I’m wondering if there is a “good” time in the next few months for a Virgo to quit. My job doing social media for a big media company is amazing, I love the people I work with but it’s not my passion and I can’t keep faking it. I feel it’s getting closer to quitting time.
What I want is to work for myself and really launch my food blog and YouTube channel as that’s what I love… Teaching people how to cook! (Or at least that’s what I think I want. There are lots of thing I think I want but decided just to go with this one because if not I’ll sit in analysis paralysis forever).
I’m afraid that the Saturn square in November may not be the best time to quit or may be a haha you thought you had it together..but you don’t let me show you from Saturn?
With Jupiter in Virgo I’m guessing quitting is what I’m supposed to do even if it’s scary and I’ll probably sit on the floor at some point covered in flour crying and questioning everything?
When to leap?
Emily The Virgo
Dear Emily The Virgo,
You are nailing it! As in your assessment of the situation is SO lucid and on point. It’s a particularly apt scenario for not just Virgos but all the Mutable signs at the moment. I said in the Daily Mystic email for Thursday that SO many Mutables (Virgo, Gemini, Pisces, Saggo) glided through the Zap Zone and are around about now, going ‘oh fuq’.
Because Jupiter in Virgo, Saturn in Sagittarius and Neptune in Pisces are forming this gigantic T-Square sort of a thing. In many cases it zaps the Mutable peeps in their most poignant places.
Like “don’t mention the…” Whoops, it did not just get “mentioned” – it’s flame-thrown into that wall over there. Which may not be so stable after all. Add: “checking wall stability” to do list before daily existential crisis deadline.
If you can’t relate to that above paragraph, you’re probably not a Mutable sign or rising sign.
ANYWAY, Emily. YES Jupiter operates like that. It is not just like the tycoon from Monopoly rocks up with a suitcase full of cash and your dream date, Muse or spirit guide in tow. First Jupiter gallops around the reservation like a wild centaur, shitting on everything and getting his hooves caught on electric fencing that you did not even know was concealed in the lush green grass. Hell. You become hideously aware of limitations. And then that triggers the Jupiter rut-fuqing mode.
But Saturn square Neptune is not to be messed with. I would love to say go for it, follow your bliss, find Jupiter in the night sky and sit beneath him in your glorious nudity, clothed only sanskrit henna tattoos, make a wish and good things will happen.
But Saturn-Neptune is a bubble buster and if you even remotely subscribe to the idea that there are unreal elements of our economy/the current financial structure, this is not the time to be roaring off into self-employed cult food blogger/You Tube star land. If you do, you need solid backing, enough funds to sustain at least six months of foundationing and a coherent plan.
I think that the Jupiter-Pluto trine (Oct 2015, March 2016, June 2016) is the strongest time to launch such a venture. So you sit this out – you say the day job is ‘amazing’ – let the first square of Saturn/Neptune do its work in November and plan for the long-term. If this idea/impetus is strong in October, it’s even stronger next year when Pluto again is in sync to Jupiter in Virgo.
But nobody – especially – the Mutable signs can discount Saturn at the moment. Congrats on the rad candor & clarity – that’s totally Saturn in Sagittarius but scheme-scheme-scheme.
What does everyone else think?
