Fuq Impossibility

Filed in CAPRICORN

Laila Ali boxing“Impossible is nothing – impossible is not a fact – it is an opinion.”

Okay so fuq impossibility.  I love Laila Ali – she’s a wife, mother, retired boxer, survivor, champion and Capricorn.

After her father’s (Muhammed Ali) divorce from her mother, things did not go so well for Ms Ali. She spent time in jail, there was abuse and other challenges.  She owned her own nail salon aged 19 before becoming a boxer and is now back in the beauty biz.

Oh and Pluto is conjunct her North Node; That’s the classic pulling yourself up by the bootstraps bit of astro.  Strong Pluto in your chart often = to hell and back. Don’t forget the “and back” bit. Every day is a comeback opportunity for Pluto people.

Natal moon sextile natal Pluto.

I am a Kataka/Cancer so the moon is personal, to me the most personal.
The sextile may not seem like a big aspect, but this aspect is exact in my chart. 6* Leo moon to 6 * Libra Pluto. 12th house to 2nd house.

to hell and back….several times.

hoping this “to hell and back” translates for my friend and her hubby. she is pluto rising, he is pluto in the first nn rising (10 degrees apart so not exactly conjunct). the prognosis is much much worse today. shit is fuqed. also there is a massive manhunt in the next town over for a guy who murdered a 9 yr-old girl in her bedroom yesterday afternoon. and fire season has begun.

Hey Peeps! Have NN conj Pluto in 3rd Lib and have to say have been to hell so often that I have my own personal room/cell there! But as MM so succinctly states, the comebacks are clockwork! Thank the stars =) This post has come just as the right time (as they so often do) and where I was quietly licking my wounds from the plethera of recent hellish events, am now digging out the gloves once more! Pluto has felt like my ruler since time despite a 3 planet, 2 asteroid line up in the 5th in Sagi and… Read more »

What about pluto conjunct the south node? I have that conjunction in scorp in the 8th house!!!

Saturnalien
Saturnalien

If I just replace your Mars in Cap with my Venus in Cap – then ditto to every word you just wrote!

Phoenixing is the norm for me too (though the other half of my chart is in Scorpio so that probably has a lot to do with it).

Saturnalien
Saturnalien

Uranus in Scorpio in 4th house would be fairly potent, and even more Scorpyness if you’ve got Scorpio IC too. Planets in the 8th house have a Scorp flavour too… What you say about focusing energies more toward self-mastery, etc than material persuits makes complete sense to me as I’m much the same way inclined. I think it could be a combination of Pluto square Asc + the Capricorn drive for perfection + Uranus in 4th having a bit of a hand in things too. It’s often noted that ther are two types of Capricorns, the mountain climbing high achieve… Read more »

I agree! I have puzzled over the Cap I know best not fitting the material stereotype but he is totally a wise goat 🙂

There is also a 4th type – the asshole Cap. There are not too many in existance, unfortunately I just happened to bump into one of them. 🙁

saturnsayshi

prowlncrab… I know one of these asshole caps — I think it’s just a negative manifestation of what it feels like to be distinctly and explicitly OUTSIDE of a Cap’s coveted close group of most trusted friends and family. It’s taken me almost two decades to try to figure out what’s at the center of this Cap friend of mine — good or evil or just power-tripping. He’s always been beautiful, brilliant and cold. Later I realized he has Scorp moon/venus/pluto going on and it plays out in a POWERFUL need for secrecy. His cardinal one-upmanship and metrosexual Leo ASC.… Read more »

I love Laila, a total inspiration – she’s got ‘true grit’.

I’d love to know if she has the same rising sign as Michelle Bridges (PT on Australian Biggest Loser) – their facial structure / body stances are almost identical.

I didn’t think much of her at first but I’ve developed a soft spot for her over the years.

Confession: I really only watch TBL to drool over Commando Steve – I know, it’s sad…

pi
pi

oh it’s not sad at ALL mwaha

what i like about her is she’s had this mega break on biggest loser, and her efforts outside that are purely to bring it home to people that health and fitness is easy, not a matter of fussing around. She is straightforward, down to earth, personally tough, but accessible and not an unreasonable shit talking hard-ass, like some trainers are. all the things that I like in a trainer.

well maybe on TV she is an unreasonable hard-ass, but that’s reality tv for you.

😛 oh *sigh* He’s HOT!!!! I had the immense pleasure of seeing him in real life, sitting across from me in a cafe. I was hyperventilating on the inside, cool calm and collected on the outside. He’s even hotter in real life. I don’t usually go for the gym junkie type but he’s got such a beautiful face. 🙂 Amazing eyes and a beautiful smile. He’s a Gemini last time I astro stalked. Can’t remember moon. But in 1976 venus was in Gem and mars in Leo. He’s gotta have something in Scorp with the sunglasses as his signature look.

