Symphony Of Science

YOU may have seen this but i just discovered it & it’s so beautiful for the Chiron-Neptune Conjunction.

Carl Sagan was a multiple conjunct Scorpio:  Mercury, Jupiter, Venus and Sun all in Scorpio AND a tight Mars Neptune conjunction in Virgo. So a mega-haute Neptunian, mining the mysteries of other worlds and alternative dimensions. As some of you know, not every Mars Neptune conjunction manifests so beautifully. In fact, especially in a man, it’s one of THE potentially gaga aspects to watch for. But not here.

Carl Sagan’s Uranus was in late Aries conjunct the Mars of Stephen Hawking (also featured in this clip) which is kinda cool. Hawking has Saturn conjunct Uranus – amazing blend of innovation with structure. V.appropriate for someone creating a whole new structure of science. AND, astro-fiends will find this interesting, Hawking has Moon-Neptune in Virgo.

So two amazing sci-brains with very strong Neptunian signatures all over their charts…Yes Uranus too but Neptune is strong for each of them. I love that. Pragmatic visionaries.

Ralph Fiennes (WHY is it apparently pronounced ‘Rafe?’) always looks SO Cap, does he not?

Cheekbones, classy, composed & comfy in a tux.

Yesterday was his birthday -his Sun is at Zero Degrees Cap. He’s a Solstice baby – sacred to some Celtic tribe for SURE. More interestingly, he’s got a powerhouse conjunction of Mars in late Leo with Pluto & Uranus. And Moon-Venus-Neptune in Scorpio. Holy Aphrodite, the gentleman is libinal. I reckon Mars in Leo for months & months will be sending him wild.  He’s probably going on that boys boat trip Tiger Woods is doing for Saturnalia. Cruising Capricorns.

And yes, he was brill in The English Patient but i hated that movie. I was in a towering rage at what happened to the Kristin Scott Thomas character for weeks.  Never has a movie needed Bruce Willis more. And I don’t like Bruce Willis but he would have sorted that cave shit out for sure. He would have found a jetpack hidden in the stupid desert or something.

It nearly annoyed me as much as the screen adaptation of Cold Mountain – note: I shall say this v.briefly because i tend to rant about it. The character Renee Z played in that movie was supposed to be African-American.

Anyway, watch Ralph as Mars in Leo triggers HIS Mars…

There seem to be two main reactions to the news of TIger Woods apparently relatively rampant infidelity.

(1) Appalled. How could he?! The pretty blonde wife, the kids, another male idol proven to be just a degenerate sleazebucket and this is so sad.

(2) Sporting. These things happen, will she stay or will she go and how much will it cost him? How many more cocktail waitresses are set to come forward?

It’s the same when other high-profile, wealthy men are in similar situations. The women? I’m not sure. Examples?

I actually get annoyed at the moral outrage directed toward peeps like Tiger when there are truly evil characters stalking our world, whose depraved actions on innocents we can read about on a sadly daily basis.

At least Tiger’s exploits were with consenting adults, infuriating & humiliating as it would obviously be for his wife. They’re both Capricorns. She has apparently already requested a seven figure sum to be transferred into her private bank account. If there is a divorce from all this, the figures would be astronomical. Legions of lawyers, journalists and fast-turnaround “biography” writers are already lining up.

Tiger’s astro is interesting.  He has the classic astro-signifier of the world-class sportsman – Mars on his Midheaven. Mars being fighting, sports, martial arts, men and Midheaven being the most important career point of the chart. So people who actually make a spectacular living via their sporting talent and incredible drive tend to  have prominent Mars & Saturn.

His Saturn is square Uranus in Scorpio – any squares to Uranus need an outlet. Think about it – this makes total sense. He’s Saturn-Man, Saturn-Man, Saturn Man. He has Virgo Rising with Saturn all over it. He is a Capricorn. Married to a Capricorn. He trains. He trains some more. He talks with his biz people. He has a lot of media and charity obligations. He trains some more. He eats clean. He is a role model. He trains again. He talks to one of his umpteen coaches about improving  his swing or whatever. He does some more media. He is a husband, a father, a businessman and a professional athlete. He trains some more.

