Farewell Saturn in Virgo but of course, we will see Saturn back there again in 2010. Hence the importance of having done one’s Saturn Thru Virgo review…If  you are a devout Saturn tracker – and frankly, you ought to be if you have anything significant in the later degrees of a Mutable sign (Gemini, Pisces, Virgo, Saggo) – then Saturn retrogrades back into Virgo in April 2010 and covers the same territory as it between early October 2009 and now. Then it finishes up in Virgo for 30 years in July 2010.

So April-July 2010 is when the undone/unacknowledged tasks of October come back to, um, see you. I was going to use the word haunt and a really spooked up metaphor but i decided against it. Perhaps see it more as a revision test. But this is why it’s a good idea to absolutely grok all of October’s Saturn issues. They will seem to ease radically but don’t slide back into pre-Saturn-in-Virgo complacency.

Wannabe Leo-Tamers, get a grip!

I don’t think many of you realise  how the transit of Saturn (from August 2005 to September 2007) chastened our Leo…Saturn in Virgo hasn’t done nearly the same amount of ego-dinging to our Virgo because they LIKE being encouraged to get into shape. 2am shredding and filing orgies don’t phase them. Whereas a Leo thinks he/she should only be up at 2am if they are prancing in the moonlight to Rhapsody In Blue, in first class en route to open some fashion week, at the most fabulous party or receiving declarations of lust/admiration/adoration from someone suitably HOT and preferably FAMOUS.

So Leo was chastened. But from October 17 to early June in 2010, Leos are gonna make up for all that. Mars has not been in Leo this long since 1970 or something…I had it previously on the blog…Ages, at any rate. So, if you’re in love with or otherwise enmashed with a Leo, recognise that his/her ego, ambition, libido, creative urges, performance artiness and energy is soon going to be magnified ten fold. And anything other than abject devotion and 24-7 “support” will be deemed a betrayal.

Oh happy days of Saturn in Virgo.

Leaving aside some of the more trad malefic angles, let’s just roll with the concept of Saturn as Great Teacher for a nano. And of course, Saturn in Virgo is particularly preachy. The current phase of Saturn has been going on (and on and on) since September 21 2008. And we get into a new Saturnine lesson in mid-August. But for  now, have a think re what you have learned, the real-life wisdom you have won hard and  how you have evolved since that last September.

Seriously, work it out. I guarantee it is way more than you’d imagine at first – but you have probably been too busy doing all the slog figuring things out & battling away to think about  how far you’ve come. Like – this is a hoary old Saturn metaphor, I know – when you are climbing a mountain or a huge hill and don’t notice how high you’ve got as you are too busy pushing yourself.

Jupiter ( the groovier teacher) is stationing retro this weekend & any planet is always more powerful at this point so it’s a good moment to actually warmly & benevolently assess the progress made between last Sept & now. Track it & be amazed…And if you are currently flippo over the non-stop Saturn-lesson, clock-watching et al, think of the New Moon in Leo on August 20 as  your spectacular breakaway moment.
