Self Actualizing Trait Number Eight:

“Maslow observed that self-actualizing individuals commonly had what he called peak experiences (also termed ‘oceanic feeling’). This term refers to moments of intense excitement and high tension as well as to those of relaxation, peacefulness, blissfulness and stillness. Representing the most ecstatic moments of life, such occurrences usually come from love and sexual climax, bursts of creativity, insight, discovery and fusion with nature. These people can ‘turn on’ without artificial stimulants. Just being alive turns them on.”

This, ladies & gentleman, is Bret Michaels, lead singer of Poison and no, I am not linking to the band’s website because it keeps crashing my browser. And this picture was taken just the other day. Yes, he is a Piscean.

Note the Piscean Male’s fabulous ability to stay cool in any surroundings, stick to his spiritual regime (which could be anything from meditation to getting totally wasted most nights or both) no matter what the surroundings and transcend/subvert any dominant paradigm without even trying.

The Piscean Male not only tends to look youthful for his age, he IS youthful for his age. Age – nor maturity, nor taxes, nor irate ex-lovers, shall not weary him. As for the infinite variety, absolutely. I often think they prefer their partners to be taken by other peeps so that they can score the pleasurable combo of intensity, poetry, gratitude and zilch chance of having to be in an actual relationship that would cut into their ZZ;  Zen-Zone.

Hmmm. Well this is part of a new collection called Plato’s Atlantis, which immediately makes me think of some fabulous poetry & the enthralling idea of what constituted chic in ancient Atlantis. I personally do not think Plato would have cared for these shoes.

So they are studded with turquoise – the Sagittarian gemstone but would a Saggo appreciate shoes so difficult to run in?  There is some glitter in the mix which makes me think Pisces or Virgo trying to glitz up the greige.  Serious F-U heels is tres Scorp. Could this be Lower Gemini? As in something Delia Antwerp Aaars would wear – very, VERY difficult to drink in, i would imagine. You would have to retain serious focus whilst wearing these things. It would be easier to imagine that you are landing a space shuttle, as opposed to forgetting yourself and trotting off down the stairs to the loo whilst trying to yell an inappropriate anecdote. Libra would find them unbalanced as hell. They would send my Virgoan Osteopath into politics, all the better to get them banned. The designer himself is a Piscean.

I am thinking only La Leo would have the requisite combo of nerve, batso chutzpah, status awareness and aplomb to pull these on. Your Thoughts?

Pisces is not just symbolised by the Fish. It is the Twin Fish.  So it’s a dual sign just like our Gemini. But what if the Fish are imbalanced? What if one half of the Pisces is like a killer whale and the other bit  a sprat?  Or the Pisces over does the spiritual consciousness bit and can’t come back to Earth? Or tries to deaden his/her soulful yearnings & over compensates with ‘earthing’ activity. Some peeps say that one Fish swims up heavenward and the other downward in the general direction of Hell. I don’t actually believe that. But it’s true that Pisceans and the part of your chart where YOU have Pisces is where you generally experience highs & lows + super-cosmic weirding until you balance the thing out.

Luis Bunuel

Let me clarify the query: You are having a Seance & have somehow managed to be assured of a top-notch guest list. The presence of ONE passed on A-lister is guaranteed…Whom would you choose???  Mine would be the surrealist writer & film director Luis Bunuel. His autobiography My Last Sigh is one of my all-time fave reads.

He was Sun Sign Pisces with Neptune Rising in Gemini. Neptune Rising or otherwise prominent is so often found in the charts of great & influential cinema luminaries. It is also the astro-signature of a mystical and artistic calling. His Mercury in Pisces squared Pluto in Gemini; hence ability & compulsion to go sex-death-occult muckraking in a way that revolutionised movies. Uranus, Jupiter and North Node conjunct in Saggo/6th House. So, 6th House being what you do for ‘a living’ and to serve society he was destined to innovate it somewhat. If one is gonna get all karma-goo-goo over this, his 12th House South Node would indicate a sage who had reincarnated with the specific purpose of advancing society. His Mars in Aquarius (more iconclasm) is conjunct the Midheaven (drive to fame) and trine Neptune (he liked to get out of it but productively so)…

In April 2011 Neptune crosses Luis Bunuel’s Midheaven and what’s the bet there will be some interesting secrets or new work of his discovered?

Anyway, whom would YOU invite?

I don’t really know much about Lord Snowdon but this rather racey review does sound tres Piscean…

He had Sun/Venus in Pisces trine Pluto too….

“…Tony has a horror of the intellect too, is tone deaf, and doesn’t read books.
(Princess) Margaret did read and he secretly slipped lists into the pages, for her suddenly to find, of “things I hate about you”.
The rest of the book continues the theme: Tony getting his rocks off with extraordinary, naive panache.
How did he do it? He’s a free spirit and good in bed. And how did he get away with it? Charm – which, after his royal marriage, became charisma.
He had the gift of intimacy and, furthermore, masking the ruthless vanity, there was his shyness. He was terrified, for example, of public speaking….”

God, I know i blogged about Barbie Doll turning 50 & her Chiron Return recently but really, who cares? I’m sick of hearing about it now. Especially as it’s just become an excuse to push you-gotta-have-it-or-die fashion.  But Fabio is turning 50. Go Fabio ! He is an Italian model best known for being the world’s most in-work cover-model for romance novels & later, guest starrer on soapies et al and he is 50 on March 15. He has 200 motorcycles, is still single and is a health devotee who loves fruit salads made from various berries. Sun in Pisces, Moon in Taurus and Uranus in Leo rising…still rocking the hair even today. Though the last i heard of him in the news was a few years ago; an altercation with George Clooney in a bar.
