A Scorpio woman is a warrior. Few were as thoroughly Scorpionic, fierce and Plutonic as the Golden Era Hollywood star Hedy Lamarr.
“A Scorpio woman has extreme highs and lows of desire; my birth sign also says I’m a worrier. I like a good-spirited argument.”
Indeed. She fails to mention that – a la this previous post on this most glorious of old-school stars – she also spied. Lamarr was the first woman to simulate an orgasm on screen and designed defensive submarine torpedo technology.
Interestingly, she was born with Mercury Retrograde, a poetic placement with many advantages. But it can also mean people misquote you all the time. She had the Moon in Leo conjunct Neptune and opposite Uranus, the signature of inventive people.
Fourteen years after her death in 2000, the National Inventor’s Hall of Fame honored Lamarr for her invention of ‘frequency-hopping.’
Though she enjoyed the money, this super Scorpio woman often scorned the culture that saw people “obsessed with money and breasts.” The secret to her so-called glamor, she said, “was to stand very still and try to look stupid.”
Maybe she meant to say “warrior,” but the person interviewing her mistranscribed it? Thoughts?
