The Two Minute Guide To Understanding A Pisces

Vintage Pisces Art

Are you having problems understanding a Pisces? Even Pisces people find it difficult to understand one another or themselves. But here is the must-know take.

Understanding Pisceans is difficult even for actual Pisces people.  In some cases, it can be as if Pisces people have an invisible frequency that only they can pick up on, allowing them to evade one another elegantly.  There is never any resentment around this. Each Pisces has an excellent intuitive grasp of the Mutability Fade Out technique.

And Pisces people don’t suffer from FOMO. If anything, they have JOMO.  That is the Joy Of Missing Out. Where other signs feel a sense of pleasure at an upcoming schedule crowded with celebrations, invites, occasions, and events – Pisces prefers their calendar zen-blank. Pisces need even more space than Sagittarius – think ocean.  But other than not crowding them, how do you crack the enigma that is also the most bog-standard, low-functioning Pisces?

The real secret of Understanding Pisceans?

Get that they can go from Saint Pisces

to sensual Bon Vivant

– in about five seconds flat. They genuinely don’t feel even a nano-module of guilt over this. They see it as an asset, along with their supernatural ability to embellish nigh anything.

What, you might ask, is the difference between a Piscean and a Gemini???  Pisces is perfectly capable of acting in love/beguiled by someone as an almost a deflective shield. They are also more likely to be ruthlessly pragmatic in their personal lives while mourning the death of a spider for days.

Gemini moves on at Warp Speed when bored and is open about their intolerance for dullards. Pisces will invent a more surreal and existential reason because “being bored” feels ordinary to them. Pisces is also more likely to suddenly flip out because the Feng Shui in a restaurant is not right.

Sounds about right to me! AKA.. The Blue Fish (Pisces) 🐟

I only have one Piscean friend and I don’t know if she is stereotypical but she is: – warm and lively, centre of a party, quick to laugh, fun and funny – when she’s ‘good’, extremely generous and thoughtful and very open – a spendaholic – unable to concentrate on one thing for more than two minutes – the messiest adult I’ve ever met – like a teenager – very fast to go from good to a swearing, foot-stamping, decorum-inappropriate tantrum, like a toddler (she’s 56) over something inappropriate (eg I like striped curtains, she doesn’t) – very prone to… Read more »

Aww I miss taurean alchemist. And scorpy bot. MAybe I just don’t check in as often as I should/used to.

Mr Sagitarious man

I will figure out a pisces soon. I LIKE challenges and I am very good on getting my “challenge” done!!!!!..LOL

P

Having 3 planets in the 12th (almost 4), I thought I could figure someone out (a quadruple Pisces who makes K. Cobain seem like Mary Poppins). It’s beyond an enigma wrapped in a riddle…then again sometimes I can figure him out and sometimes I can’t. It’s been puzzling for me going on about 4 yrs. now. Still, there’s just some special quality there that I see…

if you relate pisceans to actual fish, maybe this would help? e.g. fish are pleasant to watch. there are many different species. just lie down on a nice day by the water and watch the fishies come and go…see what they do, how they interact. you can’t jump amongst them and grab one to see how it works, ’cause they scatter and disappear. if you use a hook to catch one, let it go quickly or it will die out if it is of its natural environment for too long. over the years, you learn what tides brings them in… Read more »

OMG I love this! I am a sun Pisces and I only fit in when I stop trying to be what I think every one wants me to be. I also found real love, with someone who worked out that it was easy to attract me, but the only way to keep me was to love me for being me, not tame me or cage me. The ‘actual fish’ analogy is brilliant!

fessed up to discover her bday was last week & party is this coming w.end. celebrating her ’30 years of dance’ (i.e being party girl / socialite) – asked if my outfits ready………dug self in deep offering to reprise Roller Girl – not seen since famous makeup artists 30th PlayBoy Bunny party. being devoid of tits n hips took pornstar in another direction or something. ended up doing splits flat up the wall in skates. all that ballet training never wore off or something…….better check if venue’s skate friendly……

You’re much bigger and braver than me RLF, I’m hiding for at least a week till I face the music. This piscean does “high dudgeon” with flair and gusto!!

