Andej Pejic is a 19 yro Serbo-Australian model who has become renowned for his (a) beauty and (b) major androgyny.

See his Chadwicks model card for an idea of just how diverse his look.

Okay, some thoughts re the astro.

He’s insanely Uranian. I mean, aggressive gender bending is totes Uranus in Aries, non?

Andej is a Virgo. I went w.t.f too. I don’t know what birthtime but his chart reveals – ta-dah – a multiple Leo.

He has got Chiron, Mercury, Venus and Jupiter all tight together in Leo AND interestingly the Venus and Mercury are exact-exact and both retrograde.

I have never thought about Venus Retro in the case of beautiful androgyny before. Does anyone know any ravingly obvious androgyne peeps whose charts we can check out?

Venus in Leo conjunct Mercury naturally wants to show off, act out and be admired. Retrograde, there is a twist.

Pejic has Sun and Mars in Virgo (not conjunct) so he has the natural discrimination et al that makes Virgo the most over-represented sign in fashion; Yes he is a Virgoan Of Fashion.

He’s also got the astro-signature for that generation born late 80s/early 90s: Uranus-Neptune in Capricorn but with the extra zing of Lilith and the North Node there.

Oh and i am thinking that he is Libra Rising OR he has got the whole Uranus-Neptune-Lilith in Cap Rising…

Thoughts please?!

I’ve got a visual of Meryl Streep (who I think is DEVINE!) in Devil Wears Prada. Mind you, she’s no Virgo but maybe the character was a Virgo with some Leo influence 😉

The character of the guy who worked in the art department of the magazine was probably more Virgo 😉 [not the actor – the character]

Hey Herby, I’m here… No THIS cherub is much more like me in CURRENT life. At least me when i was his age. He is a tad prettier tho, must admit. Up until Saturn Return I was all about experimenting with my Femininity. Did the Andro thing as long as my physical appearance allowed for it. Since Saturn Return I am loving playing with masculinity (still with my own pretty boy femmo edge) and loving the comparative butching up. (i still have curly locks to my waist mind you…) I’m not sure what in my chart gave me the androgyny… Read more »

I’m oh so Virgo too and have always enjoyed gender play too. My Virgo is in 12th House though so I’m thinking that maybe Neptune’s to blame. Neptune is in Sagitarius 3rd house not sure whether that has anything to do with it either. In recent months, my mismatched body has caused me a lot of fun. I learned a lot about the sensuality and sexiness that it has during the brief period that I was separated from my wife (no, I didn’t go out and fuq around – but I still did learn 😉 ). Checked the chart of my super andro Aqua – thought for sure that if the retro Venus theory was correct then she would have it – but no! Freaking hilarious going out with her! The number of gay dudes that have hit on her only to have a mental breakdown when they realise she’s a girl is sky high. Classic memory of getting kicked out of a Gold Coast niteclub because someone complained about her being in the women’s toilets – she was willing to offer proof but I think the bouncer was too confused either way! lol

Thanks for sharing your stories here Ms. & Lexi & Herby!! Really wonderful.

My little bro was a very gentle nature while I was very ebullient and I have always found it odd that people treated him more roughly and me more gently?

In raising my boys, though they are very young yet, I try always to accommodate their personality and not focus on gender at all. Nonetheless, while No.1 is obsessed with clothes and accessories, both love their cars. 😉 Really craps me off when my sis denies No.1 something ‘cos he’s a boy’ still..

beautiful!! Interesting Mystic have you ever seen Daniel Lismore? he is capricorn cheek club but good to check for andro too. Male or female, gay, straight, bisexual, transexual, transgendered, homophradite, half and half, bitsa this and that? Who cares in my opinion. One of the fundamental fuck-ups of human society is sex based role modelling – it’s like a genetic caste system that you haven’t got a hope in hell of breaking out from due to cultural inflexibility regarding the arrangement of your sex organs and hormones. … and just as an aside I wish martial arts was mandatory teaching for all people of the feminine persuasion so next time some bullying fuqer tries to take advantage “it” quickly finds that… Read more »

Isn’t gender role casting infuriating? This is one issue that I do not have a sense of humour aboout in anyway shape or form. The fact that western culture still feels it approapriate to denigrate women in the media, in the workplace, in politics is horrific. The fact that I lose out financially, politically, socially – words fail me.

