When Astrology Transits Determine Your Decor

Filed in ASTROLOGY

When astrology transits determine your decor, you know you’re an astro-fiend. But seriously, every transit has its style, as these interpretations show.

It’s so singular that this must be a suitable room for a particular transit but WHICH ONE?

Not a Venus transit. Not a Moon transit.

Mercury Retrograde and you’re sorting out all your books?  Some transits bring trouble and love, but in this case, we are thinking purely of this room and what transit the decor suggests.

Jupiter transit and this is just one of your many crash pads (because Jupiter also made you wealthy) in several cities where you keep your fave philosophy books and have a crib for playing with one of your several thousand close personal “friends?”

Saturn transit and you’re like fuq the curtains because you WANT to be awoken by first light so that you can start spreadsheeting/guilting/weight-lifting?

Neptune transit and you’re just too out of it to buy blinds + you spent all your money on that framed blank canvas because you’d drunk two liters of wine at the opening and it seemed SO resonant + you fancied the fuq out of the artist?  Even though he was on parole and seemed disinterested?

Pluto transit and you need the windows clear to gaze moodily into the inky dark air during your long insomniac nights? The books aren’t yours, and you can’t even read them because they’re in Norwegian because they’re your ex-lovers chemical physics textbooks, but no WAY are you giving them back until he cancels the restraining order?

What do you think?  Have astrology transits ever inspired your decor decisions?

pluto in virgo being squared by saturn in sagitarrius…the #!*@ had hit the fan and you have had it. Purging for a rebirth but keeping it neat. Won’t rid oneself of the books though, too much knowledge there. Leaving this hell hole behind. Actually not far from my house when saturn conjuct my pluto in 2nd house in libra last year. It was a in transit house, so I didnt get hardly any furniture and I tried to not accumulate much stuff. But being in libra, the place wasnt that clean or neat. Being in 2nd house, alot of it… Read more »

You know, rooms may or may not need color; rooms may or may not need art; rooms even may or may not need books (GASP! I can’t believe I just wrote that . . .) but rooms need plants.

Imagine a tall green ficus or bamboo in that corner –notice how the room comes alive.

Haha, I take back my original statement, because this WAS what my bedroom looked like when saturn was sitting on my Virgo moon 3 years ago. Its a saturn transit and the person’s budget has been severely reduced….amongst other things =(

lol. supercrab did buy the most hideous ceramic art wall piece on same pretense as neptune transit theory. I genuinely thought it was found on the side of the road once belonging to k-mart garden section. He wanted to bonk the artist. it came with 2 bookends he has in his room. I thought he made them in primary school pottery class and was holding onto them for cancerian hoard nostalgia collecting purposes but no they were $500 each. The green wall piece was 1,000.

This was my Saturn Return bedroom – I still miss it – who knows what transit I have going on now – the one where you couchsurf indefinitely with an increasing yearning for one’s own space: ie the saturn return bedroom … literally a room, concrete floor, that had room only for a double bed. A literal bed room. No room for books. They were piled like so in the living area. But I did have a beautiful lampshade of wallpaper pinned over a bare lightglobe.

heh your indefinite transit room was my saturn returns bedroom. I think I had about 5 house-keys by the near end. Home was a suitcase

Saturn transit!

The utilitarian grey, the concrete floors, the simple and effective books stacked on top of one another, grey big pillows for when you feel like screaming and to buffer you banging your head against the bare walls, and like you said no curtains, even the blank framed thingy to make room for when the transit is over and you’ll be brimming with insights.

I’d just add one central red comfort cushion on the bed, to remind me I think I still have blood running in my veins during the transit. 🙂

I’m with you – Saturn transit. The grey – because that’s how you feel ie as though the sun’s never going to shine again and you will be forever in this grey fog. And loads of books because deep down you KNOW that it won’t last forever and that if you can just: 1) develop wisdom from what you are going through; and 2) be reminded that others have also been in such a yuk place and gotten through ; and 3) remember that it will end (all of which you get via books) you get the fuel you need… Read more »

Yeah, you can forget that during transits it won’t last forever, but boy oh boy it’s real hard going convincing yourself of that right in the middle of it all, innit? Esp. the more challenging the transit! Although I myself found that I wanted the curtains and blinds *down*!

Take a good look at the edges and corners and covers of the books. See how they mostly look pristine and sadly unread. I have little piles of books in perpetuity. The names change but the pile is permanent. I’m a book whore. I pore ravenously over some. I flirt with and discard others when they bore me. Others sit lonely and neglected in a corner untouched. I love to grab hold of a book and drag it home hoping it will bring me to new heights. It is the thrill of the hunt and the ecstasy of the rare… Read more »

This looks like a Saggitarian transit. The house I lived in with SaggEx (well thatched hut) was similar in that it had no furniture and was messy. When he left it was just like this. He had transited all the way to another house!

Actually, it looks more like a transit van set-up to me. All waiting for the removalists to turn up and pack and shift out in the van because the floor looks wet, the roof’s been leaking. Sorry, feeling a bit frisky this evening! And hey, while I think of it, how do I go about putting “smileys” in posts? And is it “smileys” or “smilies” to be utterly pendantic and nit-picking. it’s not a blank canvas – it’s either

I think there are curtains, they were pulled back and not visible behind the camera. There seems to be a rail up at the ceiling, and the books aren’t jammed against the wall so the floor-ceiling vertical blinds can pass by.

Other than the need for curtains, I love this bedroom except for one thing: not enough books.

