The Astrology Of Batty Couples

Is there an astrological signature for batty couples?

In 2009 i thought it was Aquarius with Aquarius but now i’m not so sure.

Aqua-Aqua is not a particularly batty pairing as such – it’s just that it’s Aquarius times 2. Or Aquarius squared, whatever. They’re both bats, they mate and voila -uber bats.

But what about the pairings that send each party bats?

I have seen Cancerians incandescent with fury as their Leo partner ordered another bottle of champagne to power up their impending re-enactment of some move scene.

Sagittarians hysterical at being made to sit down just to eatΒ by their non-Saggo lover.

A Capricorn initiating a “financial divorce” so as to still enjoy the excellent “bonding” but none of their compulsive Scorp partner’s debt weirding. Online shopping for cosmetics, vitamins and lingerie whilst under the influence of cocaine? Not recommended, apparently.

A Gemini tearing up her schedule for the week, spreadsheeted and sent to her by the Taurus.

Which Sun Sign pairings have you noted as leading to the battiest couples?

Omg,forgot, my parents, kataka mum, aqua dad..together for over 50 years of driving each other crazy, and having this fairytale romance.
He with 160iq but prefered to work for the council planting trees and being left alone with his secret crazy fantasy world , her with all the kataka / Jewish mothering / guilting and extreme emotional games.
The stories I could tell.

do you find DL that the brightest, most curious & philosophical minds are often attached to people who are engaged in relatively simple pastimes? my theory is that this way, the person is free to think & ponder life, and when it’s time to go home, the job doesn’t come with them.

Except with my Kataka philosophy professor boyfriend, apparently. He can pontificate on the most obscure points for hours on end, so his job does come home with him. He will say at night “It’s time to shut my brain down”, but he never really does.

It’s actually pretty funny watching us when we’re watching a football game – I’ll be shrieking at the TV set when my team stuffs up a play, and he’ll be looking at me bemusedly, saying “Calm blue ocean, calm blue ocean…”

I am with and have been with the same Scorpio for a few years, so no real stories to tell on my end. The battiest pairing ever is that of my parents. Scorpio man and Gemini woman. A real nightmare. He is a brooding type, needing privacy and yet reading all her diaries, hacking her old computer, etc., which she could care less about- but he uses it as blackmail FOREVER. She thinks through it all to the exclusion of an emotional connection, and hates finding his secret bank accounts, endless lives/lies, and his lack of whimsy. I think this… Read more »

Oh no Rosebud, I adore my Aqua’s. My observations with the 2 Aqua El Toro marriages seem a little crazy, both Toros obsessed with lawns and gardens and look of home, also both males right into ‘spare no expense” with self, but not with Aqua wife and kids. Both toro’s unable to see Aqua’s point of view.

Piscean Closed For Renovation

I think aqua is the sign that cops the most shit just for being themselves. their complete detachment, simply as their way of being (like a scorpio brooding or a saggi being genial and reading joseph campbell or something), acts as a mirror or catalyst for everyone else’s neuroses to appear. Like being in solitary confinement or Vipassana, except the partner projects a pile of crap instead of realising that they’re doing it to themselves.

this is my latest theory, i quite like it.

Hi Rosebud,

My fav Aqua, Leo Rising, Pisces Moon girlfriends’ relationship is a corker. She has never sworn in her life – “flippin’ heck” is the worst i have ever heard from her, she has recently met the man of her dreams – A Gemini , and guess what … he has turets (spell check – the random swearing one!), she says it has them both in absolute stitches.

Another lovely Aqua (toro rising) is in a beautiful relationship with a French Cappie fellow…Those two are like salt and pepper, and bring out the best in each other.
Happy Days ! xx

AquaMeg

Hi Rosebud, yes we Aquas are a bit on the absent-mindedness, aren’t we? I’ve found that if I’m not compatible with their rising sign, then there’s trouble. But if the Asc and I are in cahoots, the relationship works out well. Even our Moon signs can be frictiony, but that rising sign has to work. I’m Aqua sun, Virgo moon, Gem rising and married a Pisces sun, Aries moon, Aqua rising. He can meet my weirdness with his own brand of oddities, I am restless enough to keep his Aries moon entertained, and then he can call on those watery… Read more »

Leo (Grandfather) and Piscean (Grandmother),

Hilariousness. I remember my grandfather “commenting” that they had had the same ”sweets” two nights in a row, (homemade apple pie with custard). My Grandmother promtly got up and placed his bowl over his head, and left the room.

They met in the country/bush and Pop would say when she was being stubborn ”Γ should have left you in the bush where i found you”.

They stilled danced/cuddled/kissed/spooned together till my Pops sudden departure.

Haven’t seen the same pairing last with other Leo/Pisceans though.

Also much agree with earlier comments re Aqua’s and El Toro’s. Strange brew.

I.M.

Purely speaking from my own point of view, I would have to go with Kataka (my sign) and Aqua. Whether I’m in a passionate relationship with an Aqua or have an intense crush on one, they bring out the low-Crab in me.

Intense nonsense! Love that. πŸ˜€ Perfect for the inevitable stand off of “I’m going to be moody and sulk and not talk to you because I feel like it” followed shortly afterwards by the “I’m now going to stamp around and vent and insult you for no reason because I feel like it”.

