Venus is into Taurus!

Pre-Raphalite Helen of Troy - Full Moon

“At this moment my cousin Helen came sailing up, like the long-necked swan she fancied herself to be. She had a distinctive swaying walk and she was exaggerating it. Although mine was the marriage in question, she wanted all the attention for herself. She was as beautiful as usual, indeed more so: she was intolerably beautiful. She was dressed to perfection. Menelaus, her husband, always made sure of that, and he was rich as stink so he could afford it. She tilted her face towards me, looking at me whimsically as if she were flirting. I suspect she used to flirt with her dog, with her mirror, with her comb, with her bedpost. She needed to keep in practice.”

The Penelopiad

VENUS in TAURUS, the sign of her dignity!  That is, she is in one of the signs she rules & thus stronger. Certainly stronger than in Aries where she has tarried since February.  And now the planet of love, money and sexual rapture  moves toward a sensual mid-month conjunction with Mars, her eternal lover. See if over-scorched love scenarios now become more green & organic, with this earth-angelic influence. More Zen? Venus is now in Taurus till early July. It is totally a different atmosphere from all those months of a more martial Venus.

No wonder I had such an affinity to listen to ‘Simply Irresistible’ by Robert Palmer!
Oh! how embarrassing on my part for being so indulgent with my self.. blame it on Venus =D

Just did my Venus return and think the Universe is telling me something! And not about men even though the day of my Return later this month, both Mars and Venus are at 14 Taurus… With the Return, the MC-IC lays ~exactly~ on my natal Nodal Axis, 5th-11th The Venus Return nodal axis is on the chart’s Ac-Dc. In other words, when doing a synastry with the Return to my natal, nodes are on all four corners in Cardinals. Get busy time!! This seems to fit with some of the write ups I’ve read about what is going on astro… Read more »

SP & Mystic – what’s Venus return? does it occur like Saturn return i.e. at a certain Age?

Sweetpea

It depends on the cyclic nature of the planet…This article by Kim Falconer lists them….

Absoulutely true about feeling more earthy abt potential lovers. With feet on the ground and not in the air ( no raunchy pun intended) I can see it in full light and it is not pretty. Ditching tiger/aqua boy/internet sleazebag for zero lovelife. Freedom and saggo moon bring it on.

Umm I have Venus in Taurus, and the fact is I only had to look at the face of DeMorgan’s picture & I already knew who it was by: when I was 14-16 years old I was absolutely OBSESSED with the Pre-Raphaelites. It was just a phase, but a heady one: by the end of it, I possessed 6 beautiful books about my favourite artists of the movement, had read a dozen more, & copied scores of images. I guess that would be my Venus talking? I read the other day that Venus in Taurus tend to have a well-defined,… Read more »

ariel, Will have my Venus Return too. At 14 Taurus. Will be fun to have a new chart to play with…. I don’t know how Venus in Taurus could be narrow though considering there is this whole world to explore! Whomever said that was jealous 😉 as without beauty being made tangible (I have Neptune in 5th house ruled by Libra and it is not easy getting those dreams/ideas out of my head and onto paper sometimes), but without the tangibility of Taurus how could it actually touch us through our senses? Just a thought that hopefully will help me… Read more »

Spent many years (ha wrote tears)doing Men’s Studies, coz i guess the other Women were doing Women’s studies, so i went for the underdog, in my usual way. So i read men’s mind’s by listening to what they DON’T say, it’s really quite easy, just believe the opposite to what they say;) IF questioned, not in normal rapport. Reverse psychology & mirroring their behaviour if a fun approach, unless the hunter gets captured by the game. Choose your Archetypes & keep changing. And it’s a Game. The Game of Life. David will agree with me, that women are much smarter… Read more »

I love you Peg, mens studies..cracks me up. I took the first ‘womens studies’ course offered by UNSW in 1977. Not sure if I was then able to read womens minds, but it sure was nice to be in that ‘nurturing environment’ with so many women to study…hehe.. and I needed so much one on one help from my very caring (and very cute) tutor.

How very interesting honeys! I took women’s studies and got offered by my prof to co-write a feminist book with her. She was raging! And would say things like how marriage is essentially political, etc. etc.

She was an amazing teacher, but I declined as I could see this completely worsening an already unsettling distrust of men (family history). Didn’t think writing volumes about oppression would necessarily help me overcome that…

I will never forget my first visit to the head of womens studies office. I walk in to be confronted by a large shaved headed woman in her 50’s, wearing overalls, smoking a camel, framed by 2 huge posters behind her, one of Mao, the other Stalin, she looked me up and down before explaining that I must understand that making comments like ” but my mother loves cooking” were not appropriate and would lead to failure. As a 17 year old from the Bra’ wearing board shorts and thongs I must have looked a treat to her.

WOW! mystic i must say – what a beautiful picture! U’ have mighty fine taste! When i first saw it i recognized it as Helen of Troy by the 3 gemed crown — in myth venus bestowed it upon her as a gift for her beauty, each of the gems is amber – the tears venus cried for her lover – adionis – that fell into the sea?? am i right is it her?? and then upon reading the inscription im like YES! “I suspect she used to flirt with her dog, with her mirror, with her comb, with her… Read more »

A little mindblowing episode just happened after reading full story of Carradine, then as coming to your site ,methinks, ‘i bet he’s a Saggitarian, go back see DOB & it’s 8 December! Same as me. Then as Full Moon comes up in Sagg, i texted Butch, the Kung Fuing Sherriff, to mention leather & lace (he has a few cute kinks) he replies ‘Babe, anytime you want muscles & lace, just say so’, so i replied ‘so’. Made a joke about Carradine, as in i won’t bring a rope, & hit a tender spot about asking if it was a… Read more »

Hey Pegs, Had a Kung Fuing stint for about six months. Still have the dragon candle he gave me. Wildest we got though was at lunch time in the front seat of the car…he,he. I was thirty four at the time, him 40. He told me a story about how as a make-up artist/hair dresser he was selling coke on the side. The cops came into the salon and handcuffed him. His Kung Fu teacher found out and he said he was so ashamed. He went to prison for two years. Said an angel visited him there and changed his… Read more »

WISH I could remember his bday exactly. But do know he was a double Sun and Moon Cap. Mars in Libra which made him an incureable flirt. I mean it was shameless. But, that dragon man brought me a great gift even if he did eat hot dogs in the cinema and then snore…

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ lol…
