Weather Magic is real and it begins with the Winds. Winds are the Air element, carrying messages and memories from other lifetimes. Every direction of Wind has an associated deity; some are more friendly than others.
I know about compass directions – North, North East, East and so on. I never got the point. Literally. Think: Mediocre navigation skills and booted out of Girl Scouts. Aquarius Rising can knock out any compass. In our presence, they spin around like the ones in The Blair Witch Project.
But the wind is another phenomenon altogether. The breeze that the ancients thought to be some sort of magical, intelligence carrying substance has been demoted to air currents moving under varying pressure.
Some winds carry change and the scent of strange other dimensions with them. We all know them. They smell like another time or place. They stir deja-vu and the desire for change.
The Winds Carry Fragrance, Memory and Messages From Other Dimensions
Remember some nights when you have lain in bed, awake and listening to the wind. Some winds go between time and different ages.
Scent is an under-rated psychic sense and the wind carries any fragrance. If winds go between worlds, lives and different eras, it makes sense that we throw ashes to the wind. Significant encounters or souls moving dimensions are often heralded by a weird slap or swirl of the wind.
It’s irrational but wind does what it wants, obviously.
Unless it is going to turn your house inside out, it is always a good idea to let the breeze in to communicate with you. In Feng Shui – which means ‘Wind and Water’ – every direction has a different affinity. They’re linked to acupuncture, plants and the I-Ching. (Fairy Tales have different witches in charge of each wind.)
Every Direction Of Wind Has Its Own Deity Or Witch
You literally move the head of your bed or desk to face this different deity or spirit vibe. If there is a force moving around all the time, a la quantum physics, it makes sense to try and align with the best of it.
Feng Shui is big on the placement of stuff to go with the “new wind” – the same as acupuncture wants to activate and go with your vital force or Qi.
What I did not know, until just now, is that there are certain magical winds associated with each point of the compass.
There are more, see the link but WOW. Magic Winds. Big winds that live for millennia, have ancient names, are associated with certain directions and most likely have correlations with elements, events and all manner of things.
See the Wiki here for Wind Deities from more or less every culture.
Next time a big wind blows in, the kind that seems to ozone everything and bring a new vibe in the air, remember this: the Wind was deemed a sacred force in basically every culture to date.
Every direction has a name, a role, and a character behind it. Call it a Witch, name the Deity according to your ancestral culture or deem it air pressure.
OR, when you really notice a wind, say hello, note its origin for later research and ask what it wants to tell you.
