Bellatrix – The Amazon Star

Boudicca

Bellatrix means “female warrior” and is a star, fixed always at 20/21 Gemini.  It is also known as the Amazon star. Joan of Arc had it aligned with her Pluto.  But it is kind of annoying that so many of the great female warriors have no documented birth dates. Sometimes even the year is vague.

The Mayan Warrior Queens, Artemisia of Caria (a Persian Admiral, no less), Nzinga Mbande,  Trieu Thi Trinh and hundreds more don’t have birth data so accurate as we would like.

But Krystyna Skarbek does – she is the woman Ian Fleming based his spy character in Casino Royale on and seriously, you have to read this article about her with her amazing astrology in mind.

She was Taurus Sun, Moon and Mercury – something beautiful rising and (get this) Mars, Pluto, Venus, and the Amazon Star Bellatrix all together in Gemini.

How so very inneresting!!….

Hmm

My south node !

Maybe I was her lol is she still alive?

virgoy-scorp

wow what a cool star! Bellatrix is conjunct my MC/ Psyche. According to this I should aspire to a career in art forgery? Lol, probably not. http://www.angelfire.com/empire/serpentis666/Degrees.html

virgoy-scorp

her placement reminds me of a line from my favorite movie… “I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion.”

Athena

Like that quote. What movie?

Aquaria

Blade Runner. Said by Rutger Hauer’s character, the replicant Roy Batty, when he’s bout to die.

leoliza

My genetic scientist daughter has this exact on her 10th house 21Gem sun and her 22gem chiron..trine to 8th house Jup….and opposite 4th house uranus… (she’s an excellent teacher/mentor to younger scientists) She is a boss-bitch! She gets things done, has a commanding persona..is in control of situations etc. AND an excellent manifester (unknowingly) always has flight delays/free flights/hotels etc coming home from trips (i always say..’you are getting the universe to make it so that you don’t have to go home/work!”)

Z

On my midheaven trine Saturn and opposition Neptune. What is this? Super-disciplined, super-self-aware, lighting-rod public warrior?

WaterGem

Just read my Gem scope (kind of on topic – Bellatrix is a Gemini right?) so amazingly nailed it Mystic!

MoonLilith

Conjunct my 8th House Mars retro at 19 Gemini. Very interesting. I always knew I was a secret spy warrior princess in a previous life.

SleepfulInBrisvegas

Extra clout for my ‘warrior-writer’ mantle. Bellatrix is in my Gemini 3rd house and is opposite my Pallas-Sun conjunction.

Catherine

Bellatrix conjunct mars and mercury in the 8th house., which is gemini,.your in house magician warrior here! Also trine Neptune in my 12 th house which is conjunct my ascendant

Lux Interior Is My Co-Pilot

This is the kind of post I live for.

Shoshannah

Regulus supposedly the most benefic (though they all seem a bit double edged) recently moved into Virgo, I wonder whether it will be noticeable when the node passes over 0-1 degree Virgo in 2017.

tw:leo

oooooh. will be watching that!

LiberatingVenus

Oh, it’s a lot more than that – there is a solar eclipse closely conjunct Regulus on August 21, 2017! Was chatting w/ someone on here about this a while back…think it was the lovely Anhk. If you would like to get a good look at the effects of this star, observe what goes on around the time of that eclipse for sure! Regulus is also one of the four Archangel Stars and is associated with Archangel Raphael, patron saint of healing & lovers. As Regulus is also known as Cor Leonis – the Heart of the Lion – I… Read more »

Shoshannah

Oh wow, thanks, I will deffo keep an eye on that eclipse. I like the fixed stars without knowing much about them at all. I have Peacock on my Cap asc *snort*. I like to believe the bit about increasing longevity because my youth was spent in severely constricted circumstances caring for people, now that the pressure is easing off, I would like some time to live rather than exist, so roll on the years, Peacock conjunct Ascendant, please!

The Venus Fly

It makes me laugh when people state Taureans are “conservative”. Do they know any? Because I usually find it’s the Fire/Air signs with mega placements in Earth who are more fixed than any Taurean I’ve ever known. Taurean suns, and especially those of us with multiple natal placements in Taurus, could give zero fucks – we do it OUR way, fuck all of y’all. Maverick to the hilt – LOVE IT. Go on with your bad self, Ms. Skarbe <3

Lux Interior Is My Co-Pilot

That is so fuqing true–conservative according to their own personal laws–which may be wacked out as fuq.

