Never An Exception

Carolina Rodriguez Fuenmayor

“Every positive change—every jump to a higher level of energy and awareness—involves a rite of passage. Each time to ascend to a higher rung on the ladder of personal evolution, we must go through a period of discomfort, of initiation. I have never found an exception.”
— Dan Millman

Fuq yeah.

And when we observe the cycles of astrology, these jumps or zaps tend to synch with the transits of the outer planets.

Too true. You know you’re doing the right thing, but it’s scary as you have to go through some **** first, and you wonder whether you’re on the right track, but in your guts you know you are, despite appearances to the contrary.

sweetpea

If you are all quite done now, the songs I have posted have only and ever been what was inspiring at the time.

“Planets align, it’s so rare…there’s promise in the air….” Lyrics peeps, lyrics…

And did you not notice that Hecate is about Magic? Hmmm, you missed it again.

I would post U2’s Beautiful Day but guess some of you are working on that

pi

lol

Aquagem

Anonymous you CRACK ME UP! I’m still laughing.

12th house virgo

You guys should make an alternate astro blog for trolls where you can hate freely on people. But who’d give you material?

Anonymous

No need to get your nickers in a knot, no one is “hating” here. Simply pointing out the BAD music sweetpea inflicts on us all the time.
You do so know me – I’m always Anonymous – except for when other people use my name. 🙂

Veronica

Hey, always Anonymous, you’re not that funny actually.

Anonymous

Not trying to be.

my name

oh here we go again – everyone attack an Anonymous for having an opinion. Nobody is hating here!!! Can’t someone express something without the PIAB group jumping down their throat??
Everyone having the same voice, thoughts and language is really BORING!!

And we’re ALL anonymous even when we make up a name. It’s ridiculous to take issue with someone just because they’re anon.

Even regulars here have started posted anonymously because they couldn’t be arsed typing in a name.

someone

God, then it’s worse than what I thought. So there’s a specific group which has appropriated the term PIAB? I thought we were *all* PIABs if we followed and contributed, (not to mention subscribe) to this blog. And I, for one am glad that every now and then, someone does disagree with someone’s point of view. And if the only way to do it without persecution, is through Anonymous, then fine…. otherwise, this would be in danger of becoming an anodyne sorority club.
“my name” is right – we are ALL anonymous, even when we take up a name.

12th house virgo

Right. Power to the People. Fight the Good Fight. lol

calypso

you know what’s boring? Music snobbery. I’d rather listen to a bad pop song anyday.

anon

You should hear Olivia MURDER Dylan’s ‘If not for You’.
It really isn’t for us.

And disagreeing with Dan Millman, a very erudite intelligent
successful writer of over 14 books? Publishing envy?

Signed a PIAB with excellent taste in music & literature 🙂

Anonymous

Oh Dear God! – did you have to mention that butchery? I try to forget.

sweetpea

I couldn’t disagree with Dan Millman more. Look at the world…THE DRAMA.. It’s all human made. Humanity’s ego said “I don’t need you Source”.. I mean do we really need to get lost in a flippin’ maze to understand ourselves? Think not…But at this point, that what we’re workin’ with peeps. Yeah, by the way, think less, not more…FEEL..Your reality…that’s the key and where the magic is. Going to 28 yr old Kataka (Scrop rising, Sagg Moon….Her hub Gem Sun, Libra Moon)… But they invited me to dinner last month. This morning I had read something that inspired me, it… Read more »

Yes! This morning I saw a pink cloud in a blue sky above orange leaves. It didn’t demand I notice or ask me for anything. Magic enough. 🙂

sweetpea

Oh doll, you just reminded me…as I sat there, in the parking lot, I actually saw fall leaves fall in Palm Springs..

That was SO magic…thank you for reminding me…

Olivia Newton John “Magic”..

“Bring all your dreams alive…for you”…

What the hell wrong with you babe?

I sometimes enjoy reading your rambling comments, but jeezus christ – you got the worst taste in music I ever come across.

