I am sitting here tripping on Voltaren ( i barely ever take pills, am like an arnica & lavender sort of person, so when i DO, I trip) thanks to a condition I am going to call Saturn Neck. I’m doing all sorts of things. My Louise Hay affirmation: I am at peace with life. Saturn Neck (or, as she calls it, ‘neck problems’) have to do with being inflexible. So not being able to turn my head in one direction is making me more aware of the need to see all facets of a situation. Or something.

Important Point: If you have not heard back from me re ANYTHING, it is because it hurts to type for too long so please be patient – t’is not personal.

Now, so me, my Saturn Neck, Voltaren Hit, preservative free Sauv-Blanc & Dark Mooned self have just seen this cover of W magazine:

It looks like “Jen and Gerry” are posing to illustrate “The Shopping Issue” even though we know that is not so.

HE is a Scorpio and SHE is an Aquarius.

I’m seeing it as somehow they’ve ended up in a field outside the country mall (it was a camping trip but she doesn’t like leaving her nails undone for too long) and she is using her Ashtanga Yoga Skills to stay poised and ready to take off the moment he relaxes his Scorpionic grip.

She needs her nails done, she needs a large-skinny-moccachino, she needs a shot of biodynamic wheatgrass, she needs mall shit. AND having to hold her buttocks casually up off his groin and keep that casual leg splay, to show off some advertisers stockings, is making her completely appreciate all her Ashtanga and pelvic floor toning.

He’s trying to convey Man Alone Outside The Mall/Society Scorpionic Hotness but all he can think about is how  his knees are holding up in the pose (they are not) and that this will prompt a ten  hour lecture from “Jen” about Yoga Benefits, that he really needs a fag and that he longs to not only sack his management but publicly humiliate them in some lurid fashion.

Like, he is being quoted in The Economist about the disarmament treaty that he negotiated and he says that his former agent never understood his depths or potential and then the President agrees.

Scorpio Men On Prozac is a new indie film following the lives of several different Scorpio men & boys. They’re not all on Prozac but, judging from the scenes released thus-far, they should be. They were too intense for me to post  up here. Lol, tres Scorp. It’s based on a book of the same title by Rand Marsh who, I am assuming is a Scorpio.

I love the concept. Imagine if it became a whole series: Saggo Men Stoned On Cannabis, Aries Men On Cocaine, Taurus Men On Verdelho etc.

Thoughts? And will you be seeing this movie? Check out the video results to see what I mean about intensity. I mean, really, I didn’t know Scorp guys were THAT bad, Prozac or not.

As  you know, i very rarely into politics and certainly  not into Australian politics as it would surely bore the pants off those viewers from elsewhere. But today, I cannot resist and I thought some of you might like a forum to rave on about this morning’s political events. Please be nice and explain to peeps from elsewhere who jump in what is going on…

Bimbonic thoughts re this:  Malcolm Turnbull and Tony Abbott are both Scorpios. So Malcolm got Scorped by a fellow Scorp.  Kevin Rudd – the Virgo Prime Minister – is now in for a massive bingle with Abbot the Scorpio. Rudd has Moon in Aries. Abbott has his in Leo. Weirdly enough, they are very compatible. Kevin’s Venus is RIGHT on Tony Abbott’s Mars. If they were both gay, they would be ON. They’re born but a few months apart and actually v.similar in many ways. They both remind me a bit of mad monks but I am not sure why.

“The birthdate of the fictional character of James Bond 007, according to John Pearson in James Bond, the Authorized Biography of 007 is 11th November , 1920.”

And still, he looks So Hot for a guy who is 89!

So he has Sun, Moon (an Eclipse) Node and Mercury (retrograde) in Scorpio. Venus in Sagg so he’s drawn to the sexy, emancipated, globe-trotting untameable types BUT he’s got Mars in controlling Capricorn so he wants to tame them.  I LOVE the astro of fictional characters.

And as this Nerve mag article makes clear, Casino Royale is mega-Scorpionic.

“If you’ve never read a Bond novel, Casino Royale is something of a shock. For a start, Bond is more psychologically complex, almost sociopathic, than the one-dimensional version of the movies. He appears to harbor rape fantasies towards women, suggesting demons in his closet. In an early chapter we are casually informed that Bond “lit his seventieth cigarette of the day,” shortly before taking a cold shower and slipping into bed, where “his features relapsed into a taciturn mask, ironical, brutal, and cold.” He smokes, he drinks, he takes cold showers! This is old school Bond, a million miles from the fussy figure he has become on screen. Forewarned that he is going to be saddled with a female accomplice, he is appalled: “Women were for recreation. On a job, they got in the way and fogged things up with sex and hurt feelings and all the emotional baggage they carried around.” Inevitably the woman is bad news; his attempt to save her leads to a remarkably candid torture scene, in which Bond is forced to strip and have his genitals brutalized until he loses consciousness. The message could hardly be clearer: women rob men of their power.”

Good old indomitable Pagan Gauls Asterix, Obelix and their batty druid Getafix & guess what? Asterix and Obelix have an official birthday – given them by their creators Rene Goscinny & Albert Uderzo. It is October 29 1959…

This means the boys are multiple conjunct Scorps!  Sun, Mercury, Mars, Neptune and the South Node all together in Scorpio.  Their Venus in Virgo squares Jupiter in Saggo & the Jupiter trines Uranus in Leo. Sooo very fussy re women and the urge to wander (Jupiter in Saggo) conflicts with a possibly already fairly weak urge to mate.  Saturn in Capricorn represents a grounding/mentoring senex character in their life (The Druid and his magic potion) which they would need, as Mars-Neptune-Sun etc in Scorp would love a punch-up and to be eternally free.

