Pluto Uranus Squared

Filed in Uranus, Pluto

Science Fiction Quarterly Vol. 1, No. 2 (Nov., 1952). Cover Art by Milton Luros

 Dear Mystic,

You’ve covered this Pluto-Uranus squared business magnificently.

As this era draws to a close, I’m reflecting, and very curious:

– As the spawn of this era come of age, are we to expect a legion of rebels, iconoclasts, radically authentic peeps, hell raisers? What sort of people might you expect the square to deliver into the world?

– Beyond this global Zap Zone period, how might a square between one person’s Uranus and another person’s Pluto play out, in terms of synastry? Might these two people stir each other up, like a little mini private endless zap zone? For pleasure, or for pain, depending on their level of Awesome?

Sincerely, Cap von Zapped 🙂 x

Dear Cap von Zapped,

Thank you!  You know, the last exact hit of Uranus square Pluto aka the Zap Zone is in mid-March but then they linger in orb of one another until early 2016.  So anticipate a long half-life or whatever we call it.  If you have not read the Zap Zone Grand Finale Cheat Sheet – please do!

AND for a good time, assess how much things, you, relationships, attitude – the Everything has monumentally shifted since mid-2012. It is definitely worth reflecting on your psyche pre and (soon) post-Zap Zone.

The Zap Zone got super intense last Feb to April – because of involvement from Mars and then had another ping in December but the final exact hit in March is the most hot and helpfully accompanied by a couple of Eclipses.

NOW – the spawn of this era? As you say, they will be agitators, boss peeps, idealists and revolutionaries.  FYI the last Uranus Pluto square (As opposed to the mid-Sixties conjunction) was between Uranus in Aries and Pluto in Cancer/Kataka from 1933 to 1934 – that was the Joan Rivers, Yoko Ono, (ahem) Roman Polanski, Susan Sontag, Joe Orton, Brigitte Bardot, Carl Sagan, Leonard Cohen, Judi Dench generation.

I think you could argue they were the pre-Boomer Beat people, individualists and rebels just waiting to ripen with the conjunction in the Sixties.

I think Uranus Pluto squares don’t play out that much in synastry – these planets move so slow, they tend to reflect more tension between generations or sub-generations. If you throw in a cardinal square involving the personal planets – eg; your Venus square their Pluto or Uranus and WHAM – instant catalyst chemistry-attraction-repulsion-evolution super Qi Spiking Serum Amphetamine.

Thoughts?

my boyfriend has a pluto-uranus conjunction that tightly squares my venus/uranus conj & the last line in totally apt! scary-electric. never a dull moment.

That’s interesting, are you social as a couple? Do you find it easy to make others comfortable? Does electric mean exciting or difficult at times too?

I will end the Zap Zone with having the titanium rods & screws taken out of my ankle that Dawn of The Zap Zone gave me. (Forward) March! Ah, the Zap Zone has given me so much… and let’s not forget the gifts of Saturn in Scorpio. Like the opportunity to obliterate my student loan debt: biggest, most welcomed laxative ever. *sigh* My son (cap sun/gem moon/kataka asc) has been at such an impressionable age during the ZZ. He’s nine now. He was a first-grader when all the little first-graders at Sandy Hook were attacked; Pluto at 25* Sagg. The… Read more »

Titanium! Bionic Ankhy!

Yes these kids will be resilient and tempered by drastic change. Tough but maybe better than growing up in a golden era of prosperity and having a sense of entitlement (hello boomers)

Aw yeah!! That’s fabulous news! To your health! *clink* And I love that you still are seeing the silver lining to Saturn in Scorpio, that is a big deal. (I am not sure I have digested it yet but I am very glad it’s off my Moon – however it’s still in my 6th House & showing casing my weaknesses there). And so true re the kids, I wonder about the amount of fear that is generated and how they deal with that. How much I am meant to protect them and how much is an inspiring amount of ..… Read more »

Looking back on 2012 the evolve our your fuqed process took weeks or months and now it takes hours. Back then I would reach out to healers, do loads of meditation in order to break through whatever was holding me back and the change process was back and forth. Just yesterday i was having a mini crisis about my work – shouldn’t i be more passionate sort of stuff. 1 hour later I was listening to a speaker and he said – you need to accept that you will be seen, theres no door you can close after work, you… Read more »

I concur. I complete the stages of grief in two days. One can only roll in the deep for so long. Every loss, mourned, bargained with, cried over, accepted.
Denials take the shortest.

I’m no less reactionary, but I’m efficiently so now.

I’m super excited about this generation of ZZ people. It’s my personal opinion that those born with these aspects will create bigger changes than the events caused in that time. After all, it’s people who change things, right?

Of course, there will be some shit heads in the mix, but that’s life, right?

pi
pi

here’s a good one for the generation morph… Bashar Al-Assad was born sun conjunct pluto & uranus in Virgo. (11/09/65)
Chiron in pisces is currently opposite all that, and amongst his natal Pisces stellium of moon-chiron (conjunct) & saturn.

