Maybe this Mercury Retrograde is more like a neuro-transmission? There are definitely some new neural pathways being blazed and the old ones bull dozed. By the time it is out of shadow – late June – the new neural pathways should be actually traversible.
Anyway, by popular request, an explanation of the Recent Comments widget. It seems that ANY Recent Comments widget is crashing the site and/or causing bad gateways BECAUSE there are now in excess of 200K Comments on here. So every time the widget goes looking for the newest ones – whenever someone accesses the front page – it has to scan them all. It is something like that. There is a better technical explanation but it is down until a better solution is found. And better a site that loads than the Recent Comments, right?
And, this from subscriber Abigail Stone re this delightful little transit…
So, here’s my Mercury retrograde tale. Up until this morning, it’s actually been a fairly smooth ride — a couple of speed bumps when I felt sure I broke the coffee machine and the brakes have started squealing whenever I put the air conditioner on and my credit card number got taken — but these are the kinds of things I was expecting.
And then this morning. I woke up without a voice. My doctor’s put me on voice rest for the week — no talking at all! And wouldn’t you know that I’m supposed to moderate a panel this week — Thursday night — on behalf of one of the magazines I write for — a nice career pat on the back. I’m hoping that maybe I’ll be able to speak above a whisper by then.
I’m crossing my fingers that Mercury direct will bring my voice back. Communication starts up again then, right?
Classic. But yes, communication starts up again, a.w.o.l. peeps re-enter one’s orbit and many a mystery resolves. Meanwhile it’s hell on the nerves.