Coraline, The Graphic Novel version.

I got this for my 8 y.o. daughter – her Moon in Scorp loves the macabre & Goth end of things but the actual novel too much, I thought. She liked it heaps but i adored it.  It is dense & immersive, a thought-provoking thriller that is amazingly moving. And it’s basically a comic book!

Neil Gaiman is fantastic – Sun, Neptune & Mercury all together in Scorpio squared by Uranus in Leo. So dark, other-worldly, classic sci-fantasy but with a big glam Leo-Uranian quirky flair to it.

I think Sci-Fantasy is going to be big during Pluto in Capricorn – if we’re all going to be working hard and cultivating our kitchen gardens aka Victory Gardens, eating out less & tra-la-la, then nobody is going to want to read depressing-but-worthy prize winning tomes on dysfunctional families & what-not. We’ll want swords, sorcery & people using their wits & ingenuity to overcome scary circumstances.

440px-scorpiokeyMarvel Comics Hero – Scorpio, a.k.a. Jacob Fury

He sounds utterly, hopelessly Scorp. His background a series of constant deaths & rebirths. Something happens early on in life to Scorpios (or peeps with powerful Pluto placements) that opens another dimension. Plutonians and Scorps are mega-aware of sex, power & metaphysics – hence their renowned intensity.

“….Weapons
As Scorpio, he used a pair of wrist sprayers which spray a neuro-toxin to stun opponents as well as conventional weaponry…”

There is also a really fab sounding Zodiac Key & yet I wonder how they would style the superhero known as – say – Leo…?  Scorpio is the most obvious archetype to draw on when creating superheroes; dark past that somehow motivates them to devote life to saving humanity or similar grandiose goal & a penchant for mystery, cloaks, veils, body armour and fetish spandex.

Where-ever in your chart you have Scorpio (or Pluto if it is strongly enough placed) is where you will ruthlessly regenerate. There will also often be secrets associated with that sector of your chart as well. Real secrets.

The Tom Cruise movie of Valkyrie is, as I am sure you know, based on the German aristocrat Claus Von Stauffenberg, who was executed for conspiring to assasinate Hitler. He was amazingly brave & committed + apparently highly charismatic…I got a huge crush on him when studying the story at high school. This is from the Wiki…

“…Stauffenberg was aware that by German law he was about to commit high treason. He openly told young conspirator Axel von dem Bussche late 1943: “Gehen wir in medias res, ich betreibe mit allen mir zur Verfügung stehenden Mitteln den Hochverrat…” (“Let’s be blunt, I am committing high treason with all my might and means….”).[12] He justified his project to Bussche by reference to the right under natural law (“Naturrecht”) to defend millions of people’s lives from the criminal aggressions of Hitler (“Nothilfe”).

From the beginning of September 1943 until 21 July 1944, Claus von Stauffenberg was the driving force behind the plot. His resolve, his organizational abilities, and his radical revolutionary approach put an end to inactivity caused by doubts and long discussions on hitherto military virtues made obsolete or not by Hitler’s behavior….”

His chart (November 15 1907) is fascinating.

He is a Scorpio with his Sun conjunct Mercury trined by Saturn in Pisces and squared by Mars in idealistic Aquarius. Saturn squares Pluto in Gemini which trines the Mars.

And – get this O Astro-Fiends – Von Stauffenberg had Uranus conjunct the South Node and Neptune conjunct the North Node, in Cancer. Even when it became apparent that the plot would likely fail and all involved be executed, he cared desperately that the world know not all Germans supported the Nazi regime. He loved his mother country.

It’s the Dark Moon in Scorpio! So the astro-atmosphere is spooked up, intense, ruthless & with a subtle sexy edge of paranoia. Very good day for scheming, having insights to do with sex/power + dabbling in the occult. Martial arts also. Whatever you’re doing, you’re intense about. But it’s a Dark Moon so brill for fast-processing (Scorp-style) of ye olde merde. What would a Scorp do?  Send a quick note scribbled in blood and by Carrier-Bat???  Turn off his/her phone and refuse to speak to anyone until after next Monday’s Eclipse-New Moon???   Note that peeps are intransigent and suspicious today. If you know anyone who already has those tendencies, don’t bug them.

And speaking of Scorps, above is one of my fave Scorpios and definitely fave actor - Joaquin Phoenix. I think he does completely brilliant work in every film he has ever done. I adore him. Even in Signs which was otherwise abysmal, i.m.o.  But lately, he has forsworn acting and altered his looks quite radically a la this Daily Mail article here & one has to wonder WHAT is Mr Phoenix doing astrologically???

There appears to be no birthtime for him but he’s got an ultra depth-psyched & charismatic Sun, Venus and Mars all together in Scorpio. And close by but in Libra, he has Uranus and Mercury. They’re all in the Via Combusta a.k.a. the Fiery Way, considered malefic by ye olde astrologers but it certainly makes him potent & magic, i.m.o.

Plus my Moon is there so no-way am i going to go all ancient on this being scary…ANYWAY – Joaquin is amazing but without a birthtime, the only major transit i can spot here is that he has Pluto moving to square his Aries Moon. And so that is someone who increasingly will not tolerate anything that is not totally emotionally resonant with his true self, will not do faux anything for even half a second & needs absolute autonomy.

It does not say a thing an in any of my astro books about causing one to grow a huge beard to hide a handsome face. Oh well.

Oh and here is a story about how he debuted his new career as a rapper last Friday.
