Hark, who is this?

Saturn Girl saving money again by being a chic nudist? With an animal companion that actually earns its keep?

Actually, no. I’m thinking more that it is a pic that symbolizes the current Moon situation. Moon in Gemini is moving to trine Mercury, Neptune and Chiron over the next ten hours & so there is an awesome amount of emotional sustenance and quiet insights just flowing in.

So let’s just say that the Owl is like sagacious wisdom, Athena/Minerva et al and that the nakedness symbolises being free of stupid preconceptions and grudges.

And the Moon being in Gemini trine Mercury, the ruler of Gemini,  means you can just grok stuff SO fast…

Moon-Neptune = fantastic dream potential tonight.

Oh and speaking of Saturn Girl, the Saturn Girl Scheduler for MARCH is now up…

Marc Philbert

Merry Moon into Mercurial Gemini & this is such an active Moon. She squares Jupiter, trines Saturn/Venus and sextiles Mars….amongst other aspects. It’s all a brilliant lead-up to the Mars in Leo-Venus in Aquarius opposition but expect to have to exert a little bit of Mood Control as your mind skits all over the place.

Go with the Gemini Power Of Glib and some semblance of objectivity, lest you be caught up in drama-queenie Full Moon in Leo pending nonsense. Boredom thresholds are crashing down all over town: no tolerance for twits, absolutely none. Communiciation: Lucid & quick. Work out Retro-Mars mania at the gym, not via psycho-bats communiques, even if they ARE quite eloquent, thanks to the Moon.

Neptune is nearly Direct & for the next few days this means Neptune RULES: You could be drunk all the time but in kind of a happy, nebulous, creative and Neptunian way. Drunk writing poetry as opposed to drunk sending shitty texts to your ex or google-stalking or watching crap tv.

Dreams will be SO intense & lucid. I am sure you are all sick of me carrying on and ON about this but i am convinced – still – that keeping a dream diary is the most cost-effective and amazing form of psychic awareness possible. And that the more you consciously try to work with dreams, the more they communicate with you. Did I tell you my incredible Bast dream already?

Neptune energy may also be a bit vague so take care & realise that you may be super-sensitive & it’s Okay…Moon in Gemini, Saturn in Libra square Pluto makes for an interesting backdrop. I am going to do an extended Saturn-Pluto rant in the Daily Mystic for subscribers…

Brigitte-Bardot-431

Today is BB’s birthday & she really is a classic free-loving multiple conjunct Libran — Sun, Mercury and Jupiter. Saggo Rising, a tight Venus-Neptune conjunction and Moon in Gemini on the cusp of her House of Love.

This is from the Guardian

“…Simone De Beauvoir wrote: “When Marlene Dietrich exhibited her silk-wrapped thighs while singing in her husky voice, she was casting a spell . . . Brigitte Bardot doesn’t cast spells; she acts. Her flesh doesn’t have the generosity that symbolises passivity. Her clothes are not fetishes and when she undresses, she reveals no mystery. She simply shows off her body, which is in constant movement. She walks, she dances, she moves. In the hunting game, she is both hunter and prey. Males are an object for her, as much as she is an object for them. This is precisely what hurts males’ pride.” It was clear to all that Bardot, like Albert Camus’s stranger, experienced the world through her senses.

Nowadays, feminists both in Britain and the US would shriek in horror at the thought that Bardot might be heralded as the emblem of the liberated woman. But that is just how designer Nicole Farhi remembers her: “Bardot was totally liberated; it was extraordinary to see, especially at a time when no women were allowed to be, and it was all the more unusual that she came from a bourgeois family. It was fantastic to see that she could just throw conventions away. She lived the way she pleased, she dressed the way she wanted; in that sense her freedom was very provocative.”

Provocative but never lewd. “A liberated woman is the opposite of an easy and frivolous woman,” wrote De Beauvoir. For her, Bardot’s sense of freedom was absolute, almost existential. Unlike today’s self-acclaimed liberated young women, who claim to feel empowered by the act of pole-dancing, with Bardot there is no attempt at manipulation or deception.

“Bardot’s naturalness seems more perverse than any kind of sophistication. To despise as she does jewels, makeup and high heels is to refuse to transform oneself into an idol. It is to assert oneself the equal of men. It is to recognise that between men and women, there is only desire and mutual pleasure. This is precisely what made her appear so dangerous in the eyes of society,” wrote De Beauvoir…”

And, yes there is probably some argument against her for her denouncing a certain racial group over their animal rights abuses but you know what? The woman is Saggo Rising (ie; will say what she wants, freedom of speech LOUD being paramount to Saggability) but I think a lot of the hostility toward her has more to do with the above-mentioned free-living, lack of corseting etc and growing old…old, barefoot, sun-tanned & apparently individuated as all get out.

