treadmill-desk_yULmo_65It’’s probably just a Mars in Virgo thing but I actually WANT this contraption.

I think it would be good to have sidebars in case one got carried away gazing at the computer and forgot about the treadmill. It happens even with stupid television shows at the gym.

But isn’t it a brilliant idea?

And yes, the Moon IS in Virgo…

Don’t guilt yourself!  There is a difference between some productive analysis and a full on self-narking-off session. Worse would be if you tried it on someone else. SO not the day to send snarky memos or bitch it up about a perceived flaw.

Alright, hands up who missed me and I have a new theory re the Kataka Moon…It’s in Kataka until this arvo when it zooms into Leo, btw.  London, New York, L.A etc all wake UP with the Moon in Leo…A big flick of the hair, some grandiose affirmations and WHAM: Life As Art.

Anyway, with this Crabby Moon, my theory is that you feel ratty and/or neurotic (crabby!) during the Cancerian Moon IF you don’t self-nurture. So those of you that caned it – including me – on the weekend when you should  have been lying in bed reading soothing poetry, snorting lavender oil and listening to dolphiny music will totally have found it hard to sleep, due to fretful ‘lower Crab’ freakouts. It’s just a theory.

Yes? No?

“…A treasured piece at the Dutch national museum – a supposed moon rock from the first manned lunar landing – is nothing more than petrified wood, curators say. It was given to former Prime Minister Willem Drees during a goodwill tour by the three Apollo-11 astronauts shortly after their moon mission in 1969. When Mr Drees died, the rock went on display at the Amsterdam museum….”

Wow, this is such ravingly Merc Retro serendipity. I was just the other night discussing the 1978 movie Capricorn One with the Scorpio Sex Academic. I was a child when i saw  it and somehow i totally got the idea it was a documentary. Scorpio Sex Academic said she always assumed it was just p.r. Even now, the concept of Artemis & the astrological Moon Signs et al seem way more real to me than that we landed on it. What’s weird is that my teenage son and his friends (the Pluto in Scorpio generation) think it was bogus – their logic being that if someone had landed on the Moon  in the 1960s, there would be McDonalds on it by now.

As for the faux Moon Rock given to the Dutch, what’s that about????  And which Sun Sign is most/least likely to believe in the Moon Landing. I’m thinking it’s strongly Scorp to diss it. Note also: The signature of a super-bonkers Mercury Retrograde is forgotten info, strange facts surfacing about something one takes for granted and weird little twists…strange news days indeed.

This is not me in the country. South Node in Sagittarius, you understand. Which means North Node in Gemini, which equates to loving the urban vibe.  But seriously, i have no real data on this other than vague astro-cliches re Taureans being naturally bucolic. But, really?  Earth Signs should probably naturally adore the country. Then again, Liz Hurley, whom is a raving Gemini, recently wrote a paeon to heavenly rural life; it’s sexier, it’s cleaner & fabulous service at darling little country delis.  I go bats in the country. I need dinky little cafes, cinemas, gyms, bookshops and a sense of urbane tolerance all around me. A poll – please & don’t hold back…Do you love or loathe the country?Maybe it is a Moon thing?

When the Moon is in Scorpio, your mind not-so-lightly turns to thoughts of the supernatural & omens.

When The Moon Is In Scorpio, you reek of some insanely singular scent. Hand-crushed narcissus, cypress from rolling around on the forest bed, disinfectant, ammonia or far too much of something discontinued because you have developed a tolerance for it.

When the Moon is in Scorpio, you keep score.

When the Moon is in Scorpio, you score.

When the Moon is in Scorpio, you adopt the bland air of a super-successful spy – no overt idosyncracies by which anyone can remember you.

When the Moon is in Scorpio, you eavesdrop & google-stalk, your favourite and not-so-favourite peeps. Merely intelligence gathering, you understand.

When the Moon is in Scorpio, you maintain a fixed gaze.

When the Moon is in Scorpio, you think about joining a secret club.

When the Moon is in Scorpio, you conspiracy theorise.

When the Moon is in Scorpio, you peruse or manufacture erotica.

When the Moon is in Scorpio, you can obtain money from mysterious sources.

When the Moon is in Scorpio, you stick to a results-driven diet: rejuvenation, longevity, weight loss, muscle building or chakra enhancement.

When the Moon is in Scorpio, you scheme.

When the Moon is in Scorpio, you watch your back.

I am not majorly into progressions. Some say introvert astrologers prefer and are good at progressions whilst the extroverts get off on transits. I am totally a transit person. But if i am really keen on figuring something out, the progressions can create some brill oh-my-goddings moments.

But I DO love the Progressed Moon.  It is like a sort of temporary or extra Moon that you have for two and a half years. Without bogging you down in astro-theory, you can figure out your progressed moon by going to Astrodienst and then the Extended Chart Options & getting your Progressed Chart from the list. Obviously, if you are an Astro-Fiend, you can do all sorts of fun stuff with that – but for now, just look at the Moon & voila; your temporary Moon.