I’m probably in deep poo with a piscean friend. I was supposed to go to her party and opted to spend weekend with my brothers family. Love my nieces and one’s just returned from os. I chose what I wanted to do rather than what I should do which is rare for me. It was worth the angst. Went to a wonderful Tuscan feast at local winery among other things.

So my mind is a paddock of zen like calm pre-exam had a look and I’ve got Saturn Pisces 16°06’59 in house 10 retrograde I have bugger all idea what this means…so anyone with a perverse sense of astro fiendness is welcome to weigh in…time and distraction from boredom allowing.

Leonine Librarian

Actually this moving on from friends, when lifestyles and attitudes don’t suit, was discussed at the beginning of friendship with an Aries friend. Although we both can be as loyal as all get out, maybe it’s our age, (early 40’s) but we both agreed that sometimes without rancor it’s just time to move on from some friendships. I’ve pisces doing something somewhere in my chart, but need to go to exam, damn it. Much rather blather on here.

Pisces in CQ – Great description of Pisces. I too find I have eclectic taste in friends – so get the party scenarios. My Taurus sun sister pointed it out to me years ago, says I have always had polar opposites as friends starting in childhood. I just love them all. And I too shed friends, lifestyles and move on in evolution. Pisces ascendant conj Saturn with first house Chiron in Pisces too.

Pisces in CQ

Well, not much comment here from many pisces but I agree with the few comments from pisces that have been posted, and laughed out loud at the pitures of our saint/sinner side. I have been told a few times now by various people that they just can’t “get” me. Just when they think they’ve nutted me out, I do something that completely stuffs their interpretation of who/what I am. On the one hand I enjoy the elusiveness, on the other hand I wish I could be more continuous in who/what I am. I seem to discard a whole way of… Read more »

Thanks for this Pisces in CQ…this helped explain some of stuff that flows from my Spazzy Aqua’s pisces moon.

I found having a dinner party with a pisces friend and an aries and leo…had the pisces being accepting of them and they were absolutely baffled in what I saw in the pisces…which actually now I think about it…. their inability to stretch beyond their own mode of communication and thought is probably why I don’t seek them out anymore.

scorpalicious robot

interesting about Pisceans being many people. They are the 12th sign and have been through the life stages of the other 11 signs. I find them the hardest sign to pick or guess. I can pick a Virgo from a mile off but it’s probably because of my mars in Virgo.

Fishgirl

Yes. Yes. Yes. I get you, Pisces in CQ. to add to your a, b, and c (which i agree with all), i would say – after a day spent ‘talking’ with a friend yesterday, it also seems a waste of time, too. You make things real by talking about them. Sometimes you just don’t want to focus on that right now – or you’d rather not make this ‘problem’ ‘real’. Whenever i want to avoid the banal mind-crushingly dull chitchat of the everyday world i only ever get solace in other pisceans (or fish moons). Saggitarians have a fun… Read more »

Thanks for your support gang!

So nice to be at a point in my life where (a) i don’t feel obliged to engage in the passive-aggressive crap that my family carry on with, and (b) i’m comfortable enough in my own skin to leave a situation where I’m being treated poorly (instead of wondering if there’s something wrong with me!).

Woke up feeling relaxed & refreshed and since I had already arranged to have today off work, I’m going to take myself out for breakfast and then off for a swim. Delightful 🙂

taurean alchemist

yay TT! A taurean needs her own turf anyway, and let the Piscean deal with her own guilting/crapola – not your responsibility :)… very formidable night-charging-bull!!

