Things To Do Before The New Moon Eclipse…

Before the New Moon Eclipse on the 15th, you need to go tidy up all the psychic crud & clutter that no doubt emerged with that last Full Moon Eclipse…The Solar Eclipse next Friday is SUCH a favourable fresh start vibe – a super-powered New Moon in Capricorn enhanced by Venus & sextiled by Uranus – that you really don’t want to be grubbed up by ye olde stale emotions, ancient angst, crappy habits & past-use-by-date yearnings…Do you?

Yes to good manners, yes to perspective and yes to civilised conduct but no-no-no, you are not going back & that last Full Moon should have shown you that. This Mercury Retrograde cycle is in Capricorn so keep the nostalgia & ‘analysis’ productive, make it real and scheme for an insanely profound renaissance attitude to go with the New Moon Eclipse.

Happy New Moon Solar Eclipse!  This is totally the pic I am getting on my imaginary panel van. Only I’d like to add in some unicorns & maybe a magic owl with an aura + a Magician, beckoning.

Anyway, here we go into the New…I was doing my books for tax at the time it hit, having a major admin genius revelation, as I had hoped, looked up in wonderment/gratitude and it was exact. Now to improve my punctuation.

And the Nodes of the Moon are now crossing into Capricorn & Cancer – just as they did in November of 1990…Note that around about now you could experience, if you are old enough, eerie little nostalgic pulses from that era…Here is a suitably sooky-goo-goo (for the Moon) memory-bender.

As I have said, this ain’t no ordinary Dark Moon…It is the Dark of the Moon before a New Moon that is a Solar Eclipse & a strong one at that. Because it’s a Cancerian New Moon, think also of Goddess Energy & witchy style insights. It’s near to the old Pagan festival of Minerva & Sulis – goddesses of wisdom & healing, womanly strength et al.

Flash nostalgia that leads to sudden ‘aha’ moments or shifting of perspective is to be expected & super-productive. And yes, good time to unclutter, crap time to charge around acquiring things or starting big ventures…

Are the days of mag headlines/coverlines a la “Must-Haves” or “You’ve Gotta Have It” or “To Die For” gone forever? The word luxury means “of the light” – is it being redefined? Uranus is heading into Aries soon – super D.I.Y. – and the last time Uranus was there, this was written - still SO relevant & inspirational…

* The Sagg Kickboxer says the Fitness Industry, as opposed to most others, is UP 30% this year. Why? People cannot afford to be hungover and non-alert so they relax via endorphins from exercise as opposed to the pub? Survival of the fittest? They are so stressed they need to go and bash up a boxing bag to feel okay?  Guilt/Motivation from Saturn in health-aware Virgo?

* I always knew those Easter Island statues (soz, Rapanui) were hiding something with that inscrutable smirk of theirs. And now it seems that the SOIL on the place harbours a potential life-extension miracle substance which, if it pans out, means that soon 120 will be the new 80. Or something. Will this mean peeps such as Madonna will turn their attention to this area? Would an Easter Island/Rapanui Mud Pack Masque be the go?

I am popping up the road to see a Moon-in-Scorpio Rising client of mine, Abbe May,  perform. This clip below is Eclipse themed, given that the Solar Eclipse on July 22 (the longest and most intense in yonks) is bang on her Cancerian Sun. Again, 29 degrees of Cancer/Kataka is the bit of your chart to be looking at with a major fresh start in mind…Plan to revolutionise there…

I honestly don’t have expensive tastes. I don’t like bling, nor even jewellery. It just feels like clutter on my skin. I don’t drive so don’t covet a Porsche. Etc. But when I do like something, it’s way beyond Price On Application. It’s priceless. And the reason I am linking this into Venus Retrograde is that when Thing Lust strikes me, it tends to be for things i feel i left behind in a past life. So the emo is not really avarice as yearning nostalgia; “give it back.”

The pic sort of fits the astro-vibe of having to glamorously march forward into the new terrain promised by that Solar Eclipse, only now Mercury Direct the whole thing really gets momentum. Mercury Retrograde purists don’t consider Mercury Retro truly over until Mercury gets back to the degree at which it went bats-retro. In this case, 7 degrees Aquarius (near to the degree of the Eclipse) and on Feb 21. But i wouldn’t worry so much about that unless one was was trying to buy something major, sign up for something measurable in years or land a space shuttle.

The week of Feb 14 onward is truly fab & auspicious. But it’s astro-weirding galore in the meantime. Brace thyselves! Another Eclipse, Saturn opposite Uranus & Venus square Pluto are what spring to mind with ease, but there’s more. Work hard, stay positive & see the past as some dodgy, ill-lit swamp that you do not want to linger too long in. See Snow Leopard, above. Moving on in style. Oh and I have just been catching up on the Aquarian Octuplets & that the mother has six other children, no partner, a job in a fertility clinic, a psychology degree and apparently an insatiable desire to breed. I would love to know her birth details…I’m guessing Moon-Uranus?

What To Do On The Dark Moon

I am in Sydney & it’s some sort of a heatwave situation that favours lolling about having amazingly shallow & bimbonic conversations + receiving cryptic text messages from the Uranian.  But ideally, as it is the Dark of the Moon right before a Solar Eclipse, one should be vigorously cleaning, sorting & chucking out whatever is obsolete. Then, a really good space clearing with Tibetan bell thingies, a sage smudge stick & some gorgeous essential oils sprayed about. It’s symbolically clearing the way for new energy, ideas & prosperity in your life. At the very least, clean out some cupboard & re-zoosh your bed so the sheets reek of beautiful ylang-ylang.  Cleaning during the Dark Moon is always therapeutic. Oh and purple flowers to go with the Aquarius vibe, I reckon.
