Conflicted in love? Lust? Beauty policy?

Venus IS in Gemini…So this is considered normal. Imagine actually HAVING Venus in Gemini…Or, ahem, Pisces. Another dual sign.

But back to Venus in Gemini NOW: you could happily tilt between haute and low, positive and gloom-stricken…within nano-seks. Yes, it’s fun.

And note that Mercury – the ruler of Gemini – is Retrograde…SO of course, you are forward & back with a policy change every hour or so.

But you know Mercury is Direct again soon and then Venus in Gemini just, well, she SQUARES URANUS. That should restore “normality” real -quick. Not.

Still, Venus square Uranus (and Saturn) as Mars goes out of shadowzone should at least guarantee some action…even if it is conflicted.

Dec 11 to 2o? Cue festivities. There will be a Jupiter-blessed New Moon in Sagittarius and Venus in saucy Saggo trining (an easy, flowing and blissful aspect) hot-shot Mars in Leo. This is very good energy for fast-tracking romance/flirtations/sex/bonding etc. AND it’s creative, libidinal, good for biz et. Jupiter’s involved, sextiling the Sun and then to finish up Venus squares Uranus…Thrills galore.

The New Moon is like a wow moment to zap us with an unexpected blessing and/or opportunity that can be taken up with alacrity in the New Year — preferably after Mercury goes Direct mid-Jan.

It’s a fantastic few days and then Mars goes Retrograde bats + we’ll be in the Eclipse Zone again…Yes, the Xmas hols feature a Full Moon Eclipse in Kataka. So schedule up your party/art diary for the Venus-Mars positive astro-weirding zone & then hunker down from the 21st.

Venus is in Sagittarius! I LOVE how the vibe seems already a lot less fraught. Venus in Saggo is take-it-or-leave-it so far as love goes. She values experience, the journey, the moment. There is a lover-in-every-port quality to Venus in Sagittarius. You can use this cycle to be a bit more breezy & candid in a relationship or about your love life in general. And a bit of a cosmic catalyst for moribund couplings. I am just getting everyone massage or colonic (lol) vouchers this year so I don’t have to be oozing around department stores/malls with Mars retrograde and toxic couples going completely cuckoo at one another under the tinsel and with beady-eyed, hung-over Santas everywhere.

I nearly typed Saturns there. Not that Saturn would ever be at all beady-eyed or hungover. But it’s a good idea. Why can’t we – instead of out-dated Santas peddling sugar laden naff shit, have Saturns sitting around looking sleek and giving life-coaching tips? The Sun is in Capricorn from Dec 22 for fuq’s sake. SO apt.

Venus in Gemini!

Also over the weekend – Venus glided into Gemini. Let the games begin! Venus in Gemini definitely aerates the romantic atmosphere a bit. It’s been yonks since we have had Venus in an Air sign. Not since September 2008. So enjoy the lightening of vibe.

Between July 22 and 29, the love goddess makes a series of sensational aspects; a square to Saturn, trines to the Auspicious Aqua-Weirding that is ongoing till Feb 2010 and a square to Uranus. This ought to trigger all sorts of interesting carry-on. It will be an interesting “tell” of the Saturn-Uranus opposition exact in Sept. And Mars – in Gemini from July 12 – follows hard on the heels of Venus…

This is one of the reasons why it’s worth going hardcore with all the Capricorny-Saturn in Virgo pragmatic stuff now…because the last week of July is SO Venusian and will be such fun, especially hyped by a big Solar Eclipse.

The Astrology Of Pepe Le Pew

Fantastique! If I had not whizzed to Wikipedia to check Pepe Le Pew’s birth details (for a cartoon character, it is always their first appearance in media & it’s sooo accurate) I would not have known that Johnny Depp drew upon the French skunk for his portrayal of Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean. Hmm.

Anyway, Pepe is known for falling inappropriately (ie; inter-species) in love and making grand gestures that are utterly at odds with the actual reality of the “relationship” in play. I mean, he is a Skunk. But he sees himself as a grand seducer in the classic tradition.

The astro, of course, fits. Get this. He is a Capricorn (ambitious, aspires to the high life and trophy partner) and his Moon is in Libra with Venus in Pisces. So the latter two means he is a natural romantic as well. It’s not just cynical chasing down of a “catch.” Venus in Pisces sextiles Mars in Capricorn so there’s a libido throbbing away there as well BUT the aspects I love of Pepe Le Pew’s are:

* Venus in Pisces Squares Uranus in Gemini – He’s a bit perverse & kinky. He is maybe not so mistaken after all when he goes after cats instead of skunks, his own species.

* Mercury in Saggitarius squares Jupiter in Virgo – This is such a good expression of those grandiose gestures & insane serenades he indulges in. His need for candour is hyped by O.T.T. Jupiter & the Virgoan discrimination is swamped by an overblown Mercury in Sagg.

* Moon conjunct Neptune – the perpetual dreamer. He may have extremely lucid & sensual dreams that break into his everyday reality.

He needs a very creatively fulfilling and involved job so that the fantasy element of his life can be worked out positively rather than by stalking uninterested cats and attempting to hide his true nature with copious amounts of scent.
