I’m Pisces sun and Kataka Rising. I am totally relating to your take in the horoscopes on Kataka career awesome. I am expanding rapidly and managing to rise to my mental ‘ideal’ image of myself. It’s great. What I want to ask you to explain is how to overcome the Piscean tendency to self medicate in times of stress.
I’m super sensed to coffee at the mo, reaching for it to get me over the line starting to turn back to sugar and a few drinks and needing to have the highest level of energy I’ve ever needed – best gathered in my case by meditation, yoga and nature etc. I simply need to be at full strength. So my question is, how do you think it’s best to work with the lower Neptunian influences so we can really max out the awesome? Do you think you could blog your thoughts on this at some point?

Congratulations on clearly channelling the Zap Zone so brilliantly. This sounds fantastic! But okay, first of all you’re asking a Single Origin Coffee Addict who has in depth psycho-coffee-geek chats with baristas so cool they vibe like characters in a William Gibson novel. I am talking Geisha coffee, coffee beans from Mt Everest (for when no altitude is high enough), coffee beans grown in shamanic soil and coffee beans from space. Last person on this planet for advice on de-caffeinating, soz.

But you sound like you’re doing this in epic style – yoga, meditation etc. I personally think that in times of high demand life and workloads (a.k.a the whole of the Zap Zone for most people) you have to make yourself exercise, even if you don’t technically have the time. It will always reset your brain to max Awesome via endorphins & fabulous neurotransmitters nobody even really knows the name of yet.
And my Libra naturopath told me that B Vitamins + those fizzy Zinc drinks are like GOLD for hi-stress peeps but also that the key thing is to keep your glycemic levels even – not surging and then dropping because you’re on that sugar roller coaster. There are huge tomes written on this but essentially it boils down to protein with every meal & don’t eat shit. Like, if you want a ‘treat’ and that ‘treat’ is to be food, keep it gourmet – not junk.
She also said that SLEEP is the best vitamin. And that the way to get a good sleep is not to lie awake at 1am googling schizz on your iPhone. I specialize in Mars in Virgo Symptoms Analysis at that time. But the light from the phone fuqs with your pineal gland so your brain thinks it is DAWN and starts to send ‘wake the fuq up and go hunt something’ hormones through your body. So hence of COURSE voodoo coffee shots next a.m and then of course less ability to sleep.
Having said all that, i have just gone 84 days without a drop of alcohol and THAT makes stress/big workloads so much easier. It’s crazy. You realise there is a reason why a lot of successful people don’t drink – it gets in the way and once you remove it you (a) have to face the emo issues that might usually be suppressed and actually process/integrate them and (b) you’re not trying to deal with a poison (even just a bit of it) the whole time so your liver etc functions better.
What else? Oh yes – don’t hang with Qi Vampires. You know the sort of people who act like half your ideas are just some affectation because you’re kind of deeply warped where-as they, with their cliched lives and non-stop whining are apparently normal.
Binaural Beats are amazing when you need to regenerate fast. They’re also totally Haute Neptune so say you are feeling strung out and over-whelmed, longing for some wine, crisps and jelly snakes (my personal axis of nutrition evil when i am stressed), you instead have a 20 minute power nap with a Binaural playing – you can’t hear it, it just sounds like wig-wam music – and voila you emerge Phoenixed.
And Green Tea and/or l-Glutamate kill cravings dead. But hey i think you sound GREAT and congrats on Zapping the Zap Zone.
What does everyone else think? How do you combat Lower Neptune urges? A.k.a. addictions, defensive drinking, sugar hits that mess with your mind, delusional thinking because you’re too busy to analyze straight etc.