So he is Saturn-Man. And every now and then Uranus in Scorpio comes along and says “look at you bra! You’re hot, you’re wealthy,  you’re cool – bust out a bit man.” Yes, he could maybe do it within his marriage if it were a certain sort of marriage but i am thinking that he gets these sudden urges to go Off-Programme.

Recently,  he’s had Saturn over his Virgo Rising and squaring his Midheaven – not the time to be playing around in secret. He’s also got Pluto churning toward his Sun so maybe subliminally, he has set this all up to bust out of a situation that’s not-so-him anymore. Neptune/Chiron are squaring his Venus at the moment – he’s yearning for something more…Pluto is squaring his Lilith – the Bitch-Goddess and original bad girl of astrology. I reckon there is another lover still to emerge. A Lilith type…Someone that will have peeps who care oh-my-godding for sure.

And Tiger has Uranus about to be on his Dsc – the cusp of his House of Love – sudden changes in relationships, more freedom than before. Uranus won’t get there until April but note how this all stirred up with Uranus Direct.

For the next few days, the Moon in Taurus is squaring practically bloody everything (Mars in Leo + the Auspicious Aqua Weirding) and opposing Venus, ruler of Taurus, in Scorpio – the sign of her “detriment.”

And Uranus is stationing Direct, just to add a mega-Bats tone to all this. Uranus Direct is like a v.strong Mercury Retrograde vibe for a week or so, but with more synchronicity and subtle omens.

The Taurus Moon conflicts mean you don’t get into a war of truculence with someone, steer v.carefully around Taureans, Leos, Aquas and Scorps + try not to get too totally stuck/angry. Stubborn, ego-maniacal and vengeful…? It’s understandable but not the best expression of this astro-weirding.

Tuning into it???

Fab energy for busting out of whatever has been constricting you and you didn’t even notice…until NOW!  Jump that fence and gallop. Sometimes the grass truly IS greener on the other side of the fence. It may even be biodynamic and taste heaps better + there is a gorgeous little creek at the bottom of the pasture.

Venus square Mars can go a little over the top you know.

But it’s FUN.  Especially when Saturn is well out of the picture. Not that we didn’t appreciate that last Venus-Saturn thing. Green tea, pixtering one’s teeth and spreadsheeting CAN be sexy. Sort of.

Venus is square Mars in LEO and she is moving to square the Auspicious Aqua-Weirding. So rad realisations and – for some – really fascinating manifestions of love, lust, true relationship reality et al over the next week.

When Venus is in Scorpio Squaring Mars in Leo, women do well to be inscrutable & way-hard-to-understand let alone GET.  In response, men will not be able to resist showing off, boasting or standing around flexing their muscles…Try this and see. This Venusian-Martian Bats interlude amidst endless Saturn-Pluto-Uranus action is SUCH a relief is it not?

Just a few more hours to go until the New Phoenix Moon (New Moon in Scorpio) & so keep grokking the spooky yet awesome insights…And that primal throbbing is Venus in Scorpio moving to square Mars in Leo.  Of which more tomorrow…Try-try-try to rest in what remains of the Dark Moon…The Venus-Mars thing is hot.

Vintage-Lipstick-Collection

Yes, Saturn is squaring Pluto and it is SO unspeakably existential as referred to below but – as with any Dark Moon – some respite is to be found in primordial sifting, sorting and decluttering. Plus, because this is in Libra, think a la swooping on your beauty cabinet.

The bathroom is symbolically the domain of our Lady Venus – is yours a haven of beauty, harmony & order? Do you have a coherent skincare regime? It need not be something ludicrously o.t.t. Even just fresh new face-washers folded & awaiting your diligence can feel divine. That + you editing and discarding.

