Astro Bowie Is Instructional

Bowie Aladdin SaneYou can learn a lot about astrology by observing the astro of singular people. David Bowie is a fantastic example as he has an ongoing cultural relevancy, cool credentials and fan base that would be the envy of any artist. It’s practically life-long. He’s had fame without being majorly fuqed up by it, he’s evolved all the time without it seeming like desperate posturings to reinvent himself and he’s enjoyed mass market popularity whilst always remaining somehow niche.

His chart:

* Aqua Rising so always ahead of time AND his ruler Uranus is on the North Node in Gemini. If you have Aquarius Rising, Uranus is your chart ruler and so you want it to be well placed. Uranus on North Node automatically places you as a rule-breaker and creator of fresh worlds. He was gender-bending in the public eye way before more people cracked onto it. And not just pushing poetic, sci-fi and surreal lyrics but making them pop-cult.

* Mars conjunct his Capricorn Sun in the 12th House. Let NOBODY crap onto you about how the 12th House (which i call the Soul Sector in my Horoscopes) is the “house of self-undoing.”  No way. In Bowie’s case, it’s like a secret super-power. He gets to waft about being Uranian whilst being fuelled by clandestine bouts of hard work and extreme focus that feel like a spiritual discipline to him. Mars in Capricorn is already exalted – it’s the fiercest Mars of all and the work ethic is something to behold. Hooked up with a 12th House Sun = spiritual transcendence and you can make it into your business.

* Venus on his Midheaven in Saggo. Seriously, the dude is gifted. You have to wonder who he fuqed in a past life lol. Venus-Midheaven = the enduring love of the masses/your people. It’s very hard to screw up here. Where-as other peeps have one little sex scandal and voomp; they’re finished- Venus-Midheaven can do no wrong.

* A Grand Air Trine – Uranus in Gemini trine Neptune in Libra trine the Aqua Rising. So Mr Bowie is a bona fide Outer Planet Person, transmitting trends & tapping into the collective subconscious. He’s amorphically resonating in the shower each morning. Grand Air Trine people tend to contribute Big Ideas & new waves of thoughts to society. Not only that, they find there is a ready acceptance for their theories.

* Moon in Leo (the classic ‘performer’ Moon) but super-charged by Saturn + Pluto. This gives one a perma-Zap Zone consciousness. Also so Diva, devotee of Music & Art in all forms. Muse also for the Pluto in Leo (baby boomer) generation who did the most to elevate him.

Bowie’s incredible! I’ve always figured Aqua must be prominent in his chart, since he vibes so UNLIKE the typical Capricorn (ie the sheer flamboyance, whereas Caps tend to prefer blacks, greys, earth tones – stylish but rarely out-there). That Venus – midheaven is reassuring to hear. Mine’s in Taurus so I’ve always assumed I’ll gain fame thru art…(gotta make some first!)
Loving the in-depth chart analysis Mystic. Bowie is truly worth it.

What an incredibly powerful chart! Not surprising but it’s like, there it is, all laid out and it makes sense. Like MM said, you can learn a lot about astrology studying one prominent and influential person.

I’m an Aqua Sun and I’m diggin’ it, all of it! Have always been drawn to and fascinated by David Bowie and I love his new album, too!

Arrived in London June ’73 for the ‘farewell’ David Bowie concert at Hammersmith Odeon, so successful he didn’t, it was actually a retirement of a persona. Was given the trip for 6 months by what is now Frontier Touring, purely to go to concerts & give feedback in lieu of asking them to OZ Was wearing a Sherbet T-shirt & Amco jeans i remember, when at interval, a woman was seriously checking me out, we has exact the same hair colour & style. Next day’s new Musical Express had a pix of the same woman…Angie Bowie. My introduction to swinging London… Read more »

Love Bowie!!!!! My son’s middle name is connected to Bowie even, among other things.

He has a moon in Leo like me and 2 of my children. Awesome. Mine is in the 12th though, so I am not a performer, except alone.

oh so aqua rising.

