Dating The Zodiac: Pisces

Pisces and dating

God, I really wanted to illustrate this with an image of Piscean Robin Thicke. Who, let us not forget, was skeevy way before Blurred Lines. But I thought it might sway the discussion into non-objective realms.

So anyway, Pisces and dating… my first ever boyfriend was Piscean. He looked like a Maori James Dean but he was a Slippery Person. Mutable in that he would basically mutate into whatever he thought would help him score whatever he wanted that moment.

Pisces (a slippery one) key tactics:

  • seductive charm
  • mendacity and
  • evasion.

He also had that bizarre Neptunian/Pisces ability to suddenly let rip with a stunning, surreal bit of information or a confession but with a deadpan delivery. And then, obviously, change the subject. Pisceans like their conversations multi-layered with nuance upon nuance.

Remember my theory that Neptune is not a planet but that it is actually a drug?  Well, Pisceans are ON IT. Or addicted to freedom, as Lady L points out below.

As Pisces Fairy commented… ‘I’m a Pisces with Libra ascendent and Scorpio moon. On top of this I also have Pluto conjunct my ascendent so I find that my Scorp vibes gain a lot of admirers from afar that find me intimidating to approach. Once people are in they are truly “in” though I let down my Scorp walls and they get to see the little fish and I get to see them as well as they trust me due to haute Scorpness.

The person I’m dating describes me as his “little kite” because to him I’d float up if he wasn’t holding on to the string. He’s probably right.’

Sphinx says, ‘Neptune people are beguiling. Even reading the comments written by Pisceans about Pisceans themselves I love! So self aware when haute. I find that Piscean is energy is often really soothing and mollifies my laser focused Scorpio Moon.’

Loved reading through all these comments. Always thought I was flighty, but the slippery as a fish comments were right on track. Feb 27, Elizabeth Taylor booze hound here. Lucky I hooked a normal Libra to balance me out 16 years ago.

Well this is timely. Pretty sure the last dating the zodiac Capricorn, saw me no longer seeing the Capricorn. Now it’s the Pisces turn.
Not a positive review. Anger issues, alcoholic, abusive and potential cheater. Pushes everyone that cares about them away by exhausting you. Taking advantage of your nature and bleeding you dry.
I’d like to think that MM’s reading of my chart is still in motion and I do get marry in June. MM your assessment in the weekend daily was spooky brilliance.

I have to ask … I noticed a comment or 2 (and have also experienced myself albeit from March Pisces themselves) that March Pisces are SO different to Feb ones and that, generally, the March one’s aren’t as shady.. so yeah I’m a Feb one… thoughts? Maybe they’re correct?

I’m a pisces rising/jupiter with moon sq. neptune & 12th house sun/mercury — I would never ever date a piscean-type! Nothing would ever get done. I exist in a fog 95% of the time, unless my aries moon/mars needs to sear some shizz. Need a haute virgo with some fire to keep me streamlined.

I’m really really digging the comments. I’ve had a very nebulous and absent relationship with a family member who is also Pisces. This helps me understand the Piscean energy better, and also the difficult situation that exists between us.

Not all Pisceans are addicts… Have never used drugs. I don’t even drink alcohol – it makes me feel ill. No wait, I’m addicted to freedom!! (Sagg Moon inconjunct Neptune, both SQUARING my Sun conjunct Mercury in Pisces). I don’t like routine, rollercoasters or smoking. It’s true that we’re evasive. It’s a survival skill to cope in this world. High school boyfriend was Pisces Sun – he was a sweetheart although a bit clingy towards the end. No dating of any subsequent Pisceans. I often find fellow Pisces women incredibly irritating, and now I wonder if it’s not perhaps something… Read more »