12th house virgo

Funny. I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed reading anything you’ve written, but how would anyone know the difference, Anonymous?

leoliza

yes and yes….rite of passage, period of discomfort. I was thinking as I was falling asleep last night, “ok, so when my new grandchild is 30 I will be 84″….Ugh I am so excited to be a grandmother and to see/hold/love my new little one but yes it also brings a sense of ‘holy shit, I’m old and gonna die’

davidl

I just got a flash of Fiddler on the Roof. The song Sunrise, sunset. Though if your feeling slightly melancholic, better give it a miss. 🙂

Can anyone please explain to me HOW have we *evolved* spiritually as a species?? Please don’t tell me about some insignificant law that’s been passed in the West in the last few decades. I want to know how, as a species, (all over the planet – not just focussing on the West) are we any way superior spirituality wise, to the humans that walked the Earth thousands of years ago?

Anon

seems to me like we have devolved 🙁

davidl

It’s taken some millions of years for us to get to the point as a species of producing this document written in the late 1940s.
http://www.un.org/en/documents/udhr/index.shtml

We aren’t even close 60 years later in fulfilling it. But for the first time in known history we expressed the concepts it discusses.
Things move pretty slow down here, and on mother earths timeline of billions of years we are barely out of the trees.

Anonymous

Exactly. Which is why I think that at the pace we’re going, we’re gonna end up like one of those dead-end branches in the primate family tree.
And do the Earth a favour.

Pi

ahhh see excellent xx

Pi

discomfort is the new comfort zone. ha. ugh. :\

Anonymous

hahaha me too babe, in that case

Mystic, awesome quote from an awesome author. I have Dan Millman’s book called “The Life You Were Born to Live”. I have used this book for years as a constant source of reference. Dan’s book is a ‘guide to finding your life purpose’. Phenomenal and enlightening reading.
I’m gonna stick this quote on my fridge 😉
I have just gone through a high level of energy and awareness this week at a detox fitness camp; and it has come as the result of some never ending personal discomfort. Amazing how your life paths take you where you need to go.

davidl

Development or being more conscious was explained to me once as like a huge chain. When you reach the top of one link you have to come down a little to begin on the next one. I think it’s like an ego check.
Confusion and discomfort is the ego battling to claim the victory. It can only see up. The direction at that point though is not up but down, the next link starts below. Service.

Pi

hmm. interesting and refreshing with all the “I fell asleep on the train from Central to Blacktown and when I woke up I was a Millionaire With Everything, Here’s How You Can Do It Too” or whatever

not a lot of humility on the interwebs, but a lot of shining lights plucked from the grubby mass that is doing stuff in life. they become the headlines.

SagiTaurean

Agreed, a great reminder no doubt. But i Am having a relentless emotionally indulgent downer day (or week) and i say here: enough with the damn rites of passage and concurrent tearing at the walls. I want to catch my breath, find a real home, believe in love again. I mean 3 bloody years of this… Im going to start a neo recovery support group called PSA … Pluto survivors anonymous. JOIN ME

Dont worry drab fashion and bad hair accepted, expected and encouraged.

zinnia

I am so in! Bad hair and all. Pluto opposite my Sun is an absolute bastard. Yes it’s transformative and is sorting out my priorities, but I’ve never had so much bloody aggro from other people in all my Libra rising life. And Pluto square ascendant is coming next year *hysterical laughter*

Anonymous

Pluto square my natal venus.. Love and money fuqery all day baby. I better end up rich and coupled, hahahahahahahahahaha. I am serious maybe I will start this blog today.

fallen angel

This is interesting. Because often times that “rite of passage” or “initiation” can very much look like an undeveloped ending, like knowing you’re caught between half lives yet being absent of clear crossroads. I can only best describe it as that understanding, “I am not this, but I am not that.” In retrospect, I suspect transitions we feel distinct to us are barely even that noticeable. WE know it, and it has that quiet, maddening privacy that growth demands, away from prying eyes, indescribable and inarticulate yet making the most truth for us at the moment. During a really difficult… Read more »

FA do you recall the title of that book? it might be vital to a thing i am working on… xxx

Pegasus

Hi Pi it’s called ‘the way of transition’ by William Bridges, (embracing life’s most difficult moments), lower case in the title.
If Angel misses your request for name of book that’s it.