So I know a lovely older Aqua who knew a Scorpio for two weeks, fell in love with him the night she met him, and has BEEN in love with him for 20 yrs straight. She’s legitimately never loved another, but never got with her Scorp because yes, neither one yielded…

Catsmeow

It’s heartbreaking isn’t it?! I think with this combo Scorp will have a habit of getting angry, and Aqua will have a habit of being indifferent to said anger. Which will only anger Scorpio more. I’ve lived with a multi-Aqua for about 21 yrs, so I know how these folk operate. They don’t take things as seriously as the rest of us do. It’s not that they don’t care, they just honestly think that the rest of us are blowing things out of proportion. One of Aqua’s more frustrating traits, I’ll admit. Then they’ll sit there and say that Scorpio’s… Read more »

The Aqua I dated was a bit like that, as mentioned in previous posts. He never wanted to have deep conversations and while I love a good argument or debate he didn’t see the point, so would always agree with whatever I said. Maybe a dream come true for some women, but it drove me batty when there wasn’t any friction or spark and I knew that even if he did have a differing opinion that he would never express it. We Scorps crave confrontation, even if secretly all we yearn for is peace and harmony. But I think inwardly… Read more »

Forgot that a male Aqua I sit next to in Ethics is super excited for debates we have coming up, because he and the guy he’s against are “total opposites.” Personally I’m so stressed out over having to get up in front of a whole class that I’m continuously debating whether or not I should drop the class.

My parents – Cap mother, Pisces father. They’re still together after some 35 years but it’s taken me a long time to realise just how deeply eccentric they are together. Cap-Mum is all about the practical and is in the process of memorising the London CBD map in preparation for an upcoming family holiday (!), not to mention collecting a never-ending arsenal of ‘history factoids’ to keep us entertained as we traipse around. yes i have to agree. i never understand why people see capricorns as staid. they do work very hard but they have truly quirky imaginations combined with an all at once whimsical turn of phrase and a slicing wit. i think pisceans and capricornians have a grand old lark together.

…love the ‘Cypriot-lemon system’! It sounds very serious.

piscesienne
piscesienne

The ‘Cypriot-lemon system’ is indeed very serious – my father does treat his dishwashing as an art form! The system involves rinsing everything, then washing it in a set order (glasses, cutlery, plates) and separating antying that has had egg, fish or meat on it and blasting it with lemon juice. As much as my brother and I tease him about it, we both seem to have inherited that particular dishwashing gene!

And you’re definitely right about the Pisces and Cap having a grand-but-bats lark … they might drive each other nuts but they’re pretty much inseparable!

piscesienne
piscesienne

True about Scorp (based on my extensive empirical evidence of … one sample couple!). My housemate is a Scorp and her boyfriend a Leo, although from memory both have Sagg rising, hence why they work so well together?

That said, they are bats together mainly due to the intensity of both signs. Scorp is all watery-intense and EMOTES at the drop of a hat, where Leo is all fire-intense and, well, Leonic … which pretty much translates to him strutting around the house topless and announcing ‘guess what, bitches?! I am FABULOUS’ as he enters the room.

Been there done that. He was a double Scorpio (low) and was always getting involved with seedy plans of extortion and underworld activities. I nitpicked him to death. He didn’t change he only delved into it deeper. a Virgo cannot nag a person into being good or lawful- ever.

For this virgo/cap, it was an aries/libra that did my head in. And surprisingly, it was her guilt complex that was the most frustrating (the catholic church has a lot to answer for there). She would do one thing, then the she would have an attack of the guilts, and then do the complete opposite. All I wanted was for her to make up her mind what she wanted. Every time I pointed out how this was affecting me, and us, she spat the dummy.

This is so true! I’m taurus and my last three have been aqua. I think the ‘bats’ bit is what keeps it interesting though…although I’d like to point out that I never peed in a bottle.

As the pic was loading and all I could see was the heading, I thought for sure this is a post about Liz Hurley and Shane Warne!

Yep, they are equally unreliable and untrustworthy, the perfect match.

Them, not gems necessarily

Oh, I was just looking it up, and according to wiki, she a Gemini, and he, WTF, a Virgo. What I love the most is the first sentence on Warnie on Wiki literally goes…
Shane Keith Warne (born 13 September 1969) is a former Australian international cricket er widely regarded as one of the greatest bowlers…

the “er” ?? it’s as if Wiki can’t even take him seriously…

Wow . . . now THAT pairing would drive me bats! Not sure that Gems quite get the notion of ‘quiet time’!

That said, my North Node is in Gemini, in the house of pleasure and play, so perhaps it’s a lesson yet to be learned.

Oh yes, don’t fear, Gems can definitely do quiet time, especially if given a task, or a computer game, or an internet connection, or a trilogy of novels – you won’t see them for hours, and oh so peaceful!
Don’t know whether it’s my Virgo but I have great simpatico with Gems and can totally cohabit with them… But maybe that is more my Capricorn as you really can take them anyway… you may have to get them our of there, fast, and earlier than expected… but still, they’re the perfect date.

I agree Lexi gems are excellent house mates.

No dependancy, and usually inclusive if you want to be part of their action.

I lived with a multiple-Gem guy once and we were v. simpatico. Of course it could have been that we both had Libra moons. And it helped that he had been raised by some v. enlightened parents who had, among other things, taught him meditation, which calmed down any zinginess that might have disturbed my Virgo qi πŸ™‚

Shite Lexi, I’m trusting your research; I thought (from where, I dont effing know) that SW (Warnie, err vomit), was a Gem! I’m usually ulltra-reliable re info but atm, please excusie moi as now engulfed in full time dream role and in love (wtf) and realise sometimes some things have to give. I <3 Jupiter into Taurus.
