“There is something pagan in me that I cannot shake off. In short, I deny nothing, but doubt everything.” Lord Byron
Ladies & Gentlemen, for your astrological consideration, Lord Byron – multi-multiple Aquarius…and the world’s best known romantic poet.
The original “mad, bad and dangerous to know” boy, he was renowned for his extreme hotness, genius poetry (he became famous for it at age 19), unbelievable sensual appetites and being brazenly bats.
A vegetarian (way before it was fashionable) he kept a pet bear, was blatantly bisexual, an accomplished boxer + rider who would apparently live for days on dry biscuits and white wine.
At one point he slept in a gondola. He died young from malaria, whilst helping the Greeks fight for independence from the Turks. Everyone with crushes on him and/or involved with the guy went mad with mourning.
The rumours about him and his escapades were relentless: he fuelled them via his seductions, extravagance and alternating between being ultra-charming and hideously moody. He was also a stirrer.
One of his most famous poems – She Walks In Beauty – was written for and about the wife of his cousin, the same night he first saw her. Subtle, yes?
Small point: he was not actually a Lord – he was a Baron. But naturally he loathed society, saying it was made up of “bores and the bored.”
The guy had Sun, Pluto, Venus, Lilith, Saturn and Midheaven conjunct in Aquarius. That’s a LOT of Aqua.
Plus he had Crab Rising and a Mars-Neptune square to boot.