Pi

thanks ladies!! xx
very much

Anonymous

Touche, that’s exactly it. Thanks Pegs.

Sphinx

I am not sure I notice the discomfort at times, I always have my ‘eyes on the prize’ a la Pi. It’s one of the fortunate aspects of attention deficit disorder that I really don’t see pain as punishment or joy as reward. As much as my pattern seeking brain loves astrology and seeks ways to comprehend my reality, I also feel the motion of the Tao through the multiverse and acknowledge that the path of the Rainbow Serpent, that is focused Source energy, wends unerringly in directions I cannot predict or reasonably concern myself with intellectually. Well, I say… Read more »

Fair enough, where is yr Mercury? I am Mercury Ruled with Mercury in Cancer in grand trine to my natal Moon. Just SO many feelings… it would be unbearable if I couldn’t rise above them!

Lux interior is My Co-Pilot

I really needed this. Had my Saturn Return last night!

R(aqua/tauri)

Happy Saturn return! I feel like it’s a bigger deal than bdays ’round these parts. 😀

SagiTaurean

Congrats… Kudos… Mine completes in one month. But hey its almost like no big deal after the saturn pluto transit fuqery a couple years back, no? And this zap zone shiznet. You win!

Lux interior is My Co-Pilot

Cheers! I bought an amazing pair of shoes when it was exact…I’ve dubbed them my Saturn Return shoes…..perhaps amazing shoes appear on one’s Saturn Return? Along with the wisdom to snap them up?

Ill keep my eyes open!

I up your cliche with
…no, it’s all about the journey.

davidl

I up your cliche with
…no, it’s all about the journey.
🙂

davidl

Oops

Pi

i disagree .. to a point. To blindly ignore the wisdom and experiences that are there for the taking if we stop and reflect, then yes. but to faff along blindly without something to aim for, even if that is a tidy room and fitting into one’s short shorts again (lol), then, like me right now, you end up just staring at leaf patterns and wondering what the fuq is the point of anything. 🙂

Pi

if we *don’t* stop and reflect, that is

Anonymous

But I think that the journey itself changes you, whether you are consciously aware of it or not, or whether even if you want to or not. Law of spiritual physics, no?

pi

ok, yes i’d agree with that. but. we have to start heading somewhere to be on a journey in the first place. in order to be fuqed by the fickle finger of fate, i mean, in order to experience the crap that is later regarded with the fondness that can only come from distance and time, as “wisdom”
oh! hello! i think this is the hero’s journey thing. lol

pi

to elaborate further [for myself as much as anyone].. I don’t come up against obstacles to overcome if I am just meandering around. having a ‘goal’ [whatever that looks like for some person] is how I might begin to define or observe the challenges that I am facing. I guess that’s stating the obvious… since my goal right now is to have some kind of money, stop being such a chicken about certain aspects of my life, and sundry everything else, well… my whole current existence is the obstacle, lol

calypso

I don’t know Pi, I think non-goal-related things like being in relationship* can present obstacle enough? And really, just being oneself? and for a lot of people on the planet, getting enough food, although I guess you could count that as a goal :/

*not nec romantic

Anonymous

Or to add another quote: “Life is what happens between your plans” j lennon

davidl

The point is, is that there is no point, never was, never will be. To find peace, start by eliminating the ‘point’. That’s hard for the ego. It needs a purpose, a goal, something to do. Without the point it sees no value in anything or anyone. So it sort of misses the point. 🙂
This whole western idea of productivity, expansion, work ethic. It’s not only nonsense it’s turned out to be quite destructive. We could destroy the whole ecosystem with our fuqing work ethic bullshit.
We have turned the garden into machine world as we strive for ????

Pi

look yes i do get this. i have stopped ‘searching’ for a ‘deeper meaning’ to things because, in my fishy estimation, there is not one. we can read or not read as much as we want into things and they are exactly what they are, regardless of our busying ourselves with significations and placing ourselves and our need for relevance at the centre of things. but you see. with this comes a thing: why bother to act, in any way, at all? and then: if nothing means anything, then why NOT act, in any way? but with the awareness that… Read more »
