Mars In Virgo Checkpoint

Filed in Mars

Dear Mystic,

So, since mars has shipped on into Virgo, here is what i’ve noticed in my life:
Excessively high use of the internet / my laptop / pages and googling and reading online
Embracing of Friday night spent at the gym then home to a free range chicken salad with biodynamic almonds my new idea of fun
Excessive research about health  / fitness / bodybuilding / clean eating / body transformations /ketamine /alcohol and its effects blah blah blah every. single. day (for motivation, really)
Stringent use of a training and diet diary
Sudden stringent use of a budget diary
Excessive charting and mapping of goals
Measurements and body fat taken each week
Online e-business course for 2 hours every day
Higher spend than usual on ‘supplements’ such as Maca, BCAAs and organic raw cacao and excessive participation in online weight loss forums!

My brother (Virgo sun in the 10th house) is even more extreme:
No sooner had mars moved into his sun sign than he signed up with a poliquin trainer for some ridiculous fee and ‘shredded’ himself down from what he called a ‘blubberous’ 18% body fat to 10% body fat on a paleo diet with no cardio and ‘tabata’ interval training that apparently leaves him ready to cry at the end of every workout. Now only eats carbs once per week, and then, it is only sweet potato (steamed).

How’s it affecting you??

Piscean Princess

Dear Piscean Princess,

How’s it affecting ME? Mate i have natal Mars in Virgo. So i am feral with this.  Key Manifestations in the last 24 hours:  I have become a Probiotics Geek.  Intelligence, immunity, instinct – all in the Gut. Different strains of probiotic do different things. The latest research into this schizz is AMAZING.  Also a Pilates Geek. You have not lived until you have tried an exercise called the Fascia Dog – like Downward Dog in yoga but it does strange, magical things to your fascia, which IS of course a liquid collagen crystal matrix with an intelligence of its own. Plus i got some extra calorie burn striding around Bunnings (huge hardware store) looking for the mysterious Aisle 55, realized that i can now tell when my brain is operating off Theta, said NO to a drinks thing (too frivolous + Mars in Virgo sees wine as mere sugar and yeast), hydroflossed, kegelled and rolled out my i.t.b.s. We should compare thoughts on O.P.C.s soon.

Everyone else?

I am Mars in Virgo natally plus Pluto-Uranus conj within spitting distance so Virgo action always affects me one way or the other. I am doing better with this Mars transit than I did last time around. A week of healthy eating/exercise and zero-minor booze consumption and surprise surprise I feel a little better physically. Have begun to say no and manage my emotions / physical exhaustion a little better. After getting yet another body part strapped up by yet another bodyworker I finally accepted that I’m biomechanically fuqued. It really has to be about structural repairs/reform right now –… Read more »

This Ass Power image is just TOO funny.
Couldn’t believe it when I opened the MM site on my browser yesterday morning……… just too much.
Didn’t realize Ass Power was in the astro, that’s just too perfect after the weekend I had…………….hilarious. Love the awesome little lightning bolt.

/Pisces Sun 6th House, Virgo Asc, Mars in Sagg/ been through the detox with probitics fase for quite some time now (2-3years)…after a vegan fase and not eating anything after 18:00h fase. after a while probiotics started making me feeling sick like having a fever. Now (last week or so) on junk food once a day regime feeling awesome. Strange isn’t it… Last time mars was in virgo for some time done me a lot of wrong. 12th house virgo and Asc made me feel ineffective no mather what I did, this time feeling strong like “come on do me… Read more »

Virgo 7th house: Mars transiting there is like shining a spotlight on asses around me. For instance, I’m sitting in a diner today trying to enjoy my omelette and don’t you know some guy at the counter is flapping his jaw to the waitress about stomach flu & pustules, I shit you not. I wanted to say, “Do you fuqin mind?” but a mean mug did the trick.

It’s like they’re coming out of the woodwork, even though they were here all along. Thanks, Mars in Virgo.

