Ronda Rousey Is Plutonic

Ronda Rousey Walk Out

I got chills watching the UFC champion Ronda Rousey walking out to her signature fight song Bad Reputation to front Bethe Correria on the weekend. It was the climax to weeks of bitching and trash talk. Most of it was from Rousey’s Brazilian opponent, who reached a new low when she referred to Ronda’s father, who died from suicide when RR was eight years old.  Before that it had just been a string of accusations around RR being fake and a media creation etc etc.

The fight was sensational and Ronda is now indisputably the greatest female fighter in history and one of the all-time great combative athletes. We’ve looked at her chart before but frustratingly, there is no birth time. Her Aquarius Sun is square Pluto in Scorpio, so there’s that inability to stagnate. She has Mars, Vesta and the North Node all in Aries – she has this rawness in her television appearances, crying easily and then going into the octagon to pulverize her opponents.  I think she’s either Aries or Scorpio Rising.

Her Prometheus/Lilith are in Kataka and she has Moon in Pisces on Jupiter – her relationship with her mother is particularly strong.  RR also has Diana, Venus and Uranus conjunct in Sagittarius. She’s sensationally big mouthed. I love how she said, in relation to some reporter saying she was looking chunky or had put on too much weight; “i train for combat not to fuq millionaires.”

I see Rousey as a Leo rising in a Muhammad Ali type of way – confident and dominant. Possibly rising on Regulus star putting her Aries Mars & North Node in 8th house of transformation and regeneration. Her moon and jupiter in Pisces also in 8th house. I see her more as an Aries moon than Pisces. Aries moon needs to win and she hates losing. Her gift (jupiter) is transformation. Her pluto in Scorpio would be in 3rd house. I’ve read her book. She was born with umbilical cord wrapped around her neck and had to overcome severe speech… Read more »

Oh guys, no! She’s a horrible transmisogynist. Have a look at the nasty things she’s said about Fallon Fox 🙁

Rache(Aqua/Tauri)
Rache(Aqua/Tauri)

1) She says nasty stuff about every potential opponent, trash talk is part of the deal in this sport.
2) No matter what her gender is (which is a construct and fluid and is NOT bio sex), Fallon does have a different bone structure and density just biologically.

You can’t just say that women shouldn’t fight or be matched against men because of the bone structure argument/fact and then say that this situation is fair? I’m sorry but when it comes to athletes competing it’s not an issue about “acceptance”, this is way different.

ArcaneDazeMM Member
ArcaneDaze

When a transgender woman takes estrogen, her bones will lose the density that testosterone allows and will weaken to the level that massive amounts of estrogen will allow. There’s no advantage based on bone density for someone on hormone replacement therapy.

Black women on the average have the same bone density as white men, but we would never segregate fighters by race.

sphinxMM Member
sphinx

Maybe this is ignorant of me, as I am not well informed on the topic, but perhaps to make it fair there has to be a monitoring process of how much oestrogen is taken over a certain period of time so one can see the equalising effect of the hormonal changes/ bone density changes take place.
It takes a few years at minimum, no?
And would an athlete purposely be taking hormones to weaken themselves before a big fight? Certainly it is the opposite in most arenas with steroid abuse occurring systemically in many sports.

ArcaneDazeMM Member
ArcaneDaze

Transgender female fighters must undergo a minimum of a two years of hormone replacement therapy to be licensed to fight. Eric Vilain, who helped the Association of Boxing Comissions write their policy on trans athletes (and is the director of the Institute For Society And Genetics at UCLA) has said that trans women have significantly less muscle strength and bone density and higher fat mass than males.

I don’t want to argue about this stuff here, btw. I just can’t sit silently and watch this woman be celebrated when she’s wilfully spread harmful misinformation about a very marginalised population.

sphinxMM Member
sphinx

Cool, thanks for the information, I am not arguing btw, just learning and what you say makes sense. Transgender sportspeople must have it tough and it would be good if RR was inclusive in her language as she is a leader in the sports world.

rachel
rachel

You know, I don’t want to argue either. And I’m not any expert on the science and on who is taking what when. But I just don’t see anyone winning through this. If Fallon wins, people will cry about it being unfair because of a biological advantage, if the fight doesn’t happen because Ronda doesn’t feel comfortable fighting this girl then Ronda’s automatically a bigot even if some of her concerns may be valid. Nobody wins here.

Rache(Aqua/Tauri)
Rache(Aqua/Tauri)

I really think she’s Aries rising. Something about her face shape, and that would make her Mars-NN-rising in Aries.