Quick update – solved the fishy sister problem by walking out at 9.30pm and driving back to the ACT. Had lovely dinner out with fab friends then came back to the sister’s house only to be asked when I was leaving and had I noticed the damage a towel of mine had done to a railing of hers (oh puh-lease!!!!). After five days of barely being spoken to, it was the last straw. I packed my things and drove home. The fishy sister of course did her ‘woe is me’ act (apparently her life is sooo much harder than everyone… Read more »

I’m glad you took the pro-active solution. I think there really is a point where it’s best to just cut and run. From what you had described bloodshed could of been the next logical choice. To not engage in sibling shennigans is truly a test of maturity I feel.

nat

Nice work TT. Very grown up that you chose to move away calmly & also detached from the argument, which no doubt would have fed the situation and turned it into something else. Good for you!

I saw the top pic as saint but also martyr and fuq, have I seen the martyr played to Oscar winning perfection by one or two pisceans and peeps with piscean moons.

scorpalicious robot

oh yes. My mum is an Oscar winning Piscean. Definitely not a role model for me when i was growing up.

Oh, on second look @ the pix, it appears an arrow is in his side. If he’s a Saint, I beg his pardon..

Hi RLP – my take would be – sudden changes in appearance / reputation?
Sudden healing flashes?
But must also be careful around electrical objects. My sister had Uranus zing right smack bang on her pisces rising last year and she pulled out a clump of hair whilst beating eggs – vow to be careful whilst operating electrical (Uranian) objects close to your appearance (head)….

Piceans are also likely to drown you with tears where as gemini its a long winded tirade.

Its even better when someone has both a strong Gemini and Piscean signatures. An Ex of mine (and still good friend) has this and either came out with ethereal wisdom or utter psycho-babble.

Always entertaining to have around though.

orangeblossom

I concur Cat S – gemini rising and pisces MC – aqua likes to watch me spin – I’ve come to realise when it’s happening by the funny little smile on his face and when I say “WHAT” his reply is “it’s love”.

Oh Geesh,

My previous post about hanging up on the ex beau and ending it because “He’s Just Not that Into You”…on the “DarK of the Moon” thread,

Pegasus: re your quip: i often use it (sooooo evocative) and am usually greeted with an incomprehending look that says, ‘you are soooooooo eccentric’ and i just think to myself ‘your education is soooooooooo lacking, how sad!’

A Piscian friend & soulmate, just re-entered my life at a time he was super needed. Was on http://www.stuartwildeblog.com (Stuart wants it passed on as he has important info for all) and called the Piscian who is a follower his stuff to say it has been put to you tube. taurean with the HMBOTS

IMHO, typos are just a sign of a fast thought process, LOL!

but yes, they certainly keep one guessing though they are often an exercise in total frustration sometines for their complete lack of logic in arguing though even that becomes strangely ……..what? endearing?

taurean with the HMBOTS

PS: what’s a non-rugger stud (a press stud :D? )

Leonine Librarian

I think the non rugger stud was making sure he/she was not mixed up with Mystic’s rugger stud…maybe?

taurean with the HMBOTS

TKS, LL, i[‘m sure you are right, sort of very intriguing though, i like the image!

Leonine Librarian

Sorry Taurean with the HMBOTS sometimes what wit I have escapes me…although today I think it’s still crawling from some primeval ooze.

I’m with you. As an aquarian leo I guess I can expect to be a fiar way from being a bull… and I assure you that the hard and detached/ sensative and compassionate – yes, suprisingly frequently in the same conversation/ issue/ argument/ celebration – is MINDBOGGLING to me!!

It’s certainly not just the bull that does not get the fish 🙂 Then again, I think i admire him a little for his way of keeping me guessing…

taurean with the HMBOTS

mystic:

do you mean embellish as in embroider, exaggerate (or just plain lie 😉 ) or do you mean decorate? can pisceans be strangely hard and detached as well as sensitive and compassionate (sometimes at the same time, LOL!) very weird. maybe the bull does not quite ‘get’ the fish. what do peeps reckon?

Typical Taurus

I’m with you on this T-HMBOTS!!! This little bull does not ‘get’ the fishy folk. My sister is a Pisces and I’ve been staying with her since Wednesday. In that time she hasn’t said more than 10 words to me. I’m almost 100% certain that I haven’t done anything specific to piss her off, but I’m getting might tired of sitting in silence for hours on end (with the only words being ‘don’t put your wine glass on the rug’). Multiple Pisces

Such apt pictures! Drinking pals comment on my swift change in posture with the first sip of wine. 0 to Mollusc in 5 seconds flat.

