Hope Solo saying of the Swedish team: “I also think we played a bunch of cowards. But the best team did not win today. I strongly, firmly believe that.”
Broadly, Sagittarius is “sport” and Saturn is, well, issues showing up. And it seems like whereas the Olympics is ideally an oasis of international camaraderie and competition sans global tensions, this time around they’re everywhere. Like the blatant statement made in public by Australian swimmer Mack Horton (Taurus) about Saggo Chinese swimmer Sun Yang and alleged drug cheating. See here for the Washington Post’s slideshow on the controversies around Rio and here for (lighter read) the drama lovers guide to the games.
The next big potential for a snit is probably the double Leo fastest man in the world – Usain Bolt versus the Aquarius Justin Gatlin, in the men’s 100m.
To this day the fastest woman in the world is still (I think) the incomparable super Sagg Flo-Jo. She was a quadruple Sagittarius – Mercury, Mars, Jupiter and Sun. What would she had made of all this? And, shallow question, how much does Hope Solo resemble her fellow Leo, the UFC champion Miesha Tate?