As the Moon in Gemini squares Uranus in Pisces, peeps zig where you thought they were going to zag & there’s an electric buzz in the vibe. Fab for conversation, concocting new ideas and all but discretion ought to be applied. Moon-Uranus stirs & in mutable signs it’s like amorality central, Mercury IS retrograde, Pluto stationing Direct is emo and Saturn opposing Uranus is practically upon us. You’d hate to go bats & then feel all goobly on Monday morn, to the extent that you went guilt-tripping.

The pic above is a modern take on an old world war II poster, urging discretion for obvious reasons; this one below is a real one from the era.

It’s the Dark Moon in Gemini & so a degree of ambiguity or ennui is totally normal. Ditto naff cravings – always a worry with the waning Moon. The Moon is also trine the North Node in Aquarius just as it slides out of Aqua and into Capricorn – tres profound awareness for some; the meanings of past patterns & themes…Future trends. Be sweet to Geminis this weekend, they’re not in the mood to be court jester & with Mars in their sign moving to square Uranus, they’re ready to snap at the slightest provocation. In fact, a lot of people might be ready to go over-the-top with the uncluttering of the next few days. Amazing for dream work and don’t let anyone diss you for being in two minds…it’s astrologically apt.

Maybe it’s my Moon Progressed into Gemini OR the Jupiter-Neptune conjunction trining my natal Moon in Libra – always an excuse for being bats – but I am increasingly intrigued by the Polyphasic Sleep Cycling. I mean, so far Aqua-Girl still seems sane. Serene even. It may be all the make-up.

But so as not to turn into something scary a la the above picture I think i need a High Tech Cosmovoide Luxury Bed. It would be an investment.  It’s practical and would aid productivity. It starts at $61,000 USD. For a BED. It’s not the kind of thing the company would just Fed-Ex out to a blogger to test and post about.

cosmovoide_sgaj8_48

THEY SAY:

“…the Cosmovoïde Bed, where you can hover on the brink of falling into a deep healing sleep, before awakening relaxed and refreshed, with optimal physical and psychic potential. This high-tech luxury
bed is characterized by its individual springs suspended from the structure by self-suspension, the same principle as used for hammocks. This absolute design touts the elements of a luxurious four-poster
bed. The side view, which mimics the shape of an egg derived from golden number geometry, gives the
bed its relaxing properties. The user will find the wave shape and the symbolism of an egg, reminiscent of the “cosmic egg,” from which its name ‘Cosmovoïde’ is drawn. Made by craftsmen in the North of France, the high-tech Cosmovoïde
bed features 2 electric relaxation
bed frames, 7 LED lamps in the colors of the rainbow, a television integrated at the foot of the
bed, a DVD player, high-definition home cinema set up, 6 power sockets, and a telephone…”

I think that, for that price, they could get WAY more cosmic. I mean if someone cares enough to manufacture – soz, CRAFT in the North of France – a bed that evokes Sacred Geometry, the Cosmic Egg and the Golden Mean etc etc then surely we can do a little better than “led lamps in the colours of the rainbow”?  I would expect built in Lucid Dreaming Goggles as a very basic feature here. Is some aromatherapy diffusion too much to ask? Surely.

If $$$ were no object would you purchase the High Tech Cosmovoide Luxury Bed???

Obviously, there are oodles of factors that contribute to your mothering style but astrologically you look to your Moon. Also, arguably, Ceres & stuff in the 5th House but for now, let’s do the Moon…And, as always, this is just off the top of my head, for fun and not taking into account your whole chart.

For example, if your Moon is in Scorpio but it’s bang on Uranus, you are totally looking at an Aquarian/Uranian zing to that Scorped up Moon. And if you’re an Astro-Fiend, look to the easy/harmonious/soft versus tricky/challenging/hard aspects made by the Moon to see  how you fit motherhood into other aspects of your life.

A few ideas to get you thinking…

Moon in Aries: Gung-ho Mum who imbues her kids with sense of can-do & the ability to compete in healthy ways. She models this by refusing to ever knuckle down. If shit happens, Moon-in-Aries Mum is not seen crumbling, whimpering “oh no,  not now, not this again” – she is UP and at ‘em. So she role models sensational ambition & flair. Fantastic sports mum – unless you lose, lol. Moon-in-Aries Mum can occasionally be low in empathy & does not like “grizzling.”

