There are three different types of astro, really. There is astrology that is yours personally. Like, if you’re a Sun Sign Capricorn than Pluto will be conjoining your Sun sometime soon, it if it has not already. Sun Sign Gemini…? Not this lifetime sweetie. Those are called transits and they’re to your chart.
Then there are the planetary aspects that take place – i call them Astro-Passages..- like the cosmic weather. You (or, more likely, me) figure out how they influence your life and how to make the most of the astral vibe. eg; Uranus is squaring Pluto.
And then there are the milestones, such as Saturn Return, that happen to everyone. But the thrilling thing is that every time you turn a significant age (eg; one ending in 0) there is an astrological event to go (approximately) with it. The theory is that you get with that astro-milestone for a good time.
They are always happening – they are astrological “milestones” of humanity that we all have, a lifetime of transits.
Everyone knows about the Saturn Return. It’s the turning 30 thing when you get an accountant + dentist and no longer do crazy relationships. For the time being. But there are others! Think about this…
Turning Ten: Near your first Jupiter Return! You’re top dog in primary school or junior college! Your parents may still appear more or less sane, cool and benevolent. Most of your lifestyle needs or existential desires are obtained with relative ease. You’re in Quest Mode.
Turning 20: This is the Nodal Return! The North Node of the Moon goes back to where it was when you were born so it’s destiny to the max. You get a calling! You feel guided and more attuned to it is you are meant to be. Some fateful turns of events whisk certain peeps out of your life and others in. Spiritual but it’s also party central. At peak. you can meet a soulmate a week.
Turning 40: Uranus Opposition: Fuq the steady job, fuq the bourgeois relationship conventions, fuq the linear time crap, fuq whatever is in the way of pure raw awesome. Note also, it is another Node cycle so similar to age 20. Only the ability to slither out at midnight in barely any clothes to some cool venue and still feel welcome is significantly impaired.
Turning 50: Chiron Return: Mega-massive desire to attain an insane degree of Inner Peace, psychological awesome and authenticity. Sagacious to the Max.
Turning 60: Second Saturn Return! Yes, honest-to-Hecate, Saturn Returns just keep on a happening. This is when the classic Saturn themes of teeth-taxes-bones would really start to bite if you did not honor Saturn earlier. More wisdom.
Turning 80: Your Uranus Return! This would be amazing, right? I mean it would have to be better than Saturn Return.
Turning 100: Your 2nd Chiron Return – sagacious maturity to the MAX.
