I LOVE Snakes even though i don’t usually wear jewellery and I checked this out: Price On Application.  But fab cause, yes?

What I REALLY LOVE about this is the name of the collection: The Protector is like a really ancient name for Lilith, the original She-Devil and ye olde Serpent Snake-Goddess, Temptress etc. She protects Pagan knowledge that the Christians and others have tried to destroy forever. Angelina Jolie is Pluto-Moon woman par excellence and she has Venus in Cancer Rising- v.apt energy for a highly emotive & seductive aspiring global nurturer I think.

But still, the very name The Protector – regardless of the design or the greatness of the cause (clearly amazing and humbling) in conjunction with a Snake motif is cheeky…Especially in certain parts of the world (like Mesopotamia and Persia) where they banished deities such as Ishtar and her male God-lover Tammuz (think Venus and Mars for easier reference) in favour of more monolithic, patriarchal Gods.

Snake Dreaming

Okay guys – the Moon is in Aquarius and nearing Jupiter + Neptune.  This is like Lucid Dreaming Central. I am going to try an old thing i read and i CANNOT recall where it comes from…ancient, i suppose.  They say you get a picture of a Snake and ask it a question just before you go to bed. You put the Snake picture under your pillow and voila – the answer by morning or early the next day.  No i don’t know the origin but the Snake has always been credited with wisdom and in some traditions, knowing every secret in the world.  So who is IN???  We do it tonight, check back in the morning.

In Chinese Astrology, the time between 9am and 11am is always the Hour Of The Snake. No matter where you are.  The Snake is probably the most ancient and original ‘familiar’ of the Goddess & is linked with most of them – Lilith too.

The Medusa of myth was originally a Persian Snake Goddess, whose name meant ’sovereign female wisdom.’  Nearly all cultures have bigtime Snake legends – from Adam & Eve to the Aboriginal & African Rainbow Serpent.

The Snake symbolises wisdom, desire, eternity, regeneration and charm/glamour in the most magical senses of those words.

Full Moon in Scorpio:

Los Angeles -21.02 Friday 9

New York -0.02 AM Saturday 9

London – 5.02 AM Saturday 9

Sydney – 14.02 Saturday 9

What to wear for this Full Moon in Scorpio???  Something Gothic & suitably fuq u, I reckon. Or nothing it all because you’re indoors working through some Scorping. Or you just totally IGNORE it & turn your phone off for a few days, do deep Tantric meditation style shit, speed read ancient texts and/or book a marathon therapy session. You have to do SOMETHING to deal with this sort of intense astro-energy & awareness is power.

For instance, if you just decide to pop out for your routine work drinks or do the obligatory thing you think you can just sail through via the Power of Glib, this Moon will clobber you with a sudden spike of intensity or passion. It could be fun – lust – or it could be unpleasant – spite, jealousy or deep realisation that you’d really rather not have chez in-laws.

And, lol, the Moon is sextiled by lovely Dark Moon Lilith, Bitch-Goddess, the first wife of Adam and – some say – the divine embodiment of female rage and/or the Snake who tempted Eve…Who knows what instructive but vaguely unsociable creatures will come crawling out of primordial psyches? This is awesome if you have a suitably Scorpionic outlet for it & btw, a Full Moon in Scorpio sextile Lilith is not BAD, i.m.o. It’s just powerful & revelatory. Empower yourself and don’t be naive about the grottier ways in which this could manifest with less enlightened folks.