Simple just-the-sunsign Pisces don’t seem remarkable to me – all very much depends on other key players in their charts. But the only man i was really, really, really, really in love with had, let me see: Sun, Moon, Ascendant, Mercury, Ceres, Vesta, Juno and South Node in Pisces. +Neptune right on his midheaven. Extremely sensitive, kind and soft, 90% of poems he has sent me are super-elegic, making love was almost like a religious ceremony (and it has been a case of sexual dependency on both sides), he never committed, but it’s as if he is still in love,… Read more »

If the guy is an artist, be careful to be overshadowed by Pisces. Nobody wants to be Tracy Marander. Nobody wants to be Paula Patton, either, I wanna be Girl Mike Patton and bring on the Awesome! Oh but when they eat your heart with their weird magical stuff laced with vulnerability. And the slay. The one I know slays so much. I’m a Virgo Asc obviously with a Pisces Descendant. Ahhh Pisces. About 70% of the men I have dated have been the fishies. I dont know what it is about the Toro/Fish attraction, but I cant run from it! First bf in high school: Pisces. College bf: Pisces. Ex Husband: Pisces. the last 4 dates: Pisces. I dont intend for this to happen, but obviously there is something I need to learn from this sign or some amazing attraction. I do find haute pisces men to be great conversationalists, funny dry humor, kinda dreamy, pass-agg, a bit unorganized and romantics. Way more sensitive than other signs I have dated… Read more »

I was the same except with Caps and Gem’s. If they were another sign, they would have their Mars/Venus/Eros/Psyche in Gem. I am ejecting both of the latter from life, I am done with their vibes but I remain loyal to the fish. The females are cool, but I love the men. They’re fun neurotic, not harmful. And they love them some spicy, sexy ladies so we make a great concoction. Taurus/Water – we can either be the perfect planet Earth or thick mud and thankfully it’s usually the former ;D

Pisceans (I.e. me lol) love toros (generally) for their calm loyal/steady thing and the soothing pragmatism also the food and the sex.

One thing I noticed – no drug users in my fish crowd – but a lot of offspring of alcoholics. Def a few womanizers. I tend to not get along with the Pisces gals as much and the men.

I am a multi-Pisces 7th house also with Chiron and Psyche in Pisces in the 8th. I have only been with one Pisces man, he was my work experience supervisor when I was in high school. At the time he spun me a beautiful web of illusion and I remained ‘in love’ with him for years. Fast forward three decades and he is in jail for indecent dealing, offences committed in recent times. That’s so interesting chrysalis, I have neptune on my mercury right now and I am either being contacted by nebulous illusional folk or finding it hard to be clear myself. Neptune is making all us fish-folk super slippery at the mo!
But also in touch with a higher realm, hopefully. Closer to it, or something.

One good thing about being a pisces is that you always see the highest and the lowest of the world at the same time. Not everyone can do that. Use it for your art!

Chrysalis
Chrysalis

Totally get this, Fishgirl, I have Merc-Saturn-Sun conjunct, communication on all levels is bizarre to say the least. Normally I am super clear (Mars in Virgo and Cap moon) but these days am all over the place because I can genuinely see all options as being possible.
The incoming from other dimensions is also off the scale.

Question – I know Pisces themselves can have issues with addiction, but can a Pisces be an addiction for other signs? I know mine inspires a devotion I didn’t know I was capable of and sometimes scares/excites me. I noticed others had similar comments. Any thoughts?

Know for me, my Pisces ex’s Pluto was highly magnetic. Trine my Venus in Toro. I could just never resist and hated myself for it. Due to circumstances that were not good for me, I ended up hating myself for not resisting. A tarot lady said “you simply have not gotten angry enough”.. Later on, she was right. But not to sound negative, as all cases are not the same, like 12th said above, mine also had Sun opposite Pluto…there was a power element going on. Also, Leo Moon conjunct Leo Mars…opposite Saturn…Guess who he took his low self esteem… Read more »

