If you look at the Katy Perry birth chart, it’s like a cluster of Scorpio. She’s got Pluto, the Sun, Ascendant, Mercury, Saturn and the Moon there. Now that is a stellium. It also means that she has a massive presence of cosmic energy in the Via Combusta. AKA she’s got witch credentials.
So why is Ms. Six Planets in Scorpio depicted as sulking in a barnyard in couch fabric like Scarlett O’Hara’s Mogadon harpie of a second cousin?
But she is actually only up there to illustrate this quote from her notorious G.Q. Interview:
“I see everything through a spiritual lens,” she says. “I believe in a lot of astrology. I believe in aliens. Then I look up into the stars and I imagine: How self-important are we to think that we are the only life-form? I mean, if my relationship with Obama gets any better, I’m going to ask him that question. It just hasn’t been appropriate yet. I might have won Wisconsin for him,” she says. “Actually, I didn’t do too much, but he called on me a couple of times. Which was very nice.”
Astrology And Aliens Are Real – Magic Is Real – But Geishas?
I believe in astrology and aliens too – I get it. Astrology works and I have seen a U.F.O.
But it was this quote that has been earning her some, you know, attention. “Geishas are basically, like, the masters of loving unconditionally.” I never think that every single strong female figure in pop-culture has to be a raving symbol of feminist empowerment but this does seem a little disingenuous?
I read Memoirs Of A Geisha and it seemed mega conditional. Like Conditions Central.
Or ARE geishas all about unconditional love? There could be a deeper, multiple Scorpio dimension here that i am missing because i don’t have that much Scorp. Multi-Scorps, speak up. And others, obviously.
Oh and what else do we see from the Katy Perry birth chart? She has no Air element and Venus conjunct Uranus. So she’s got passion and intuition to burn but strives for detached, objectivity. Venus conjunct Uranus is the renegade of Love, literally refusing to stay a single moment longer after the heat is gone. Or, as this in Sagittarius, when the little lies and untruths start to sneak in.
Authenticity is her currency, geisha or no geisha.