Venus – ruler of the Dark Moon – is of course in Scorpio and moving to square Mars + everything in Aquarius & probably some stray crazy asteroids just for good effect. So if a savage purge of potentially bacteria-infested mascaras, serums that on second-thought are stupid and the lipstick museum (clutter with purchase anyone?) don’t do it for you – get into some Scorped up Venusian culling of the evidence of ANY ex.

Okay, it’s tricky when you have darling children with them but I am not talking about that. You can do the old writing-them-a-letter ritual & then  you burn it. Note – i said burn, not send. You can cease hanging on to memorabilia or a symbol of hope that he/she/it may one day re-detour back into your lovely orbit. You can fix the Feng Shui, do a spell or see a Shaman to get the ‘cords’ cut. Mugwort smudged is a fantastic Dark Moonie thing to do.

Just remember: Libra is the sign of Balance & Beauty, Relationships and Tranquil Diplomacy. If you are to embody the latter, at least, use the power of the Dark Moon + Venus in Scorpio…And as it is the Dark of the Moon right before a Phoenix Moon in Scorpio – you may want to look at this Hecate post again.

Note: It is not a fantastic time for a first date nor to buy beauty products/have procedures done that are hard to change back. And that is my understatement du jour.

x14156October 17 was the birthday of Elinor Glyn, sensational writer of clit lit in the early 20th century…She coined the term “it girl” and pioneered bonkbuster fiction…Had seriously scandalous & interesting personal life AND did bloody well for herself…Her Mercury (always the first thing to look at with such successful writers and cultural stirrers) was opposite Neptune…She had a fantastic Grand Air Trine involving: Midheaven in Aquarius trine Sun-Saturn in Libra and Uranus in Gemini…Total sense for someone so unconventional and yet break-thru.

Venus was conjunct Jupiter and the North Node in Scorpio/the 6th house – really apt for a woman who made her fortune by working hard her whole life long about sex & love + expanding the societal possibilities.

Movietone Birthday Appreciation

“Your album has a lot of references to moons, suns, and planets, so is safe to assume you’re into horoscopes?

I am, but in terms of the record, it’s more of an interest in astronomy, magnetics, and the way that planets orbit and have their own paths, as a metaphor for human beings having orbits and crashing into each other– how certain cataclysmic events in your own life set you on a different path and different orbit. It’s a metaphor for science and human beings and how everything seems to have this echo, cycle, and journey.”

From interview with Natasha Khan in Missbehave magazine.

I love Bat 4 Lashes & all the metaphysics, alt-science & surreal refs in her music. She is either a Zero Degrees Scorp or a late Libra Sun (Oct 25 1979) with Moon-Neptune in Saggo,  Mercury-Venus-Uranus in Scorpio squared by Mars in Leo & a wondrous Jupiter-North Node in Virgo conjunction that’s like a homing device for manifesting her most positive destiny in practical ways.

“Regret is an appalling waste of energy; you can’t build on it; it is good only for wallowing in.”

Katherine Mansfield, the writer.

SHE was Libra with her Libran Sun conjunct Uranus (free-thinker, ahead of her time) and a lovely great big gallumping Mars in Saggo Rising + Venus-Mercury in Scorpio… Which if it were being expressed freely, would want to regenerate and could stand to stagnate. That’s just f.y.i.

But is there an astro-signature for regret or not giving a damn?  I always think the Mutables (Gemini, Virgo, Sagg & Pisces) are the LEAST inclined to it – purely because they like to keep things chugging along + they’re kind of amoral, with the poss exception of our Virgo.

And yes I know it was the Saggo Edith Piaf who sang Non, je ne regrette rien (No, i regret nothing) but it always seems like it’s such a lie. Or is that the point?

I’m thinking that a heavy Saturn placement would incline one toward regret?  Hands up who agrees with Katherine Mansfield?
