Guys, put this in thy diaries!

Mercury is Retrograde from April 18 until May 12.

No signing of contracts, people who come to you with ideas in this time could shonk out, no big purchases, massive ventures undertaken etc.

This Retrograde is in Taurus so it’s also a time to beware being totally obdurate or attempting to push something through with sheer and mighty willpower.

It’s 2 to 12 degrees of Taurus, if you know your chart.

So, for example, that’s totally in my 4th House – Home/Family Of Origin Sector, so i would be thinking that I won’t get any home repairs or furniture in that time, not even an electric eggbeater…not that I would BUT it will be a fantastic time to reconnect with family of origin, people from my childhood…ancestor energy.

Or, more bloody likely, they will attempt to connect with ME lol.

I would also, if i followed my own advice, get faltering things to do with my home fixed NOW rather than wait for them to conk out spectacularly during the Mercury Retro.

Remember, Mercury Retrograde is not BAD but it is worth going WITH IT.

Your Mercury Sign & Swearing…

Your Mercury sign = how you talk & communicate. I’m really interested in which Mercury signs cuss the most. I try not to do it so often – lazy vocab is  not so good – but my Mercury in Aries means when i DO – peeps are shocked. I still think it’s the sudden pre-menstrual stubbing of the toe situation that evokes the fruitiest language, followed by some ludicrous statement from a bonkers lover that requires a hitting of the ‘end’ button – on the phone and the relationship, no doubt. But the toe is worst. Nerve endings on the big toe presumably go straight to the part of the brain that regulates revolting language.

I think that the Mercury signs least likely to swear EVER would be Cancerian & Libran.  They wouldn’t bear it. Mercury in Taurus would make a ‘class’ deal out of it. Of course there is a difference between cussing when annoyed and casual tackiness when relaxed & enthusing as in ‘oh my god, fuq,  how hilarious.’  I think swearing became more acceptable and commonplace during Pluto in Sagittarius (Sagittarians are happy to swear loudly and tell luridly lewd tales at 1000 decibels in public places) but ever since Pluto went into Capricorn, peeps are becoming a bit more anti-cussing & swearing.

Mercury Is (Nearly) Direct

Yes,  it IS frustrating to have Mars zooming along in Aries AND Venus there too & making cute-let’s-talk style aspects to the Auspicious Aqua-Weirding (Jupiter, Neptune, Chiron close in Aquarius) but Mercury is plodding along – BACKWARDS – in take-your-time stately paced ye olde Taurus.

So, sigh as much as you like but people will be soooo slow getting back to you and they’re not in the mood to step forward and tell you where they’re at, how they feel…And you can time this all the way back to April 22 – when Mercury was at the degree it is turning Direct at on May 31st. Info and communiques from then until now are bound to be developed, improved upon or revised. But you can’t speed it up. Take your Mars & Venus in antsy Aries to the gym or give them an impossible mission to succeed at.

Do not ring up & give someone hell for being incommunicado or not speedy enough…Be too busy zinging off your own Aqua-Weirding genius to even notice. Pretend the other person/issue is off-planet & completely out of range. Oh and was it not SO Retro-Merc that a bank in NZ made an error and shoved $10 million into someone’s account because of a misplaced decimal point?

Deja Vu

It’s big, of course, with the Moon in Pisces today, Neptune slowing and Mercury Retrograde…But seriously what is Deja Vu? I would love to think it something super-cosmic as that would fit BUT nearly all the Deja Vu I’ve had has been when doing something insignificant & yet the Deja Vu instills the moment with the most intense significance. Is it a sign that one is on the right track? A neurological glitch? A tweak of the Matrix?

And is there a a sign/astro-signifier more prone to it than others? Is it more or less common at different ages? I know my son and his teen friends all seem to get it constantly but it’s hard to tell if they are being sincere or just sort of freaking out that some chick has just sent them the same text msg ten times. I love it. And am willing to totally believe it’s profound – the sensation that comes across one at the start of a Deja Vu experience – isn’t it just kind of similar to an orgasm? Like for a nano you know it’s about to happen and that you’re toppling into it?

Also,  how often do you get it? It would be awesome to establish an idea of what is the ‘norm’ for Deja Vu…It is French for Already There, I think. The first Deja Vu i remember was when i was about 13 and at hockey; this terrifying Aries Jockette proclaimed that you could tell if someone was a virgin or not by looking at their knees, she glared at mine and – voila – intense Deja Vu. Maybe it is like a protective mechanism?!

