The Sun is in Aries & giving an advance taste of conditions that will be rife mid-year, when Uranus gets to the same point. Between now and then, loads of endings and loads of fresh beginnings.
Today the Moon is in Gemini & the combo of that with the Sun/Venus/Mercury in Aries means don’t drone on and ON for fuqs sake.
There’s also lots of Saturn action, tempering the Fire sign emphasis with some steely self-discipline.

God, how hellish is Haiti? Obviously we are all sad about it and doing what we can to help, be it personally, via our government or both but if you are interested at all in the astrology of it, Eric Francis has a really good thing on it.
I actually hate looking at the astrology of when-shit-happens as it’s then too easy to become fearful & basically one would end up gibbering under the bed with some garlic & rose quartz everytime Saturn crept to within a nano-metre of Pluto or whatever. So I found Christopher Hitchens Slate article useful and fascinating. Hitchens is SUCH a total Aries bigmouth but a fantastic intellect: Sun-Mercury-Venus-Mars all tight together in Aries.
My astro thoughts on Haiti, for what it’s worth are v.simple. Given that it’s essentially a Saturn-Pluto square event & September 11 was a Saturn-Pluto event (then they were in opposition – now Saturn is squaring Pluto – it’s all part of a huge cycle that began with the Saturn-Pluto conjunction when Israel was created as a nation in the middle East) then you would have to think that beyond the hideous plight of the Haitian people & all the horror, is a further geopolitical crisis, lest the place sink into violent, evil anarchy & thus become home to some depravity which could expand outward seriously fuq with civilisation. eg; terrorist state etc.
SEE! This is why i don’t do astro-politics, even though people such as Eric Francis (above) do it so well and I admire them. Now I am freaking out. And I have so much invested in believing this Saturn-Pluto situation will be ultimately GOOD. And i truly do believe that. eg; that somehow the banking system and whatever it’s called when a third of the world are really fat and a third are starving will be fixed. Civilisation, liberty & equity for all.

He appalls me but i am also sort of in awe at his gall. Why now? Well, my Handsome Piscean Ex (HEX) whom i rarely see as he lives interstate & is married, has become enthralled to this damned guy. He tried a few of the stupid, patented pick-up moves on me until finally i said “have you been reading that f**King stupid book?” He admitted it. He thinks the guy is a genius. It’s not about finding love or having a relationship – it’s like a whole separate lifestyle concept.
Anyway, HEX didn’t pick up that night. He fell asleep on my couch, bitching about feminism mid-sentence when he fell asleep. But i vowed to check out the astro-data for Mr Strauss. Just now i found his birthday. It’s hard to get as he bullshits about it but one of his frenemies in the “seduction community” outted him turning 40.
I mean, look at ANY of those links and tell me he is not a nervy piece of work. How the hell can someone proclaim themselves the world’s greatest pick-up artist and survivalist expert?
Guys, he is a MULTIPLE CONJUNCT ARIES: Sun, Mercury, Venus & Saturn – that’s a lot. Moon maybe in Libra or Scorpio. He has Jupiter with Pluto – which IS the mogul indicator. He has taken a fairly yicky premise and made shitloads from it. He’s clearly a great $$ operator. And he’s got Uranus conjunct South Node at 1 Libra. WHICH means that he should actually have some kind of genius insight to offer society when Saturn crosses over it in Nov/Dec. Plus Pluto is squaring it. And then again in late 2010. But what? I reckon maybe he’ll run for politics, lol.
But yes, self-proclaimed Expert in both Survival & Seduction is SO Aries Man and he’s full of it. Aries planets, I mean.
Also, is this just me, but do the fingerless lace gloves worn the lady in the picture above signify that she may be on the clock rather than someone pulled via his stunning expertise? God, I am SO PMT.

It is the birthday of the mythologist Joseph Campbell, the gentleman who coined the term ‘follow your bliss’ and wrote some fantastic books, inspired shitloads of people & with dazzling Aries chutzpah, makes metaphysics fun. He’s Sun, Mercury, Jupiter & Mars all in Aries and trine Uranus in Saggo opposite Pluto in Gemini. Who says hard aspects between Uranus and Pluto can’t be FANTASTIC.