Mars in Virgo is has crept up on me unexpectedly: * More productive at work – yep * Working out like a fiend – yep * Hardcore budgeting – yep. Mars is in my 2nd house ATM; I’m thinking about security re: money and getting like a warrior on paying off all of my debt. I wish it wasn’t so hard to climb back out – I’ve realised today that it’s going to require an entire reprogramming of my consciousness. But that is good, that is worthwhile. Mars is at 17 Virgo, EXACTLY opposite my Mars at 17 Pisces. Also my Mars exactly conjuncts the MC, so transiting Mars is conjuncting my IC at the mo’…. my inherent anger has been fired up, but also probably due to my PTSD flare up that I was sharing about in another thread. I feel the desire to move forward, especially in my career, but feel frustrated with few outlets to do so right now. Doing a lot of networking which feels like casting about with not much result and it’s not exactly a waste of time, but perhaps due… Read more »

I have mars conjunct SATURN in virgo in the 1st. Feral is a mild word. I’m a vegan with a diet prominently based on fruit, low fat, low protein. Done the research, became the guinea pig and enjoyed the results. My best friend is a natural health professional and we could spend hours talking about health and nutrition from an even philosophical and mystical perspective. I have Pluto, Jupiter and Uranus conjunct in Virgo, which Mars is also about to conjunct in my 3rd house. Have been working on my own writing business, and being very particular about that, and just landed my first official contract with a restaurant writing copy about themes of great love and poetry. Wow. Then there’s the physical, finding certain substances insubstantial, booze seems backwards, and the idea of being able to swim 500 metres again like I used to as a teenager suddenly appeals. OK.I.give.in – I too seem to have succumbed finally to the Mars in Virgo vibe – I was pretty productive when it was in my 6th house, now its in my 7th which is Virgo ruled I’ve started doing my back/leg exercises again, discovered some new arm exercises*, back on iron and supplements, and had a fab night with one of my BFF with whom I had a falling out in the winter. Nightrose

Have been around Korean food for a long time and the longer I am I realize, Korean food is shaman food. Lots of herbs and roots, like burdock and dandelion as an example, all cooked lightly and seasoned naturally. Lots of ancestor worship and connection to earth and spirits. People dont understand this about Korea, they just think its a wannabe China. but seriously, its like bitch pls, the last thing they want to be is like China and there is good reason. Just because they are a small country has nothing to do with the soul of the ppl.… Read more »

i don’t see korean food and culture as anything like Chinese (well chinese culture too is pretty diverse I guess). Nightrose
Nightrose

Haha, yes, the instant noodles. Obviously that is not authentic Korean food. Modern Korea(well at least the South), has really embraced the westernizing of their culture. You will find the old ways to be very different from the modern. With the westernization came things like McDonalds and instant noodles to fit in with a different lifestyle and way of living… convenience and speed but not necessarily healthy things. So there is a great divide between the old ways and modern culture. So that is what I mean, what we know of Korean food, things we see commonly – like instant… Read more »

Sorry about your toe cosmic. I shouldn’t laugh about your misfortune, but I smashed (not quite broke) my toe on Tuesday night – lots of thunder storms where I am, and my fur kid doesn’t cope – was trying to maneuver around him in the dark, tripped and ended up writhing around on the floor for 10 minutes in the dark while using every swear word known to man! I have nothing in virgo natally; that part of my chart is completely bare. I tell you though, I have totally turned into a virgo with this transit – disciplined with my time, hard working, exact. Sadly though i have developed an allergy to my partner’s laziness, who is obviously not feeling the mars in virgo the same way (double aries – if he’s not getting paid for it he doesn’t do it). It’s kind of exhilarating just seeing how much work I can accomplish, but kind of frustrating that everyone is not on the same boat lol 🙂

Am I one of the only ones NOT feeling this vibe? And I don’t mean “not liking” it, but I just can’t feel it. Maybe it’s because it’s been my Magical Moon time for the last week, but I’ve been more of a jittery, emotional mess the last few days. I’ve gotten a couple bouts of motivation, but I’m not sure it’s any more than my usually sporadic bouts. Maybe because there’s not Virgo in my chart, and this transiting Mars isn’t aspecting anything (except a square to Uranus, which explains the mini meltdown/tantrum I had the other night)?