OMG! me too! I’ve got Pluto on my ascendent and Saturn on my venus but I think it might be Jupiter trining my moon that has me feeling restless and wanting to move out of my current abode. I’m really curious to see what happens when Uranus in Aries trines my moon as well! I’m finding all my stuff and furniture a real burden and I want to get rid everything except the very basics (bed, sofa, fridge). Mars transit. You hassled your drunken friend, who is currently having a neptune transit, into sending you all their books to your one room bed sit in New York to start the ball rolling on your second-hand book selling money-making scheme. Youre not in the picture, because you’re out haranguing *cough* “spruiking” your idea to any vendor who will listen, and if that doesnt work you’re gonna go door to door or open a market stall.

VS

Seems pretty Saturn and/or Pluto. I had a massive practicality phase in the latter stages of Sag in Pluto, as well as this latest bout of Saturn in Virgo.

Definitely not Neptune. I have all this cap stuff now smack dab on my neptune and all I can say is : disorder, fantasies, excess that doesn’t end badly, and some vivid insights for the first time in about 3 1/2 years.

virgo rising
virgo rising

My first impression is that this is a person in transit …some 4th house influence…someone who has just moved into the above space and not had time to hand the picture, put up curtains, shelve the books. A friend of mine who is very Aquarian moved house a couple of months ago and I was visiting at the time, helping her move cartons, and the place looked just like this before she even moved in…

I keep vacillating between Saturn, Neptune and Pluto transit. Saturn, because the room is pared back to basics, and the stacks of books ordered by genre suggest clarity of thinking and focus. Then Neptune for the excellent reasons Mystic outlined, however I feel that it is too tidy for a Neptune transit bedroom – wouldn’t a Neptune room have a saxophone and scattered reeds/sheet music (and all kinds of other detritus) by the bed rather than neatly arranged books? Mystic’s Pluto description also catches the imagination with its intensity. I have another suggestion though. Could this room represent a Uranus… Read more »

Uranus or Jupiter are totally possible in my mind. Bizarre living arrangements seem like second nature when those planets are involved.

Bluesky

I can see this as a possibility. It’s so “airy.” To the point of seeming like an air hanger/launch pad

Lauren
Lauren

I could see Uranus and this room being a sort of “Transit by Design” competition. This picture is the “before” and the contestant has to spend the night in the room, having all those books (written by varying Aquarian authors and packed with revolutionary thoughts and theories on art, music and cultural history) and an overlooking view of the city (to consider humanity and its place in the world) for inspiration. Then they have one day to design, shop and put together the perfect Uranian-inspired bedroom!

I don’t know, this looks like a promo for a television documentary on When Saturn in Virgo Attacked. It would be complete with people telling their tales in the dark so we couldn’t see their faces, “I was suffocating in folders!” “My wife left me when I came home with 4 complete closet organizers, declared vegan-ism, and sawed off bits of her shoes so she could have optimal heel length. I saw a documentary, they can really ruin your feet.”

…Though the book choices are interesting, I spy with my little eye, The Power of Myth.

applepieskies

Also I would think a Pluto transit would be spent in the library, learning obscure languages which you then mix with old military and esoteric code to form an entirely brand new language so if you HAD to write something down, they’d never know. Because during a Pluto transit, there’s you and there’s everyone else, and “never the twain shall meet.” Also anything above ground feels like you’re living in a glass house. Really can’t see Pluto here.

Lauren

I like that. Yes, Pluto transits should be spent somewhere subterranean. I’m thinking the Batman Cave would be ideal.

I think if it were a Pluto transit and those were books belonging to my ex AND my ex had a restraining order against me, I wouldn’t be benevolent enough to hang on to them. I might keep one, simply because it’s in Norwegian, and Norwegian is such a cool language. Plus I think Norway, the country is Scorpio! All the astro books I have say that Scorpios should visit Norway. So I’d keep one book, but burn all the others in a ritualistic and cleansing bonfire ritual. Or sell them and use the money to buy dark red curtains… Read more »

Meanwhile, this is my Virgo rising/Saggo Moon/Gemini daughter’s spare room whereupon she put me up after running away to Germany…

She was having a Jupiter transit to her IC (Saggo) and had just moved there herself. Of course her beloved books (Gemini/Virgo) were there and things (Virgo) were spit spot (‘cept the ceiling looks rather scary…perhaps some stick on illuminated starry things that glow at night for the Aries?)

What is so interesting about Van Gogh is that his Aries Sun makes absolutely no aspect to anything major in his chart except Chiron, a square.

His Venus and Mars in Pisces, were square Sagg Jupiter.

Moon and Jupiter in Sagg square Neptune and trine Aries Mercury.

Pluto conjunct Mercury. No, doubt his was a vanity thing…Mine was a bit but then a girl has her pride….

I’m thinking that Moon and Jupiter in Sagg square Pisces Neptune and he was disillusioned. I have Moon square Neptune.

Add Mercury and Pluto, (Mercury Aries, Pluto Taurus )Mars and Venus in Pisces conjunct, and he turned all that in on himself and his art.

sorry, was in a rush this am, didn’t mean to be so off the cuff with my comment. Was mainly thinking of the color and style of his work. Brush strokes so Aries – powerful and bold~ I did go take a look and was struck by all the power in the 11th. Tragic that his work was not appreciated by his peers, so obvious looking at the 6th in his chart that it hurt him so deeply. I also agree about the Mars Venus conj in Pisces. Thanks for mentioning it!