He may have much preferred to stick with dentistry…

I wonder how much of the action involves his 4th house or IC ? or those kinds of harder-to-establish chart details, given his family-based political inheritances. “power thrust upon him” (midheaven?)
anyway maybe this is not the forum

Each of the ZZ direct hits have resulted in massive career changes ie sacked/laid off resulting in me going back to study and crystallise own business plans with my twin as partner The forced changes were all going on in my 2-8 th house axis and self esteem and self sufficiency being the lessons in my intimate relationships – lots of change there! I am on the path to a happier and more creative career with me in the drivers seat and a razed paddock of a lovelife with just a few burning embers left – now just need the… Read more »

Im going to miss the zap zone. I used to dislike change and over the zap zone period being forced to evolve or evaporate has helped me so much. I have evolved so much beyond words. Life is good kw ish my health could be better. Im in a rut my body wont help me at all. It just wont change or respond to anything Its a big step accepting that i have gluten intolerance…its so f-ing unfair! But hey ho what can i do…people have worse things. Career is looking good but my health concerns bring me down socially…its… Read more »

Gluten is just ick hon. It’s like sugar. Poison for your body. You’re better off without it. Hard as it might seem. The rest of the world will catch up with you at some point. For the moment just nourish yourself. X

akapluto
akapluto

I’m in the same boat- realizing my body is, like, everything intolerant. But fuck it- just own it. I was off sugar and gluten for a long while before I went on vacation and said fuq it. I got sick IMMEDIATELY and was having weird mood issues, too. Not worth it. So I can’t eat pizza with y’all but would you really like it better if I was just sickly and blah? Methinks not.

Invicta
Invicta

Sometimes we have to revisit places, esp to do with food or relationship intolerances to realise we’re really not missing anything. Pizza always smells way better than it tastes (to me) When I lived in a small village in the far far north of Itally I had to constantly explain that I didn’t eat bread or pasta to people and they would seriously get offended. Like “who does she think she is?” Everyone is supposed to eat what’s put in front of them in the villages of Northern Italy. I think standing my ground in that environment made me kind… Read more »

You probably already know this, but quinoa allergy is starting to be a thing. It is because quinoa is naturally coated with a saponin that is a bug repellant. Most people do not wash quinoa before cooking it and are therefore eating the bug killer which causes havoc in the human digestive system.

sphinx

Omg, I wash my rice at least 5 times before cooking it, I freak out that people don’t do that.
That’s interesting prince lovely re the saponin. I have been toying with some quinoa I think I will lightly soak in salty water first.. then wash.

Oh my Cap Moon is running the show in this final showdown. Absolutely no time for Qi drainers, it keeps giving marching orders. I’ve survived so far, surely two more months will be OK.

Mini rebels post ZZ? Yes, they are growing up. As mythology tells me, it is time to make sure the cubs learn how to express their energy without hurting themselves // And this is my chiron in the (intercepted) 1st house.

😯 Speaking of that era Pi, I’ve also noticed economists talking about the late 60’s – mid 70’s & the similarities of the economy then to the present day. It’s interesting to think about this in regards to oil, as the first oil crisis was in 1973 with the oil embargo, followed by the 1979 crisis that occurred in the US & proceeded the decline of the price oil for the next 20 or so years. So that’s roughly a whole generation of oil shocks & glut. There are predictions now that the middle east are trying to stave off… Read more »

It’s so interesting. I have a book I am flipping thru called ” the seventies unplugged” which talked about the cultural economic & social shifts that were happening there following from the 60s. Obvs not the only book written about the subject but I love reading about the (dis)continuities and alll the things

Totally. The geographi alpha distance and the inherent unworkable circumstances of my deep, dark, beautiful crush are things I’m almost grateful for. Neither of us would get anything done if it were a “real relationship” so molten is the lava of our carnivorous desire for one another…. It’s weird because it’s just wrong on so many levels. I know it. He knows it. We’ve never pretended otherwise. There is a weight I feel “hi Saturn, yo Chiron s’up bro?” I have my “don’t be sad its over, be glad it happened at all” speech steady prepared for when he tells… Read more »

But do you think Saturn and Chiron are really bros?

Adult education was a strange thing for me. On the one hand I am utterly grateful for it and understand the gravitas of the undertaking. On the other hand, I was such a whizz at learning when I was young that it is a much more difficult as an older adult to be dedicated to sitting and studying for so long.

Same. This past weekend everybody was all talking up mars-venus conjunct transit, which resulted in NOTHING for me. i deliberately made myself go out and mingle and extroverted crap i despise doing. ugh. I swear I don’t know how to do these mars and venus transits worth a damn or I am just immune to them!!!

So outer planet transits… you are my only hope!

Invicta
Invicta

@Prince Are you doing the Princess Lea voice when you say “help us Outer Planets, you are our only hope.” ?
Because I could have sworn I read Obi One and did a double take when I read that…. Yeah. I know what you mean about Mars & Venus transit and sexpectation. At least you bothered to go out. X

Yes…imagine me as a large chubby owl with long legs and double cinnamon bun hair-do!

“Outer planet transits, you are my only hope!”

yeah i didn’t want to be you know that annoying whiner who is always like…nobody likes me…i can’t meet anyone and the reason is that they stay at home and never leave. Of course you are alone. No one short of the Kool-aid man or pizza delivery man can find you. At least when i whine it’ll be legit.

Lol PS I’m also tres disappointed. Hot mars Venus conjunction Mystic said. Drought breaker around the 20th horoscopes kept saying. King of cups, wands, pages with messages of love and soulmates the Tarot keeps saying (for months actually) ….. Still waiting 🙁
I did go out twice on the weekend to a friend”s gig and White Night. Not even the slightest flirtation. And believe me I was looking!

akapluto

Ditto. I got re-dumped that weekend. Maybe a conjunction in war-like Aries isn’t so warm and cuddly after all.

I actually know three other people who got dumped/did some dumping that weekend, too.