Pisces Goat

Yes, LOVE the pictures! I have been on stringent detoxes for weeks, to break them with 20 drinks in the one night. And, in the past not now, felt fine the next morning.

orangeblossom

Another question – pisces midheaven – how does this effect / affect? – haha I know there are grammar queens out there – I went to a school that ditched grammar and did some other wacky 70s thing and didn’t learn even what a noun was until French class age 13 – thus having to learn the intricacies of my own language at the same time as another – please forgive me grammar queens I know not what I do.

And does angle of midheaven have a bearing on it too? if at all…

Blossom

Sorry, OB, this particular one is a pet hate of mine – should be in other thread! In the spirit of friendship and support, you understand, I offer this help:
you effect a change
the change affects you
said change can have side effects
you affect not to care about them
the change is effective
you respond with affection

orangeblossom

thanks – really – have never known what to do about that one – hence disclaimer. I knew it would make someone itchy. Taken in the spirit intended x

Typical Taurus

Orangeblossom, in response to your query on an earlier post….my avatar is the Floating Figure by Gaston Lachaise.

She lives in the National Gallery sculpture garden and represents many of the things that I aspire to be: beautifully rubenesque, elegantly strong, peacefully commanding.

orangeblossom

I thought so – re the sculpture garden went there when we went to see v westwood – I have a messed up polaroid of her – mashed it all around while it was still setting because I thought it suited her lines – she is such a gorgeous undulating shape. nice avatar

taurean alchemist

yes, orangeblossom, I have the Midheaven at 23 Pisces, so am currently enjoying a very erratic public image, not to mention the myriad of changes in my domestic sphere on acount of the oppostion to IC/fourth house (where I also have a whole heap of planets) I think I get Pisces… we must not try to fathom their depths, try to enjoy the shallows as much as possible and be supportive (well, I am a taurean after all and earth supports water) when things go belly-up (as only they can for a fish). Typical Taurus – I have a Pisces… Read more »

taurean alchemist

ps. I think a major key to understanding the fish-people is recognising that they feel a lot of guilt, which can often turn to anger or frustration or even just shut them down so they feel nothing… I try to remember Pisces are here to teach us compassion and sometimes that means they give us supreme examples of being in need of it… just as a taurean often requires the homeopathic cure for stubborness – more stubborness.

taurean with the HMBOTS

that’s a good insight, i shall ask my piscean about the guilt thing and i prefer to interpret the stubborness as grit, determination and stickability, sounds more worthy and much less irritating,

don’t mess with my stuff though!!! LMAO

Typical Taurus

I never thought I’d say this….but I’m actually looking forward to going back to the ACT tomorrow!

Leonine Librarian

I find fish people interesting, but I wouldn’t find it easy to stay with one…as I find the fluid turns from fully hugely engaged to, stay the fuq away from me, my thoughts, my being, disconcerting.

‘Tis also why I find Gem’s fascinating but confusing too.Liked how Mystic linked get highlighted these sign’s different styles.

Typical Taurus I imagine that is a unique position to find yourself in.

Leonine Librarian

that would be a yet instead of get…more argh.

orangeblossom

is it your public image that is erratic or the people who are interpreting it that way? Midheaven is what you put out there or what other people see when they look there? How you are perceived by others? Surely that’s mroe about them than you? or am I mssing the point… I too have IC/4th house stuff going on – interesting.

taurean alchemist

that’s a good point orangeblossom…or is it gemini rising that causes us to question it ?? 😉 I surely don’t FEEL erratic, so maybe it is about others’ ideas of me… are you finding that you want to finally go in the direction you’ve always wanted to but never found the courage or didn’t allow yourself the vision of it happening?? I think I am slowly but surely turning into the person I always have been, but was disconnected from. does that make any sense??