Saturnalien

OMG, you lucky woman!!! 😛 It’s his face that attracts me too, fuqing gorgeous without being a “pretty boy”… DAMN shame he’s married. *sigh*… I astro-stalked him a while back too – as ya do 😉 Gemini Sun and Mars in Leo are the only bits I can remember too! (I remember thinking there was more synastry hope for me with Ricky Restylane Martin – but he’s into cock not frock 🙁 ) My friends all call me “The Comandette” because I look a bit like a female version of him – sparkly blue eyes, colgate smile + the camo… Read more »

yeah bummer he’s married. He was with his wife. 🙁 “Ricky Restylane Martin – but he’s into cock not frock” 😆 I saw your photo recently. Now that you mention it, you did look a bit “Comandette”. Hot and a little bit alien 😉 I like dressing like a male too! It’s definitely a Cap thing. Love watches too. I actually have a khaki shirt that I bought from the boys section. Fuq yea, I totally hear you on trying to buy basic clothes – if I see something plain and comfortable, I buy shitloads of them while I can! (I get dressed up uber feminine to go out, but day to day I dress like a boy!

Just for the record, I was wearing my Dame Edna silly specs and being total “strike a pose dork” in the picture you saw of me – my regular sunnies are more Commando style!

I also have Pluto conjunct my NN in my third house – the weird thing is that Jupiter also sits smack bang on my NN then Uranus is 3 degrees after Pluto, Jupiter and NN, all in Virgo at the trail end of my 3rd House. It is tough stuff, my brother (also a Virgo) was critically head injured in a motor accident when I was young. In a sense he died, even though he survived, because the person he was was irrevocably changed, which is what happens when people suffer frontal lobe injuries. That’s my take on my conjunction… Read more »

Pluto conjunct my moon. I have nothing positve to say about this placement.

Scorpbot

Nothing positive about Pluto square moon Saggo in 11th either. Sudden and impulsive burning bridges.

Pluto trines Jupiter and sextiles Sun. So that’s good I suppose

saturnsayshi
saturnsayshi

feel your pain on this one. I have aqua moon square 11th house pluto. It’s not fun… it’s like there’s a switch, and once it turns OFF for someone or someplace it doesn’t go back on again. ever. sudden bridge-burning like whoa, no argument, no drama, just “that’s it.”

Scorpbot
Scorpbot

Oh wow! The on/off switch. Yes! 🙂 We (moon square Pluto/Uranus in 11th peeps) should come with a warning.
I can’t stand drama! and I never ever go back – neighbourhoods, friends, work. I’m actually quite forgiving but once that switch goes off. That’s it. No further negotiating.

I just pulled up a list of 843 people on astro theme.com with that same conjunction – all have been to hell and back you reckon.

Saturnalien

I don’t see Mystic saying every person with Pluto/Node conjunction has been to hell and back.

“Strong Pluto in your chart often = to hell and back.”

Note the use of the word “often” in that sentence.

I thought you said only 5d is a conjunction?

L. Ali’s pluto is 16d and her North node is 9d. Too Wide.

Scorp Sun/Rising
Scorp Sun/Rising

It’s my understanding that there isn’t a set rule on the orb of influence. Depending on the power of the planets involved as well as transits occurring, it can sometimes be much wider. Pluto, as we know, packs a pretty powerful punch so I personally would allow for a wider range of influence. (that’s me personally) I’ve seen some astrologers give upwards of 10 and 12 degrees for the influence. That’s too much for me… but it’s how they are interpreting it.

Serenity
Serenity

I’ve used up to 10 for an orb. 5 is strict.

DP
DP

I don’t think it’s too wide at all. Every astrologer has their own rules regarding orbs, but my general understanding is 10 degrees for the luminaries, and 8 degrees for the others. But there’s plenty of wiggle room.

I have Venus conjunct Saturn in my chart by a 7 degree orb, and I can tell you that it is the most profound and significant aspect in my chart. Of course, they are also straddling the Midheaven, so perhaps the angle magnifies it.

Her pluto-node conjunction squares her sun.

Her Mars square Pluto.

Anonymous

It depends what house & sign her pluto and node are in and what they aspect and angles they make to other planets – which warrants a closer ‘to hell and back’ – c’mon, that’s a bit general!

Dear SeaGoat, I am still sooo very green transit wise..my learning comes more from what blindsides me at the time. I did quick google (when Pluto is on your ascendent) and thought this might help shine a little light – ”Both your Ascendant and Descendant are being visited by Pluto (don’t forget that whatever happens to the ASC also happens to the DSC, it’s an axis), so your self-image, how you see your self in relation to others, needs to transform (to use that overused word).