Interesting fact: David Bowie was offered Knighthood by the Queen. And he politely turn her down. Independent thinking there. Elton John was likely falling all over himself to kneel at the feet of the …….oh whatever.

Interesting… Didn’t know that… Btw, there is a major retrospective of all things Bowie currently at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.

Love it.
Love the 12th house reading – I have 12th house significance and have struggled to get it because I’m not into drugs or criminal activities, but yes spirituality and art and secretly work work plan work

I dreamt of David this morning, how interesting… In the dream I was living in a share house in the cbd, and a bunch of cool cats came over and impromptu party happened, I felt very uncool, and looked at my record collection and thought of offering them my record to play looked down at it and it was David bowie, dont know which album, but when I listened it sounded like they were already playing bowie… Outside of this dream, bowie was very much a part of my life, a soundtrack to many years…. Haven’t listened to his new… Read more »

My Dad took me and my sis to his Serious Moonlight tour as our first ‘contemporary’ gig when we were around 14 or something.

He’s ALWAWS been a kind of Aqua ‘presence’ there for me over the years.. ..As I was in some way expecting this latest album and wotnot..

In the same way Iggy Pop just totally kicks ass at the moment in his performances I love how Bowie and Iggy’s relationship still intertwines when it comes to their impact.

And then
And then

Of course, Capricorn and Leo have given him fabulously photogenic bone structure .

well we thought it was pretty funny given that he is a dude and 67 years old, drunk or not, but sure take it as that I meant that I am walking around thinking I am David Bowie.., heh. The cranky anon factor on here is totally humourless and lame.

The best thing I can say about Bowie is that most of his albums, I hated instantly and then I changed my mind. And how often does a Taurus change his mind about his aesthetic sensibility? I was looking around for some clips to post of Bowie’s 2000 performance live at the BBC Radio Theater. This is the best live performance recording I ever saw. And surprisingly, the whole thing is on YouTube. Oh that band is so hot. Earl Slick on guitar, and those backup singers are sizzling. The CD of this concert is in my iPhone and it’s… Read more »

David Bowie is the soundtrack of my childhood as I had an older sister obsessed with him.
So I feel really he informed my world concept on some level and he is truly an amazing artist.
I wish I hadn’t heard the story his kid’s former nanny who lives near me. She told of a dull Bowie & Iman popping prescription pills continuously and being less than attentive or interested parents to their child.
In any case, his astro is fascinating and he truly is a singular creative channel.

I don’t believe it. Bowie had 25 yrs. sobriety when he died. Iman insisted he get clean and sober early on. Ultimately, one must get sober for oneself, but she was certainly a catalyst. It is well-know that he helped a number of people get sober over the year.

Can’t think of Bowie without thinking of my friend’s coffin being lowered and getting stuck during a key part of “Space Oddity”. He was telling us something then, and he’s still telling us now.

Bowie is now officially my aspirational Mars in the 12th house uber-guru.

He’s looking like he’s on a good on in that picture…love that despite having a hardcore addiction (injecting cocaine! yikes) he is sober now and has been able to stay that way for so long. I also love that he is married to Iman! She is so naturally, flawlessly gorgeous and strikes me as a genuinely good and grounded person despite all her fame.

I think I’m going to have to make him my 12H Mars guru too, and Venus=midheaven. Not that I am into scandal. Maybe that’s Mars=Saturn at play.

Bowie = truly iconic

“clandestine bouts of hard work that feel like spiritual discipline” -YES!! i can get behind that. aspirational ubu-gu most definitely.

shooting coke- ugh. that’s gotta be the most death-wishy of all addictions. walking the razor’s edge every what, 15 minutes? i feel nauseated thinking about it.

Love Bowie even as a child, I didn’t understand his whole androgynous ways as kid, naturally, til I was older. His morphing always fascinated me like his music. His music are landmarks of era’s through my life. I’ve always loved any artist ahead of the times. Multi Aqua here.
