Astro-Decor: Octopus Lights – Which Sign?

Avant Garde tentacle lightingSo, which Sun Sign would appreciate the Octopus Tentacle lighting?  And could they be real tentacles? Some taxidermist drinking gin apres midnight during a bad Neptune transit?

It would creep me out bigtime but the Octopus does have some interesting associations:

“An Octopus has eight legs, which invokes the power of eight while propelling to the depths of the subconscious emotions. It is thus a powerful symbol of transformation. In Cretan art, the octopus represents the mystic centre of the universe and the unfolding of creation.” Signposts

“The shapeless, tentacled octopus, with its suckers and hideous maw, appears particularly horrendous to the human imagination as a denizon of the Underworld and a symbol all the manifold horrors of Hell. The octopus is a symbol of the Great Mother in her terrible, devouring aspect.”

Ariadne’s Clue: A Guide To The Symbols Of Humankind

Hell, gaping Maws, devouring Mothers, Ancient Crete, mystic transformations – they would certainly provide a strong conversation point, if needed.

Signs We Can Absolutely Rule Out As Having The Octopus Tentacle Lights: Aries, Taurus, Cancer/Kataka, Virgo, Libra, Pisces. Your thoughts?

Not for this little gem – the rooms too crowded and busy and all I can think of when I see them is sliiiimy….and gaping maws..shudder. I do like eating them tho! No water here except neptune in scorp… I thought a water sign straight off but the comments above tell a different story..

yeah i instantly thought pisces also…all the pisceans i know, despite whatever’s in the rest of their charts, are seriously strange sea aliens at heart. many limbed. slippery. hard to grasp. and would dig the ‘what the…?’ neptunean quality to this sea lair no?

don’t count pisces out. Yes. My progressed Moon in scorpio says yes too.

didn’t like the red lamps, too scorpionic to me, but the color in walls is absolutely piscean

wouldn’t mind a little bit Johnny Depp in that room, too. Ooh I love those eyes and the gem Puer appearance

My Aqua artist partner draws octopus as a recurring theme. I didn’t think about it much in terms of if I like or don’t until him.. but yes, I like. .
I feel like I would be comfortable with most people who would also be at home in this room.
Even the chinese lanterns look like jellyfish in this setting. Ace.

OMG, i LOVE this. WANT WANT WANT.

but, i am a virgo with a taurus moon and capricorn ascendant. and nearly all the rest is fire.

however, my one water sign is saturn, retrograde, in scorpio. perhaps that is why i am so very attracted to this? no idea. but i do love octopi in all their forms.

Thora, I’m a Virgo with Earth rising – Taurus – and I DIE for this, also.

I also love Octopii. They originally gave us the ink to write all those lists, with, y’know : )

Funnily enough, Saturn in Cancer. In the third house of communications.

lmao

I’m thinking Piscean because of the underwater feel of the room itself. Although to me the ceiling needs to be the floor and the octopus lights are then more like sculpture/ornaments. Very acid trippy/otherworldy/watery vibe then. 😀