Moon in Taurus: Serenity Mum who transmits eerie soothing rays to even the most unruly of offspring, tetchy of babies. Moon-in-Taurus Mum, at best, is the archetypal herbal mother a la the Empress in the Tarot. Excellent at creating a secure-feeling and luxurious atmosphere of peace & plenty, regardless of funds available. Moon-in-Taurus Mum gives excellent money & worldly living advice, provides child with strong sense of adequacy. Child will  prob not crack up before 20 due to cuckoo credit card debts and louche living.

Moon in Gemini; Young-at-heart Mum who flits about forever able to relate to offspring’s foibles as her inner child so super-alive. Often prefers school age children and onward to the baby stage as the older ones can be so easily employed to collect gossip and are  more rewarding for her to dialogue with. Gets off on the imparting of knowledge & moulding  young mind aspect of parenting. Gives child verve & ability to never-ever be a bore as child HAD to be amusing for Moon-in-Gem mum.  Child comes out brainy & urbane…

Moon in Kataka; Classic Mum as this Moon is in the sign La Luna rules – the sign of parenting. Moon in Kataka loves pregnancy, birthing & breastfeeding in primal way that amazes other mothers -  has profound spiritual link to the whole thing. Is nurturing to the nth degree with only the slightest hint of martyrdom/guilting. Can and will pull off such a high level of nourishing and caring for the child, that the standard of cooking/empathy et all is never again reached. Can be terribly clingy. Child has strong feeling of being wanted & is usually a fab cook/emo-together.

Moon in Leo; Chic Mom. Moon-in-Leo Mum is fiercely loving of offspring a la nature documentaries & she is ultra-adept at all milestone events such as choreographing parties, attending funparks and ensuring the child looks just-so for the first day of school. Child can feel a bit like co-conspirator in major fabulosity scheme. Moon in Leo has fervent belief in her child’s extreme beauty, talent and star potential – how could it be any other way for a being who sprung from her gilded loins. Will make scenes at parent teacher meetings if  child’s genius not acknowledged. Fiend for table manners & grooming. The child will have awesome pics of self – maybe even a portrait.

Moon in Virgo; Details Mum. No way will the child of Moon-in-Virgo Mum ever have be sheepish at school because of excursion  note not signed et al. All details from childs fingernails being filed to regular dental check-ups and ability to pronounce words properly will be taken care of. Supernaturally together young peeps often spring from Moon-in-Virgo mums who ensured they always  have needle and thread to sew on buttons, their taxi fare  home & the ability to properly read instructions. Her child will be educated, healthy & wise…Or else. Can nark off a bit. Or be a bit hypochondriac.

Moon in Libra; Yummy Mummy. Moon-in-Libra Mum  is not the sort of saint who skips a facial so that her children can have new shoes but she models that detached & independent woman who doesn’t lose herself in parenting. She flirts. Even with the ob-gynae who helps to deliver her baby. She imparts her sense of justice, symmetry and elegant living to her children and weilds her charm to make even the most mundane aspects of childhood quite fascinating. Her child is imbued with a social conscience, charm & eloquence and beauty worship. Moon-in-Libra Mum insists her children conduct themselves in public and at quite adult occasions v.early on. Result; sophisticated, take-anywhere children.

Moon in Scorpio; Totality Mum. Moon-in-Scorpio Mum needs to bond deeply with her children and experience a primordial and open bond with them. She can be amazingly single-minded and obsessed when it comes to backing them – i often  think those child progidies have Moon-in-Scorpio Mums. They’ll read every single parenting book going and apply the findings. They want their child actualised & individuated – with no hang-ups. They can be a bit more focussed than some of the other Moon Signs on what they felt they had to give up, to become a parent. Her children are v.self-aware & often have one unique & official talent.

Moon in Saggo; Boho Mum. Moon-in-Saggo mum is the  most likely to jump on a plane to take even toddler kids trekking in Spain or whatever mind-expanding experience she deems appropriate. She believes in candour and space for herself so she’ll encourage her kids to be likewise extremely  honest and with the ability to create the mood/space they need to be themselves.  Banquet style dins on the table every night ain’t her style. Kids get spontaneity & a lot of quite frothy political thoughts/beliefs/opinions about everything. Kid will be a great debater. She’s slack with rules & always on the child’s side re school. Will argue validity of homework as a concept – putting the whole system on trial – rather than admit her child didn’t do it.