I’m definitely more with you. The last zap zone exact hit gave me major emotional epiphanies and then it’s all been scrambling from there, trying to find solid ground to stand on again. The only Mars in Virgo-esque thing I’ve done is insist that the kitchen be clean as much as possible, but that’s because otherwise I think I’d go mad while I’m doing National novel writing month. That’s probably more the culprit than any planetary influence right now, now that I think about it 😛

I have mars in virgo along with venus, mercury, sun. So mars in virgo feels so normal and natural to me that I feel it isn’t affecting me as much. (I am currently really feeling the outer planets – Jupiter, Neptune. I am processing heavy stuff lately and going through a transition).

I have always been an obsessive researcher, always analyzed my diet, etc.
BUT! Mars has got me exercising more regularly, taking a supplement, making more lists, cooking healthy soups more than usual, etc.

FelineFoe

It’s real. Only Mars in Virgo could make a meat and greens diet look like the only real choice. Sauerkraut is god. If I can’t write a list about it, it doesn’t exist.

Updated my change of address with the last organisation yesterday. Does feel like that chapter (with the ex) is now completely over and no residual feelings. So Uranus, Jupiter and Pluto Heliocentric T-Square on Nov 13 helped me release any old relationship hangovers. fwiw i completely disagree with the theory that virgo = cleanliness. also many virgos (all?) i know do not avoid eating crap. in fact several have a tendency to gluttony. so, maybe you’re doing ok. xx also from a fellow laundry mountaineer, it will go away eventually. Lux about this Noni juice, let me know if you actually FEEL
it in your system. Lived in Tahiti for 2 years with a Fire Dancer for a woman bestie, who told me all about the natural products there. When i asked about the tree (so plentiful close to beach,) that the noni ‘fruit’ comes from she said ‘it’s nothing-no use’.
A litre was same price as French Champagne. I FEEL that after a glass but not the Noni!

I think whether it works for you may depend on your skin/body chemistry. I have oily skin and hair. Since I started drinking it (I get the fermented version) my skin is no longer oily and I have no pimples. Pretty amazing. But you need to drink it 1/2 an hour before your main meal.

I feel much more energised and I crave the stuff. At first I loathed the flavour but now I quite like it.

Hey Lux (love the name love the cramps) I will give this a red hot go! I have oily hair/skin and dirty hair is my nono – virgo-virgo rising Venus in Leo

I’d go for the champagne Pegs 😛

hah! At one point in my life I had no bathroom mirror. I saved SO MUCH time not faffing around in there!! So I understand..
Also, less time attacking blemishes.. . That plus an exacting skin care habit [and a sort of naturally-arrived-at no-caffeine, low-booze, fun outdoors lifestyle) meant for the first time in decades I had immaculate, smooth, glowing skin. it can be done

Pi
Pi

ironically this was also because i wanted to save time: so among other things I decided that if I had perfect skin, then I wouldn’t need to fuq around with foundation sludge and all the rest. (tinted eyelashes another on that list)
Vindicated one morning when I went to touch up any dark corners etc on face and realised I didn’t have to do anything. joy! need to get that back..

YES! Since Mars in Virgo (I have Virgo Sun) I have stocked up on raw food, got into Blue-green algae chocolate and have taken to analysing every THOUGHT/ACTION on a time/motion/efficiency basis.

The fascia dog? WOW, do share! My best trick with fascia is to wear really really tight (old lady tummy support) undies. Kind of re-programs it from slack to firm.

I’m doing a sea plants based diet and doing parkour. Lots of cute, fit male 20 somethings to distract me at least.

Ha ha my 20s art student friends do parkour. Too much danger of gravel rash or hitting concrete for me!!

oh don’t get me wrong. i suck at it and live in fear of twisting my ankle at all times, but it’s interesting a s all hell. I think skateboarding is easier and less dangerous tbh.

Gemyogi

I’m even too much of a wimp to skateboard! Plus don’t want to look like those sad middle aged men trying to look cool. But parkour is interesting.