I feel sometimes that being born female in my culture was the first of my endless political acts that my daily life engages me in.

Charles
Charles

I regret to inform you that the LGBT community is usually far more rigid about gender roles than the general populace. AFAB, AMAB, FTM, MTF, GQ, Neutrol, Inter, Pan, Poly, Non, Trans, Twospirit, if you can think of it, they’ve got a rigid definition for it.

I recently discovered I was designated a category “CIS Het Male” which in previous times, used to be called “a man.”

year of the fox
year of the fox

Well the good thing is once everything is all labeled, the most merciful and blessed thing that can happen is that everything can get destroyed and start over again. It’s like that crap that happened to music labeled as “alternative music” in the late 80’s/early 90’s. Soon everybody was labeling themselves in that category to sell more albums to the point that the label lost its meaning.

Lexicorn
Lexicorn

Snigger as we may at the over earnestness of this new CIS terminology but it is offered as an alternative to labeling people NORMAL and hence others ABNORMAL. these are extremely important gestures in turning a glacial tide. Language is power, we have to start somewhere. I’ve no doubt, in time, we will all become less rigid in our approach. And hopefully the people formerly known as normal less arrogant in their privilege.

prowlncrab
prowlncrab

Yeah Lexi the language of change does appear cumbersome on first glance, but it seems to be the only way we humans can process large shifts in the global consciousness.

Herby
Herby

What is CIS terminology? I read it written in lots of places but have no idea what it means …

See – I am in my own little world 😉 It’s lovely over here in the land of ignorance. 😀

Lexicorn
Lexicorn

Yes, it’s not the sexiest sounding terminology is it, LOL.
CIS is the Latin opposite of TRANS,
TRANS = in opposition to
CIS = in line with

So a Cisgendered person’s gender-identity is IN LINE WITH their biological gender. They are a male identifying male, for example.

I hate western cultures denigration of men as much as their denigration of women. I’ve had the benefit of living as both. When I became a man, the biggest thing I noticed was that women and children started to cross the street merely because I was walking along the footpath. They became scared of me. I had never experienced that in a female body and my style didn’t change when my exterior gender did (in fact, I started to dress more conservatively when I first transitioned). And then there’s the thing that infuriates me most: if you are a man… Read more »

Herby of course there are circumstances where the rights of men are trampled upon – and it’s fair to state that these situations should be addressed. I think however what postmod and I are referring to is endemic sex discrimination of females across the board, throughout all cultures and history. In the West it was only recently that women had “rights” granted to them that were enjoyed by everyone else with a penis: the right to vote and inherit, to work, no fault divorce, abortion, equal pay (hmmf!) and basically status as an independant human being beyond the rule of… Read more »

I agree Herby about the childcare thing. used to make me furious (still does). My kid’s father left us when she was 8 months old. I LOVED it when male friends would look after her, and so did she (and, strangely enough, the boys did too, all very cute 20-somethings, not after me at all. they used to have farting competiitions with her!). No you go Herby! Champion the rights of men as strongly as those of women. It’s really very simple. We make so many stupid bullshit decision based on preconceptions of gender, and it just has to stop. We destroy our young men, we denigrate our young women, we ignore the needs of those who feel they are neither. Gender discrimination effects us all every day. It is the most insipid prejudice that exists in every known human culture and our greatest challenge to overcome as people. So keep up the ranting I say!! x

No apologies necessary. I’ve felt the same way about a lot of American media dumbing down men. Especially when it comes to sit-coms and stupid reality shows that present an “average” family where the wife is the only one who is smart and capable and the man is little more than a helpless idiot. Yes! And that’s not to say that there aren’t lazy, bafoonish men out there; but you would never see the reverse situation, the hotty super-smart man paired with a not-too-bright and unattractive woman. If you did she would probably not be married or romantically involved with her, and if she was there would likely be a plot twist where she is transformed from an ugly ducking into a beautiful swan.