Also, there are now “Don’t be a DNB (do-nothing-bitch)” shirts and hoodies for charity! https://represent.com/ronda I’m so getting one haha

sphinxMM Member

I would get one, but I am kind of a do-nothing-bitch, lol.

(I am more internally focused generally, but I also can’t do sports anymore due to ligament problems)

It is a curious choice of image to accompany the slogan, no?

Rache(Aqua/Tauri)
Rache(Aqua/Tauri)

lol Yes, in my way I am a do-nothing-bitch certainly compared to her (!!!) but I just adore her and her mom’s passion for following their passions. That’s the main message I’m taking from it… get up every day and follow your own dreams, even if they’re being a computer dork (or in Ronda’s sisters’ cases, which her mom equally supported, a middle school history teacher and a journalist).

Interesting image yes, I guess Ronda has struggled with body image stuff and this is her owning it?

sphinxMM Member
sphinx

I guess beds make me think of doing nothing. Or sex.
So while sitting up looking super sexy and languidly tying back her hair she is at the same time saying ..don’t do that?!

sphinxMM Member
sphinx

Just read that Ronda had apraxia growing up and didn’t speak until she was six. Everyone thought she was possibly mentally challenged due to being born with the umbilical cord around her neck. It’s commonly misdiagnosed and even her smart mamma didn’t pick up the exact problem. As my little boy nears six and can’t speak I read this kind of thing with kind of desperate hope, plus it makes me love RR a little bit more knowing her challenges were considerable.

I haven’t really thought about my Aqua sun square Pluto in Scorpio… like the poster above, me and Ronda are born four days apart and many identical placements… but I have more earth influence from Taurus moon and rising. So people think I’m like this shy sweetheart at first but then when I start to open up there’s a lot of intensity hahaah.

yeh, I have Cap rising (though no other earth besides Neptune) and blame my biggest romantic debacles on fellas being misled by the rising sign, and not seeing all the batty, obdurate Aqua and fiery Sagg and Aries stuff that I actually have going on. To say nothing of the Plutonic. . . .

I’m reading her memoir, Rousey, right now and was just going to recommend it! DEFINITELY Plutonic – her dad died in front of her when she was 8 – he was test-driving a sled that he wanted to make sure was safe for her and her two sisters.

Oooh Taurus could be right actually. Especially when you look at that top pic with the furrowed brow and nostrils flared. Would account for the intensity and the tenacity but the ability to bring the glamour too, there is something very Venusian about her despite her toughness.

I got choked up when she came out to that song. I love her so much. Aries or Scorpio makes the most sense, it’s actually hard to know which because the eyes have the Scorp but the attitude and the forthrightness is Aries. I have to say though after watching the last fight and various interviews with her though I got a strong Leo vibe, that hair, her desire to go into acting, the strong family pride, the need to be the best, she’s a great show woman and her mum is a Leo – often find the Sun/ASC in… Read more »

So unbelievably fierce and hot on at least 17 different levels. Moon in Pisces wow. I wouldn’t have expected that placement in a fighter, especially of her calibre (DISCLAIMERThat sounds signist but I’m talking astro genetics and this is pure speculation). That actually makes sense in a Taoist sort of way. Water flows and the moon is water. Maybe by feeling those feeling and having them flow she is better able to fight. “Signist”…sometimes it’s hard not to be. My daughter is a Pisces Moon, but her Mars in the 1st House does NOT BACK DOWN (which I constantly. That Moon is a highly-evolved empathic-vibrato-mechanism and there could be terrible defense weapons employed to guard it, assuming the sort of mindful parenting that both recognizes this sensitivity and has the opportunity to cultivate its expression. And she owns that Moon mask. Look at the difference in appearance between weigh-in (blonde, smiling, cheery) and pre-fight (greasy head, eyes burning, scowl). Pisces contradiction right there…so typical…two different women? Only in your head, man!!! What Ronda… Read more »

One badass chick…Moon in Pisces, the emotions just ripple across her face. She knows her own softness, faces it, taps it when she faces others. Bethe was lucky to leave with her head still attached to her shoulders.

Scorp rising, I reckon. Pluto on Asc ‘d account for the emotional depth that you wouldn’t expect from an Aqua Sun with Aries rising. Death of father a big feature, and death/loss shapes Pluto in Scorp rising. There’s also that thing (repulsion/deep jealousy and desire to bring them down) that Scorp rising’s attract – people are fascinated by and attempt to poke sticks at the vulnerability they repress/overcome but cannot entirely hide, a la Correa’s comments re father (bitch). That’d put her Mars Venus Vesta in 6th house – work ethic – and moon jupe in 5th – deep need to… Read more »