Moon in Capricorn; Moon-in-Capricorn  operates much like Moon-in-Virgo mum only with less details consciousness and more of an over-riding long term vision for her child. Foresight is her. She puts childs name down for right kindie at conception. Ditto proper schools etc. She thinks way ahead and even back; child is not only member of right clubs, child is very aware of ancestors and where he/she fits into society. Child gets fantastic head start in life & a whole lot of – at the appropriate age – witty & bawdy insider secrets of Life. But there will be no slacking. Moon in Capricorn’s child often does not realise all that is being done for her/him at the time.

Moon in Aquarius; Eccentric Mum. Child learns about conspiracy theories, Kombucha mushroom as an antioxidant or maybe not and alternative realities early on as is taken along with Moon in Aqua Mum’s perpetual personal growth trip. Moon-in-Aquarius Mum  is not going to fit into a bourgeois parenting paradigm – no way- so her child may well be alt.schooled, alt.healthy and alt-thinking from an early age. Moon in Aqua Mum can be super-rigid but her over-riding philosophy of New Age parenting will usually win the day. Her child gets the gift of a cosmic consciousness, open mind and the gift of being his/her own person.

Moon in Pisces; Moon in Pisces Mum can be a tad inconsistent. Yin, Yang and Yin again. One moment she’s Domestic Godesssy and it’s cupcakes at dawn – the next moment, everyone  is on a macrobiotic diet and learning to meditate. One moment she’s overbearingly THERE and wanting to bond, the next screeching for space so she can create her magnum opus. Again. Moon in Pisces children get a sense of the world as being an enchanted place, where  magical thinking works. He/she will also be ultra-culturally literate as Moon-in-Pisces is a polyglot who appreciates similar in her children. They will v.rarely be stuck or queruously peevish. She bequeaths them magic & fluidity.

karolina-lanckoronska

I am re-posting  this fascinating article about a Leo Countess and her experiences in the 2nd world war. And I know the point is NOT that she was a Leo but it IS an amazing read, at any rate. And yes, I checked her birthdate – August 11. She lived until she was 104.

“In the winter of 1939, shortly after Poland was invaded by Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union, a Soviet officer came to arrest her. “Not just now. I haven’t time,” she told him. “I’m due at the university.” Her interrogations by the Gestapo were cat-and-mouse games in which Karolina Lanckoronska always came out on top in terms of guts, brains and integrity. “Are you an enemy of the German Reich?” Gestapo chief Hans Kruger, who became her nemesis, demanded. “Yes, obviously,” Lanckoronska coolly replied. Deposited in her first Gestapo prison, she sat on her bed, ate a hard-boiled egg and promptly fell into a good, sound sleep — behavior so preternaturally calm that she terrified her cellmate, who figured the new arrival must be crazy.”

Imprisoned in Ravensbruck, she refused special priviliges & “Into this chaos, Karolina brought books. She taught life-affirming classes about Shakespeare and Michelangelo. Karolina felt that both she and her pupils were enriched by these encounters with classical art, in the face of “pre-mortal fear.” Karolina recorded that in her own most dreadful moments, she could still recall comforting visions of great works of art she had seen as a child….” That is from here.

Interested in her Mars – the courage – I looked at her chart & she was actually a multiple conjunct Gemini: Moon, Mars, Pluto Neptune. The Mars-Pluto conjunction is exact. Tremendously cool. I always remember the text book Mars-Pluto conjunction: Ruthless regenerative powers.

eduoard-plugeon

Just a few more days of this Dark Moon until the glorious New Moon in Gem AND a Jupiter Chiron conjunction kicks off the Auspicious Aqua Weirding on Sunday…Actually the Jupiter-Chiron conjunction (magical healing, innovative expansion, optimistic synchronicity) is just before the New Moon but still…

Soon the Dark Moon wanes into Aries and meets Mars – that’s when we have to be careful. Ramzilla energy can tend to, um, i don’t want to use a dodgy metaphor…move too hastily. And that’s the Weds-Thurs vibe…No-one acts/initiates/goes over the top on a Dark Moon with Mercury Retrograde squaring everything in sight but an egomaniacal, throbbing Aries Moon nearing Mars will so inspire impulse.

Hopefully La Temperanza will be a helpful muse in this regard. And, if you’re feeling a bit like the girl with her cat above, take heart, rest & be of good cheer as feeling a bit low, over-whelmed et al in the Dark Moon is considered normal. Natural, even.