It’s especially handy if the prog Moon is – for instance – in a sign or an element that could be boofed up a bit in your chart. eg;  you have hardly any Fire but the Moon hangs out in Leo for two and a half years. Or it makes an aspect (a conjunction to your natal Pluto, say) that wakes up hitherto unrealised aspects of your psyche. But i think it’s just fun to be aware of. Mine has been in Taurus for the last little bit and is about to go into Gemini & I am already feeling it; less interest in food, more fidgety & impulsive, amoral…But i loved what the temporary Moon in Taurus did for me. I got into gardening! Self-acceptance! And a really hard-to-define sort of primal sensuality that is how i imagine Taureans feel all the time?

So check out your temporary Moon & have some fun with it. Remember also, that the Moon in your chart needs to be fed-fed-fed. You do what your Moon needs and you will always feel at home in the world. NOT what someone else thinks would be cool for you or some generalised dictate; your Moon. Thus if you look to your progressed Moon as well, even better…Try it and see.

These Moon ideas are off the top of my head and apply to both the Moon you were born with AND your temporary/progressed Moon;

Moon in Aries needs respect & to lead NOW, Moon in Taurus to have their body fed regularly & tended to via bodywork etc ALL the time, Moon in Gemini needs mental stimulus, no dullards & variety within a urbane routine, Moon in Kataka needs to feel home is a haven & peaceful peeps, Moon in Leo likes theatre, laughter, to be officially glam & big haired-fab, Moon in Virgo needs clutter-free, clean-clean-clean & a sense of perfect health, Moon in Libra has to have everything pretty-gorgeous, smelling like heaven, freaks at grot, lack of symmetry, Moon in Scorpio either needs sex ten times a day or to be celibate for the year + kundalini yoga & to relax by reading conspiracy theory, Moon in Sagg; travel, freedom, wandering, at the very least ethnic foods/foreign movies, a lot of wilderness, Moon in Cap; to climb, score success, be able to obsess re financial freedom/security with fab results, apply personal full ON living systems, Moon in Aquarius needs to individuate & do precisely what they want at any given moment no matter what & Moon in Pisces – okay – will prob like a few drinks, lol and/or explore transcendental escape via meditation/art etc. Needs to be mystical & easily freaked by admin…

Soz – I thought i put it in post. Progressed Moon goes for two and a half years. You can get an Astro-Query to figure it out or  just fiddle with the Astrodienst chart. eg; change the date to be six months ahead & see where your Prog Moon is then. Is also quite fun to backtrack & see where it was at important dates in your life.

The Moon changes sign every two and a half days but attuning oneself to the current Moon sign is a fast way to feel good & at peace with the world. Ditto doing your own Moon sign, if you know it.  For example, right now there is a whole heap of astro-activity in Aquarius – the Aqua-Weirding & it’s amazingly inspirational + high-faluting. But to balance things, get with the Cow-Vibe: Meditation, serenity, nourishing thyself, peaceful & balanced, somehow taking time for Zen-Sloth. Bodywork is totally Taurean Moonie.

acmaj211The Universe, From The Thoth Deck

And so now we zoom into a fortnight of Aqua-Aqua-Aqua. Mars on Jupiter, Venus sextile Jupiter. The North Node’s involved. Mercury moves bk into Aquarius. Avant-garde & expansive Jupiter, Neptune & Chiron are all moving toward a spectacular conjunction in late May. The area of your scope where Aquarius reigns is lighting up. Time to totally individuate.Venus in Aries goes back and forth pinging off all the planets in Aqua.

And, I don’t know if the last Sun-Sign-Query Du Jour actually yielded a firm result. I suppose i ought to go through & delineate some clear conclusions. Fixed signs – I thought – are definitely less forgiving than the Mutables. With Mutables it depends which hour of the day/phase of their endorphin-hormonal cycle you ask then.

Okay – this question ought to elicit some interesting results; Again, state your Sun Sign please. Or if you have your Sun in one sign but the Moon and several planets in another, feel free to state that.

ON WHAT OCCASIONS – IF EVER – ARE YOU NOSTALGIC???

My flip thoughts; Arieans are nostalgic about their youthful sporting prowess,  Taureans re great meals & comfy hotels, Geminis rarely ever but if they are it’s a random flash triggered by a snatch of music, Cancerians all the time and it extends to ancestor worship & psychometry, Leos re fabulous outfits and parties where they arrived late, outshining everyone else…their stage moments, should they be performers, obviously.

Virgoans pine for a sort of imaginary utopia of all bills paid, nothing in need of repair, them at their perfect weight, the house freshly painted, Librans get flash nostalgia re scent & like to moon over long-ago lovers for leisure but only the good-looking ones, Scorpios are nostalgic re sex & occult matters, Saggos re their trips, treks & unfettered backpacking days + being stoned on a beach, Capricorns for when their parents were young and they thought said parents were cool, also a lot of nostalgic pride re awards/trophies/prizes.

Aquarians live in the future – not the past & Pisceans are only nostalgic with a purpose – ie: they are delving into the past to try and extract some gem of an insight.

Taurus Moon

4302375_5280d3a386

Got so carried away with the thrills of Venus in Aries square Lilith-Pluto, the looming Lunar Eclipse and another Saturn-Uranus Opposition that I utterly forgot about the MOON. Luna is in Taurus, the sign in which she is Exalted (ie; functions brilliantly) & this favours all things green, loving thy plants, the wisdom of the body, truly good food, earth goddessy themes, massage & sensual pursuits. Then, at 13.15 on Weds (Sydney time) Luna-the Moon-Diana scoots into Gemini, for a more Mercurial & skittish backdrop.