Oneirix

I suspect only conjunctions really matter with fixed stars but it’s fun to see Bellatrix an exact trine with my Mars and near-exact sextile with my Sun! Maybe just a teensy bit more “oomph” to my furnaces.

Aquaria

Conjunct my Ascendant and my Mars/Achilles combo. And I’m into martial arts, yeah.

hdq

Bellatrix rising and on Sun. Comment awaiting moderation for two hours. Back away, me, this is not a worthy battle.

Electro

Ah, an addition to my 8th house Gemini stellium. Conjunct my Venus & Jupiter. Can’t keep track of the asteroids. Fun!

sphinx

What’s the deal with fixed stars? It seems like a star that got lazy and couldn’t be bothered with a trundle. (This isn’t a scientific thought)

I am not sure I trust such a star to represent anything for me. I mean I get the Galactic Centre, that’s cool, but why should I trust this “I only represent Gemini warrior people” Bellatrix?
Can anyone enlighten me?

Electro

Ask Gary for advice 😉

sphinx

Ha! He seems like the guy who gets in the way of knowledge..

tw:leo

stars are much too far away for us to see them move at all! i certainly don’t know as much about them as the planets and asteroids and nearer mobile bodies, but i think it’s cool that they have essentially remained in the same place in the sky for like 5ever. stars like sirius, regulus, etc surely were observable enough to past humans for them to obtain some archetype!

tw:leo

i think that fixed stars would only affect something via a tight conjunction, and function like an enhancement. aldebaran, the right eye of taurus, is exact conjunct my gemini moon at 9 degrees. from what i understand of aldebaran, he’s kind of intense/ knows how to play the game. jfk had his sun conjunct it. i can definitely perceive how it makes my clearly gemini moon a little extra gem, with a touch of raging charisma and badassery being that it’s a bull’s eye.

sphinx

Ooh I looove Sirius, I totally get that this star system has import due to so many mentions of it in Egyptian and other cultures. I am reading “The Sirius Connection” atm and I wish it was a bigger part of the astrology of our day. It also has rises as the Nile inundates so has a sense of ‘movement’?
But I guess intuiting what Bellatrix means just by her name confuses me, I like Alderbran etc too because it has legacy or history (Mercury in Cancer here).

supakali

it is a choice name though, I find it very evocative!

tw:leo

oooh cool re: nile. fixed stars seem to be a really big deal in astrology in that area of the world.

tbh bellatrix really only makes me think of lestrange. but the name has grown on me over time and it’s quite lovely and i am excited about its star!

davidl

They ‘seen’ to be fixed as in they don’t look like they move in relationship to other stars. So like Mercury or Mars or Venus ‘seen’ to have retro movement but in fact don’t. i gave up on retros a while back. We know that they don’t actually move backwards so why worry ?

davidl

‘Seem’

sphinx

Yeah, I don’t care about retro’s either. I think we co-create our reality so investing in a somewhat negative belief is not worthwhile. I don’t wanna manifest that and certainly the fact that it’s illusory adds a quotient of delusion to the concept for me.

supakali

i don’t think it’s necessarily negative but I do think the retros have a distinct energetic quality and my god, that last one removed any doubts I might have had, although possibly that was just about so much pluto

supakali

review: actually I’m not sure it’s direction that matters – it’s connection with other celestial bodies and points in the sky/our charts and when the retro occurs we get some repetition of that

supakali

ie. the reversed direction might be thought of illusory, but the concentration/review of a particular part of the sky from our vantage point isn’t, is what I’m thinking

sphinx

Thank you, this is really interesting supa-k, will chew on it!

LiberatingVenus

Fixed stars are awesome! The ancients used them all the time – all the greats from Manilius to Ptolemy! It is only in modern times that we seem to have forgotten their significance – I would very much like to see this area of astrological study come back into favor, as there is great wisdom contained in the stars! Modern astrology has largely sidelined this subject in astrological interpretations – in fact, some of the more comparatively “recent” reference materials date all the way back to the early 1900’s with the respective works of Vivian Robson and Elsbeth Ebertin, so… Read more »

sphinx

Waaaah! Thank you! This is cool, an impassioned plea for fixed stars! I want to believe, I dare say MM will do more on them at some point. I will do more research in the meantime! Thanks again LV. If you have any good links am interested.

LiberatingVenus

You are very welcome – look up the works of Diana Rosenberg, Vivian Robson, and Elsbeth Ebertin (rest their souls) just to name a few. I will not link to link to living astrologers here as I think that a horribly tacky thing to do.

I don’t mind sharing this site for general info, though, as they do not sell anything:

Happy exploring, my dear!

