multiple conjunct Scorpio

So the world’s first live televised pap smear has taken place, starring US comedian Kathy Griffin and how J.G. Ballard (the late Scorpio Surrealist) would have loved this. If you haven’t read his books, they’re all about strange dystopias and television becoming ever more invasive/surreal.

Anyway, Kathy G herself is a multiple conjunct Scorpio…She has Sun, Mercury and Neptune in Scorpio – tres apt for being papped by the pool, yes?

And her Venus is in Sagittarius – adding a perfect exhibitionist theme.  It was, of course, for a good cause, to encourage more females to get regular pap smears and thus prevent illness. I think if we could all get it done poolside & with hair and make-up added in, it would help the cause heaps.

And yes, a lot of people I have known with Venus in Saggo have been streakers. Or had interesting thoughts about exhibitionism even if they dared not act on them. Being arrested for public nudity could technically interfere with their travel/running for politics plans. But they would if they could.

Two Questions:

What IS it with her wearing a sports top but those insane heels????

Joaquin Phoenix is a Scorpio and you would think there must be some male health issue he would be keen to raise awareness of, yes?  Only HIS Venus is in Scorpio…no poolside lounging about flashing for good causes for secretive Scorp Venus.

Symphony Of Science

YOU may have seen this but i just discovered it & it’s so beautiful for the Chiron-Neptune Conjunction.

Carl Sagan was a multiple conjunct Scorpio:  Mercury, Jupiter, Venus and Sun all in Scorpio AND a tight Mars Neptune conjunction in Virgo. So a mega-haute Neptunian, mining the mysteries of other worlds and alternative dimensions. As some of you know, not every Mars Neptune conjunction manifests so beautifully. In fact, especially in a man, it’s one of THE potentially gaga aspects to watch for. But not here.

Carl Sagan’s Uranus was in late Aries conjunct the Mars of Stephen Hawking (also featured in this clip) which is kinda cool. Hawking has Saturn conjunct Uranus – amazing blend of innovation with structure. V.appropriate for someone creating a whole new structure of science. AND, astro-fiends will find this interesting, Hawking has Moon-Neptune in Virgo.

So two amazing sci-brains with very strong Neptunian signatures all over their charts…Yes Uranus too but Neptune is strong for each of them. I love that. Pragmatic visionaries.

January Jones Harpers Bazaar - June 2009 Uk (1)

Yes, Mad Men‘s  January Jones was born in January, a triple Capricorn, in fact: Sun, Venus and Juno. Note cheekbones, glacial cool vibe et al. I’d think Aries Rising, from her brows alone. She’s named after January Wayne, a character in Jacqueline Susann’s Once Is Not Enough.  Had the parents read it (?!), one wanders.

Anyway, two things. I read in a magazine at a cafe that she has the word “bellatrix” (Latin for female warrior) white-inked onto her wrist. I love that. So annoying now that when i go to google bellatrix i get only the Harry Potter character and an infusion of Helena Bonham Carter.

Second thing; January Jones’ chart is an interesting illo of astrology; Triple Cap, as I said and with Uranus, Vesta, Pallas-Athene and Moon all in Scorpio – very good for playing a woman with a lot of burning interior material.  A big vengeful too. Note how she bided her time and then slagged her ex (Ashton Kutcher, Aqua man to the max) to the greatest effect and had his “lack of support” widely reported.

But her breakthrough role as Betty Draper and increasing prominence has coincided with two astrological transits:  Jupiter on her Part Of Fortune AND Pluto opposite her natal Jupiter.  Anything with Pluto and Jupiter involved has the potential to be what i call a ‘mogul transit’ – even if it is a so-called hard aspect.

And we were going on about the Part of Fortune & luck etc just the  other day!

Good old indomitable Pagan Gauls Asterix, Obelix and their batty druid Getafix & guess what? Asterix and Obelix have an official birthday – given them by their creators Rene Goscinny & Albert Uderzo. It is October 29 1959…

This means the boys are multiple conjunct Scorps!  Sun, Mercury, Mars, Neptune and the South Node all together in Scorpio.  Their Venus in Virgo squares Jupiter in Saggo & the Jupiter trines Uranus in Leo. Sooo very fussy re women and the urge to wander (Jupiter in Saggo) conflicts with a possibly already fairly weak urge to mate.  Saturn in Capricorn represents a grounding/mentoring senex character in their life (The Druid and his magic potion) which they would need, as Mars-Neptune-Sun etc in Scorp would love a punch-up and to be eternally free.

I  love Demi Moore & actually have for yonks but how hard would it be for her Virgo-Mooned Leo Daughter Rumer Willis to have a birthday party during which her Multiple Scorpio Mum (Sun, Venus, Mercury and Neptune all really close together in Scorpio PLUS Demi has Pisces Rising with Uranus transitting over it so she is going to get weirder soon and with pleasure) insists upon shouting her shared lap dancers in public, papped by arrangement and Scorp-Mom looks eerily younger. Then again, imagine what you could learn from Demi — all those Scorp planets are in the 8th house even.

It’s the Dark Moon in Scorpio! So the astro-atmosphere is spooked up, intense, ruthless & with a subtle sexy edge of paranoia. Very good day for scheming, having insights to do with sex/power + dabbling in the occult. Martial arts also. Whatever you’re doing, you’re intense about. But it’s a Dark Moon so brill for fast-processing (Scorp-style) of ye olde merde.

What would a Scorp do?  Send a quick note scribbled in blood and by Carrier-Bat???  Turn off his/her phone and refuse to speak to anyone until after next Monday’s Eclipse-New Moon???   Note that peeps are intransigent and suspicious today. If you know anyone who already has those tendencies, don’t bug them.

And speaking of Scorps, above is one of my fave Scorpios and definitely fave actor - Joaquin Phoenix. I think he does completely brilliant work in every film he has ever done. I adore him. Even in Signs which was otherwise abysmal, i.m.o.  But lately, he has forsworn acting and altered his looks quite radically a la this Daily Mail article here & one has to wonder WHAT is Mr Phoenix doing astrologically???

There appears to be no birthtime for him but he’s got an ultra depth-psyched & charismatic Sun, Venus and Mars all together in Scorpio. And close by but in Libra, he has Uranus and Mercury. They’re all in the Via Combusta a.k.a. the Fiery Way, considered malefic by ye olde astrologers but it certainly makes him potent & magic, i.m.o.

Plus my Moon is there so no-way am i going to go all ancient on this being scary…ANYWAY – Joaquin is amazing but without a birthtime, the only major transit i can spot here is that he has Pluto moving to square his Aries Moon. And so that is someone who increasingly will not tolerate anything that is not totally emotionally resonant with his true self, will not do faux anything for even half a second & needs absolute autonomy.

It does not say a thing an in any of my astro books about causing one to grow a huge beard to hide a handsome face. Oh well.

Oh and here is a story about how he debuted his new career as a rapper last Friday.