A relationship with a pisces is the bane of my existence ATM, but it is not my relationship. One of my besties is dating my piscean brother-in-law and it’s all too close for comfort business. BIL is an interesting person but I have been around him way too long at this point. I don’t know his chart but have been thinking about asking my MIL for his deets so I can check it out. I would simply set a boundary that he cannot come over and see you and your family unless he is sober. End of story… My son in law is a Pisces but with Leo Moon and Saturn conjunct in 1st (Leo rising), his “karaoke” self only comes out when he is drinking…and that is rare….Not that he does not have a beer here and there, or glass of wine, but he usually only sang when I had been drinking also…funny for us, not for the others who had been around us… Now with a child, forget about anything of that… Read more »

yes, and can I add to Sweetpea’s advice this declaration for an energetic boundary:

“I will only accept people into my space who are willing to take responsibility for their own stability.”

It’s my new mantra and it’s working a treat. I set it to keep me and our kids out of any Xmas breakdown shenanigans which are a tradition for my ex, but it seems to be working with everybody….including my mother, lol!

I’ve recently realised how much I value simplicity over complicated (or toxic) “situations” – could be my Taurus Moon?

Good luck 🙂

Fauness

That is the new rule, only sober BIL at our house. He has never taken it that far, but a firmer boundary needs to be set. It’s awful to see him destroy himself like that, especially after my own brother’s substance issues. Thx for the supportive comments.

Ok since I’ve been seeing a Pisces the last 10 years on and off since we met .. more so the last 2 year it has been more of a steady thing , as long as he has his space yes , think of them on the terms of being a fish ruled by the moon and tides . The only ex-boyfriend I stay in touch with, and we’ve known each other for 22 years now, is a Pisces. His Sun conjuncts my Moon in Pisces by 2 degrees. He is a poster-child for a Piscean. hahaha, that was hilarious. I totally do that deadpan delivery of something super serious and make it like a joke and then move on quickly. I feel like I do it because there is certain info people wouldn’t be able to handle or that I wouldn’t want people to know about, but hiding secrets makes it feel like it could be found out, so the best thing to do is let people know about it but set it up so they forget about it. also the fun thing about it is telling the truth so deadpan usually gets people unsure you’re telling the truth, then you just get extra dodgy and sloppy and it seems like your just full of shit but they can’t tell, then they don’t really know and think you are lying and it was too weird to be true or to weird a situation, so technically your telling the whole complete truth, but if its incongruent enough with the situation it totally works to your advantage

ya my friends who know me well usually catch it and immediately smile about it and its whatever and we just talk about stuff, I feel like cancer and scorp can hide stuff a certain way but pisces will have to resort to subterfuge, I’m sorry that didn’t work out with you as far as being with that guy though

I love saying shit that shocks people . I find Aquarians share my delight in conversational bombing .. But for me deadpan delivery is a great way to check if people are listening and if they can keep up with my multi faceted personality . I don’t have time for people who can’t be mentally nimble or at least appreciate it . The worst is taureans or Mercury in Taurus . They lose it or think I am trying to fuq with them ..

lol. My oldest friend (aqua moon) does the same in mixing up truth and fiction in deadpan delivery for his own amusement – or to see if people are really listening or to gauge their gullibility. When they’re not sure, they turn to me (only person, to know whether he’s fibbing or not) and ask if it’s a “Frank Fact” (Frank being his name) or the truth.

My lovely, kind, gentle partner is a triple Pisces with ‘no Earth at all’ as he is fond of saying – I am Cap with a lot of Aquarius, Libra and Virgo. He is a very creative, slippery fish who does smell delightful (someone else mentioned that) and is a lot of fun. If you are not on the drug Neptune it can be hard to imagine what the fuq might be going on. It’s a nice drug to be on but it causes TROUBLE if not integrated maturely and balanced with awareness. Like many drugs it can make a person hopelessly selfish. Perhaps self-indulgent is more accurate. Even the empathy part of Pisces quickly becomes a self-indulgence, because knowing people on the deepest level feels like the sweetest of druggy dreams and it’s just another comfort zone. The Pisces in my life is a storyteller for sure – his work transcends all sorts of genres and realities. He’s created a universe that I found myself drawn into. I think he’s maybe the best storyteller I’ve never known. Inspired and brilliant, but secretive – and seductive for sure. My friend always talks about how bright blue his eyes are, but I’ve never seen them that way. I see his eyes as very dark, like the bottom of the ocean. And to be honest, I wouldn’t mind diving and living under those waves, like a modern-day mermaid.

