Uranus Retrograde doesn’t mean that the classic unconventional conduct and ingenuity of Uranus goes backward. It sends the weirdness incognito. The God of the Future spends half the year in Retrograde mode so that, in itself is not a big deal.
But the days around Uranus turning Retro or Direct are like a gigantic, super-weird version of Mercury Retrograde. Situations can go spectacularly awry. Omens are writ large, and messages arrive in surreal fashion. It’s Trickster energy.
The trick is figuring out whether your hare-brained (Hare is a Trickster archetype like Coyote) concept is worth honoring. Or if they’re too advanced/unconventional for the time and setting.
Uranus Retrograde operates in sudden surges of instinctual awareness. It’s not a logical or measured process. And it can feel like you’re trying to open a box of lightning. You walk around feeling agitated, impatient with limitations that previously felt comforting. Or, at least tolerable.
If you’re a Uranian type person, you’ll feel this energy like a cosmic storm. You’ll make sudden swerves that confound Muggle friends or family but make brilliant sense in the light of the future.
To walk a Uranus path is to be often alone, or at least unapplauded. By the time your decisions make sense to the mainstream, you’re far ahead.
