What Is Your Zap Zone Anthem?

Remedios Varo

Hello Mystic,

I’m a reasonably new subscriber and I’d just like to say you’re friggin damn awesome, and I will continue subscribing for eons to come. Astrology is pretty new to me but has never been so much fun and relevant, and if the comments are anything to go by you’re doing a stellar job.

I just wanted to share with you my theme song for the upcoming zap zone, or “transformanthem” as I call it. I’ve loved Faith No More since the 90’s and recently realised their song Last Cup of Sorrow is a perfect fit for the crazy bonanza of the Pluto square Uranus transit. And if I’m not mistaken singer Mike Patton is literally a walking singing zap zone.

When I listen to it I can imagine Pluto creepily whispering the verses in my ear, and Uranus blasting the chorus right into my face! It’s actually quite motivating funnily enough, and I’m now looking forward to forging ahead over the next few months.

I think everyone should adopt a theme song for the zap zone to push them to make any necessary changes and eject the crap. Morph or be Munted!

Love and blessings,
Anchors Away

Dear Anchors Away,

I am so happy you are enjoying your subscription and thank you for the compliments!  Yes, a transformanthem or theme song for the Zap Zone is a brilliant idea. Especially as it is going to be SO damned intense these next several months.

Uranus and Pluto are going to be within one degree of their square aspect from November 22 until April 15.   With exact hits in the December – think wildest Xmas astrologically on record – and the Grand Finale in March – another big Cardinal X like in April 2014. Snazzy.

So yes, it’s time to perfect our soundtrack. It may be corny but i quite like Alicia Keys It’s On Again from Spiderman – it works as a transformanthem, maybe it’s the referencing of Eye of The Tiger.  Also Started From The Bottom (Drake) and Bigger Than Prince – Green Velvet.

Zap Zone Trippers, what is YOUR transformanthem/Z.Z. theme song?

Music has been the most significant part of the ZZ for me. It’s impossible to pick out just a few songs! Mostly I listen to whole albums and don’t usually distinguish individual tracks. Sticking to recent music: The Swans last 2-3 albums have been so transformational and intense. Michael Gira is a wise elder visionary who’s prophesying doom if we don’t change our ways. *The Seer* is an incredible album and the cover animal has been a psychopomp in my dreams. Burial *Rival Dealer* EP xxxx <3 FKA Twigs "Video Girl" is very ZZ (the whole album is fantastic and… Read more »

I have just about an anthem for every second of my life atm. There is so much, much, much happening. The Zap Zone has literally obliterated my life. NOT ONE THING IS THE SAME. As much as literally able.. just a little less than all or I will float of the planet earth.. I have been riding the changes. So here are two Ive been using as mantras for the times:

Ah! “Know when to hold em, know when to fold ’em!” The gambler sang to me as I parked and applied mascara before my last barista shift (that I started working at in april) and I learned how to play it on guitar, a zap zone acquired skill. Never heard the cutthroat lyrics near the end: “cause every hands a winner and every hands a loser and the best that you can hope for is to die in your sleep.” Sang it with my sister last night before getting end of the line tattoos, a slightly more cheerful transformation anthem… Read more »

A Zap Zone Anthem.. hmmmm…. I think I have so many right now! Right now the top three are based on the beat of the song: Rihanna: No Place I’d Rather Be Mr. Probz: Waves So So Wrong (Not sure if this is the original artist: Am I Wrong But I am getting overly Zapped since last Friday. I don’t think it’s Mars causing the problem. Mars is in my3rd house of communication; So, flew home, lost my keys to my apartment, stayed at a nice hotel (that made it helpful), started getting sick, missed my flight home, found out… Read more »

That movie should be required viewing in a Neptune Transit Survival Guide. Perhaps the final monologue ends the chapter, “Saturn Approaches: What To Do.”

I saw Underworld touring to promote Beaucoup Fish, in NYC at the Hammerstein Ballroom back in, I’d say ’97 or ’98. It was a beautiful night. We finished up the evening at the Limelight, dancing like mad elfs at a harvest festival. All fantasies are real, dream well!!!!

Love Sia, she is fun & powerful. This made me wonder if she is a bit Zap Zone & she is actually quite mutable: Saggi Sun and Saggi Neptune, Moon conjunct Mars in Gemini.

But then NN/Venus/Uranus in Scorpio – so Saturn playing there & lots of plunging depths to her mutable lightness of being.. And Jupiter conjunct Chiron in Aries?

It stands to reason she has Mercury in Capricorn, she seems very canny.

‘no sleep til Brooklyn’ a la the Beastie Boys is my personal refrain for getting things done (as an Aries sun, finishing things is not….easy…) – it came to me when I was cross country skiing uphill on ice last winter – just realized how Aries that is. Damn, it’s hard to be a cliche. 😀 Anyway, I bought a t-shirt that says NO SLEEP TIL and has a picture of the Brooklyn bridge, which I put on whenever I need a reminder to “finish strong”. Lately I’ve been waking up with pop songs in my head. Two weeks ago… Read more »

The signs are pouring in from everywhere that all I’ve ever wanted is about in inching closer. I am ecstatic. But I’ve also come to realize I’m paralysed with fear! I have been oversleeping or under sleeping religiously, distracting myself with things so not to do the work. My mind has been whirring over a year long crush (began dreaming about him again every night after I hiatus). But in the past 12 hours the fear had moved from my sabotaging subconscious to my body. I feel the fear and anxiety coursing through my heart, stomach, arms, legs. Last night… Read more »