Pisces are the one sign I can never figure out. And dating wise they make me want to pull out my hair. They are nice charming people, that I always want to engage with. But they always leave me hanging. I totally agree with the thought that Neptune is a drug they are on. Almost all of the ones I have met either have or are chasing a lofty idea or expectation. My ex Piscean was very slippery…very charming. If you know the Enneagram he was a 3, and 3s can believe their own delusions and keep operating as if they are in that delusional reality which is dangerous. But — as an Enneagram 4 — I LOVE dreaming up realities even if I know it’s just a dream…and so I feel that together everything got out of hand and our relationships only REALLY existed on Neptune and not here. I am a Pisces, so is my husband. We’re like magnets: turn us the right way and we’re thick as thieves, turned wrong, we repel immediately and no amount of force will fix it. I get that we can be evasive, hippy-dippy, abstract. But part of that is being comfortable in the murky, grey waters of life, and that makes a lot of other folks-the ones who want things to be black and white-uncomfortable. Once knew me a Piscean male friend, a long, long time ago in what seems another lifetime. The stunning, surreal confession with a deadpan delivery? Yup. And then change the subject? Totally. Speaking as a Mercury in Capricorn, I always felt that his “confessions” were never meant for any practical progress in personal development, only “whatever he thought would help him score whatever he wanted that moment” as Mystic said. Made him look good. I barely have any Pisces in my chart, only Pan in Pisces in 8th House. In fact, I have so little water in my chart that… Read more »

“He also had that bizarre Neptunian/Pisces ability to suddenly let rip with a stunning, surreal bit of information or a confession but with a deadpan delivery. And then, obviously, change the subject. ” Yeah, if you are dating a Pisces, you should really listen to moment those because while the confessions may seem to slip “casually” you’ll never get them more pinned down than that. I wouldn’t want to make my Pisces experience indicative of dating the whole sign because that dude was the low-end of a Pluto-Sun opposition, but they also seem to have a hard time recognizing when… Read more »

My Pisces mate left me a longish comment on my blog years after we’d parted ways, with a false name BUT with an email address that he used waaay back when we were still friends. I’d approved the comment days earlier, thought it was just a new reader, until by sheer chance I happened to see that email address under the false name and instantly knew who it was. I tried sending an email to that address. My email bounced, so the address wasn’t even functional any more. I he wanted to be anonymous, be anonymous. If he wanted to… Read more »

Yeah, I think they like the mind game of I-can-see-you-and-you-can’t-stop-me thing where they let you know that they’re around without being around .That’s why I finally told the Pisces I was dating I was glad he was gone least he think we’re still in a relationship based on his one-way stalking. I’m sure not all Pisces are so low…but I don’t have another example.

I’m pretty sure not all Pisces are so low but unfortunately, I’ve only ever known one Pisces well and he was it.

Two of my partner’s older sisters are Pisces too, but I don’t know them well enough to comment much. One of them seems nice enough, she’s smart and funny and very loyal.

OMG – NEPTUNE IS A DRUG!

What a Revelation, MM. I’m Neptune Rising. I am totally drugs.

Pisces, Evasive, For Sure…

Aren’t you Pisces?
But like, Aqua Rising/SN + LeoNN?
Ingenious Addictive Glamour…

Mystic is, from memory, Pisces with Aqua rising, Libra moon, can’t remember venus and then mars, pluto, uranus (??) in virgo.
Wish I had Mars in Virgo, all my friends who have it are such natural clean freaks, it comes so easily to them.