Kittybat

Very cool, thanks LV 🙂

baristagem

Amazing women!

I have Gemini Sun at 21 degrees 3rd house, conjunct Venus & Moon.

I have a very strong yoga warrior pose 😀

davidl

If your sun and my asc conjunct at 21 gem, does that mean my outward persona is a reflection of the inner you ? That’s pretty interesting. And for you maybe a little scary 😉

baristagem

Haha, yes perhaps! My Pisces Rising keeps me quiet but I’m most likely barracking for you in the stands! lol 🙂 🙂

WaterGem

Conjunct my Gem sun! In there with the rest in my packed 12 th house incl Mars. I find it a kind of tricky (that’s Gemini for you) energy here. Any suggestions welcome – ‘stealth warrior’ perhaps? Since I was a child I have found that the fight against the use of power to harm/exploit me or others with less apparent power/ resources has often come to me whether I want it consciously not. I know that humour has been and continues to be one of my most effective ‘weapons’.

davidl

Exact conjunct my ascendant at 21 deg Gemini. Yeah baby.

baristagem

Nice Davidl!

PlutoMoon

It’s exactly conjunct my DSC 20 Gem.

Geminian

She’s on my ascendant, square my natal Pluto, Jupiter and Uranus conjunction in my third house. No coward soul is mine 😉

hdq

Bellatrix rising, baby! AC at 19, sun at 21. I often feel very much like a spy, though for whom, I do not know. Also warrior consciousness. Luckily (haha) there is no shortage of injustice to battle.

Amazing wiki about K.S!! Did the article not get linked tho?

Invicta

I clicked on the “wrong” type of chart by “accident and realised I have my rising at the same degree as the galactic centre 26 deg Sag which is interesting I guess. I know Bellatrix is strong in my chart but not sure how exactly to work it out. Brain fog intense this week pfff and my computer and entire electronic admin “system” is behaving strangely ATM I went paperless translation just bagged up every bit of paper I could found and dumped it in the recycler. Life is a bit up in the air right now. I go out… Read more »

tw:leo

bellatrix is exact conjunct my eros at 20 gem. my psyche and moon are hanging out nearby, and this is all opposite my 22 degree sag ascendant. i do ruthlessly and with spy-like tendencies pursue those (men, mostly) with whom i feel an undeniable attraction. currently doing this with a man whose mars is exact conj mine and his venus exact conj mine. thank you, eros. luckily i kind of live for that almost-painful lust of [what feels like to me] a soulmate scenario. these gem placements are in the 6th. a “spy” is my most long-standing dream job. i… Read more »

Darkktur

Conjunct my Jupiter, sextile mars/pluto ,trine saturn/neptune. Explains a lot.

annica

coolio fixed stars! On my Saturn and DC. I’ve always dug women warrior types.

Do Vindemiatrix sometime in the future! Pretty please! I have so many friends who have this in a potent spot and truly they end up widows!!! One friend had it conj her sun and the other was a Cap who had it conj her asc!

Invicta

Omg she’s on my Saturn 20 Gem and conj my DC too
snap!

Invicta

In the sixth house which might explain my physical fitness as meditation practice and medicine. The only way I ever feel good is when my body is engaged in some challenging action. Even if the challenge is Yin Yoga, it still always happens IN my body and via movement of my body. The connection to my state of mind I get from movement is far more powerful than any chemical substance or mental, emotional practice. Health happens when I move my body. The body building stuff makes sense in the context of my learning that stuff when I was early… Read more »

This site has got this to say about
Bellatrix conj Saturn

http://www.constellationsofwords.com/stars/Bellatrix.html

With Saturn: Secluded and studious life, reserved, thoughtful owing to lack of interest, poverty at end of life, often single but if married the partner may die young, no children. [Robson*, p.146.]

davidl

See, I would read that and immediately think what a load of old fashioned poppycock.
Someone mentioned Robson who wrote the above and now I know why her guff was dismissed or forgotten years ago. Reading her interps says a lot more about her than the possible effects of a fixed star conjunction.

davidl

Drops microphone, walks away

annica

Any fixed star authors you do recommend? A lot of fixed stars just seem unlucky.
I mean I take negatively written descriptors of myself with a grain of salt. I do have to say I do superficially resemble the Robson suggestion as a warrior-nun type.

davidl

No room here to respond but I don’t believe there is any unlucky aspects x

annica

astro-twinsies! yeah!

Delilah

Its semi sextile my moon in 7th house, conjunct saturn in my 5th house, trine my uranus.