Electric Eel Libran

Hey there’s still room for sad, middle aged women to totally rock skatebarding! 😀

I don’t do any stunts though, just long boarding.

Pi
Pi

middle aged women skateboarding would be AWESOME and trend-busting. plus added benefit you become a better snowboarder 🙂
in your face, boring other stuff! do it. DO IT! 😀 i mean there is the gravity / impact thing but hey if gravity is going to get us all anyway, why not have fun while we’re going down… when you’re skating on thin ice you may as well tapdance as the saying goes

Pi

long boarding would be cool. the vids i’ve seen are v cruisy 🙂

Yes! Definitely feeling this. I too have become obsessed with ‘superfoods’ like Maca (and drinking the powdered form regularly despite it being absolutely disgusting) plus a whole host of organic food, vitamins, goat’s milk, gluten free, carb free etc. I have made the most amazing new recipes this week!

Ass Power? Well i HAVE one now since tobacco is a thing of the past. If i have put on 4 ½ kilos, guess my ass must be a fair share of that. How opportune since they have become so trendy having overtaken breasts in the selfies & instagram arena. My body shape role models came from 50’s models, Suzie Parker (no tits & ass) and from years of ballet, Pavlova (no tits & ass), def not the Lopez or Kashadian shape. My first day back at work and response has been spectacular, or seems that way as i was… Read more »

I thought the 50’s figure had big chests as an ideal? Like Jayne Mansfield or Marilyn?

LOL! I’m my own shape that was never ideal in any time period. If Brock Sampson and Kim Kardashian could make offspring, it would look like me shape-wise. I can bench press my own weight.

pegasus

EE, Mansfield & Monroe were movie stars not models, big difference, large wardrobes both 🙂

Started my work life in fashion, apprenticeship for 5 years. Intern is it now. Things i used to do, love and get small pay now have titles! Cool ones too.

Strength, that’s a huge asset and we all have our assets in different body parts and mind sections too. Love your discipline to achieve what you have.

congrats Pegs! So awesome for you.
and no, i had no idea there was a huge schism in “ideal” body types of the 50’s. It’s so rarely commented on.
You see things for luscious 40’s pin ups. Then it sort of skips to groovy Twiggy types in the 60’s. 70’s sort of continues tall, thin, boyish. 80’s things get voluptuous again. 90’s get shorter and waif-y. Since the 00, models are tall, skinnier and have boyish hips.
very informational!

recently decided to embrace The Ass – more importantly, my own (not literally, as that would be complicated). It’s there. It’s fine. I go running, don’t eat crap, maybe train sometimes. Any guy (or girl I guess) who criticizes my physique can go jump. That’s pretty much my conclusion. 🙂

naw, I’m definitely still just as lazy.
I learned a few little things and made a few workout improvements though, now I will reach my goals faster.
But seriously though, I still procrastinate a lot.

pegasus

Think of it this way David, those who don’t plan & think don’t have anything to procrastinate about. Keep to your list. Have 10 items on it. Do 5 and congratulate yourself. It’s all about The Reward: What will i get for doing this? Perhaps instead ask: How will i FEEL if i do this, then ask How will i feel if i DON’T do it? Probably get a negative answer on the latter, so practise turning it into a positive by DOING it. That’s how Electric Eel Libran got muscles:-) That’s what you will get, muscles on your mind.… Read more »

My thoughts exactly.

Just reading this made my brain hurt.

My Mars is in Toro (2nd house), and I’m Aries Rising, so to me Mars is all about warrior energy, defending the weak, and not giving a fuq about what other peeps think. And channelling Xena Warrior Princess, except I’m more a Warrior Queen.

The words ‘wine is mere sugar and yeast’ made me sad. It’s so much more….

Plus fitness/diet bootcamp-y types telling me what to do give me the shits. Moderation in all things, is my motto.

But I have doubled my yoga practice and started swimming laps 1-2 times a week.

Beer is bread in a blender. I <3 wine.
Mars in Toro too (4th House) and it's loving being in Virgo. I am too tall to be a Princess.