If wishes were fishes as they say … Now you’ve got me though MM I went had a look at Robin Thicke pictures and I noticed a particular fish vibe that I have picked up in most Pisces men. They are slippery or maybe nebulous – that’s Neptune for you. I worked with one once who had a gambling addiction – he robbed my workplace blind, as in we were blind to it because he was very adept at sleight of hand. Charm but sadness too and well that addiction stuff is pretty hideous – we felt sorry for him… Read more »

I think fish men are all ultimately psychic but unreliable. I’ve never met one who wasn’t simultaneously hanging out on another dimension, so maybe that’s why they find it hard to plan for this one.
Maybe it’s about driving around following the green lights avoiding the google map route… no-one ever really understands it.

Neptune really IS a drug, it takes a lot of work to stay grounded when you’re born with it flowin through your veins!

belinda

Yup – neptune is conjunct my natal sun – I simply cannot stay grounded – the ‘other’ reality is so much more enticing! I have to say that I like most piscean men – except those born in the third decan ruled by pluto – I find them to be sleezy sex addicts!

Fauness

I have no Pisces in my chart, aside from my POF. I have neptune in a tight conjunction with my moon. Def like a drug. My scorp rising seems to protect me from nefarious peeps.

In my experience Piscean ex-husbands are tres` adept at sliding out of child maintenance payments. But will dole it out by the handful in person (so he gets the adulation) and on his own terms – always.

Sounds like all dubious exes regardless of sign, lol. I think their sign is called ‘ego’, lol ;P

Seabird

Yeah, this is not a Piscean trait – my aqua ex does a good job in evading paying for anything practical whilst still mamanging to purchase mobile phones and nike shoes for his daughter in the three minutes a year she sees him. Ditto my Cap dad who did the same for me – I cottoned on to his tactics at 15 and called him out on it – told him that all the one-off fancy-pants presents in thw rold wouldn’t make up for the fact that he did not give a fuck about who paid for my day-to-day expenses.… Read more »

Did a quick bit of anecdotal research among my GFs re this… it seems Earth sign men are most likely to honour their payments and water sign men are the least likely to (except v. occasionally, with a 50 buck note and only when there’s an audience)

Oh yes my ex and your ex must be twins. Always on his terms and smug along with it. Now get this my new Boss shares the same birthday as my ex . . . and obviously I am a slow learner because now my current bloke is a Pisces too . . as a Capricorn they are killing me.
I think it is happening because my Saturn is in Pisces and sextile my Cap Sun . . .maybe I am just a creature of habit??

Yes my Pisces ex was the same. It was awful having to ask for it and even worse when his new girlfriend would hand it over to me at parties. There was a time where had to ask him to refrain from taking off the lovely designer jumper/coats he bought for our daughter (which was was nice of him) when she got to my door (which was not so nice), the message being I bought you this, but it’s not yours, it’s yours when you’re at my place. He’s ok now and they are close, but it was often quite… Read more »

As far as Robin Thicke – never liked him, even pre ‘Lost Without You’. The poor man’s Jon B in my eyes. And the whole Paula shindig was just gross. Ironically, the ‘Get Her Back’ song was probably the only song I’ve ever hummed by him but that video? Yeck. Turns out it wasn’t cheating, he was on the drugs and wouldn’t get help so she kept it moving and never went back. Blurred Lines indeed…

You know, I like me some fish folks – especially the ones born in March. All the ones I’ve known well over the decades are the super duper Haute kind. I know a few of the “in eternal victim mode” too but they have a mate that deals with all their shit – they just come up for air when they need to, otherwise they retreat in their watery depths not to be heard from in months. Moon in Pisces in the 10th house, Eros/Psyche in Aquarius in the 9th House plus a five-planet Taurus. I understand when folks need… Read more »
