Dr Seuss – Ultra Pisces & Surrealist Genius

Cat in The Hat Surreal

Today is the birthday of Dr Seuss a.k.a. Theodor Geisel...ultra-Pisces & surrealist genius.

He was born bang on a big-time Lunar Eclipse with Mars conjunct Jupiter at Zero degrees Aries (super exuberant and inventive) square Neptune in Cancer (the children’s poet & visionary)…

His Mercury in Aquarius conjunct Saturn (!) sextile Uranus and trine Pluto. That Saturn-Mercury conjunct seems oddly austere for someone so brilliantly playful but consider also his enormous output, professionalism and the longevity of his work, his brand.

My fave Dr Seuss is The Pale Green Pants.

Go Dog Go was actually written by PD Eastman. So much for doing my homework..

I loved “Go Dog Go” where all the dogs are driving to a party in their party hats. There’s a party atop a large tree. I always wanted to go to that party and have that large piece of cake that was illustrated.

One day I realized that I would love to live inside some of my children’s story books. Like “Martha B. Rabbit”. In that book there are fairies and a magical forest…

Why can’t life just be like it is in a story book?

” Oh, the places you’ll go!”, that’s may fave!
” You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself
any direction you choose.
You’re on your own. And you know what you know.
And YOU are the guy who’ll decide where to go.”

No 1 was the best. Found a treasured antique copy so fragile.
The breakiners threw it on the floor OPENED & pages creased!
They sure knew how to hurt my inner child:)

So did I. Bro recently tried to rebuild our collection for his kids – could only get them in the states on a business trip. Just realised, most of my family adore ham and eggs (known as MNX) – probably comes from Sam I Am!

I LOVE reading Fox in Sox – very fast sans mistakes. Agree V-V – from the paddle battle to the noodle eating poodles…….!

My 7 year old son’s fave at the moment is Fox in Sox. and I have to read it FAST!!! which is all good, I rock at the tweetle beetles having a paddle battle in a puddle bits. But the chicks with bricks with clocks that tock all end up with dicks in socks etc etc and my boy just rolls around laughing wanting “the rude bits” over and over!! Great bonding session but I wonder how the yr 2 teacher goes when he asks for the funny bits that you leave out that my mum says Mrs ****