DUDES THIS IS ME!  After the Full Moon in Scorpio.  Okay, it’s not but I feel like the Scorpion-Phoenix thingie is sure inked on somewhere, only invisibly.

I think i deserve an award for so authentically manifesting that Full Moon in Scorpio…It’s always a goodie but i did this one like an astrological textbook. Scorpio energy is sex, death, the occult & areas of life that are super-powerful but usually kept hidden. It’s also endings, beginnings & the metaphysical idea of Phoenixing & that death is but a night between two days. And it’s the guts to not only survive a hideous little something, but thrive. Many a mystery.

So my Friday afternoon (eve of the Full Moon, last night before it was actually exact) starts out tres innocently. Going to see the Piscean Beauty Fanatic before meeting the Leo-Rising-Rugger-Stud for dinner…Only HE had infuriated me earlier in the week by rocking up sans notice & when i trying to analyze someone’s Uranian transits & basically putting it upon me. Not until the Full Moon in Scorp did i realise how angry i was about it. THAT is so Scorp & Pluto…When you are sitting there having a manicure or something and suddenly it’s like ’shit, that was wrong & I’m right’ kinda feeling.

Anyway, the taxi driver I got was an Aries and SO angry that I had to ask the Piscean Beauty Fanatic for Emergency Reiki. Luckily, she is very good it and she whacked in some other stuff as well. Deep witchery & re-aligning the subtle etheric bodies sort of thing. So feeling heaps better we then discuss Scorp subjects – not on purpose. We just suddenly realised that we were talking about terminations, prostitution & hymen restoration. As she’d gone to the hairdresser that day and suddenly realising that the teenage apprentice doing her hair was hitting on her for validation & guilt release over an operation she just had. Then this poor girl started asking about hymen restoration operations and/or opportunities to ‘work’. So…a very Scorpy chat from that.

As I was saying bye to the Piscean Beauty Fanatic, I start getting urgent texts from Leo-Rising-Rugger-Stud to the tune of “where are you?” and strident question marks…Each time i try to call him, he engaged calling me. So I finally get hold of him & it’s part Retro-Mercury/part him being a prick as in he hadn’t listened when i said that i would not be at my house at whatever time. Then i said well, I am going to meet the Scorpio Sex Academic as she just bk from Bali & has interesting tales to tell – come along or i can meet you in an hour. He hit the roof & sulked bigtime, so it ended.

Then I met the Scorpio Sex Academic &  i told her about the Leo-Rising-Rugger-Stud & she airily referred to it as an “uncluttering” but then said what about the Uranian – my other Aquarian? I said that I’d made a scene at the gym as he talking to some floozie that he may have (?) been seeing last year when i was seeing just him but that a bonkers blind date had sent me stampeding bk into the arms of the Uranian. It turns out that Scorpio Sex Academic KNEW of the Floozie & was able to text a Virgo Sexual Assualt Counsellor friend who knew EVERYTHING I would ever need to know AND was lovely AND she arrived in 15 minutes to brief me. How often do you get the info you need so quickly & with such heavenly synchronicity? And then of course the conversation dived real deep. The Scorpio Sex Academic had done ten days of Kundalini Yoga in a row so was (a) chanelling and (b) longing for several litres of chardonnay.

Sitting at this bar with the Full Moon shining down being briefed by my spy made me feel like Lucretia Borgia – it was excellent but the whole thing felt super crisp, clear & lucid. It was a combination of intrigue, confessional deep dialogue, dramatic endings & the metaphysical end of spirituality where it’s all about qi & energy.

My question; Is this how Scorpios exist ALL the time? And did anyone else have a similar Full Moon in Scorp?  Oh and I dumped the Uranian too. And ended the evening talking to a 55 year old punk-rocker and his Goth son. My phone broke so could not text the U – which is a lovely little blessing from Merc Retro…

UPDATE: AND – i forgot to mention another Scorp theme of that night – the eve of the Full Moon – We ran into an Aries Hypnotherapist acquaintance of mine who was about to meet her RSVP date for the night, a Gemini psychologist. So this poor guy arrives to find his blind date totally crashed by a bunch of women in deep convo mode.

Mercurial Bats 2 The Max!

Here we go again with Mercurial Bats guys. Yes, the planet of communication & messenger of the Gods is in retrograde motion from May 7 until 31st. It goes retro at 2 Gemini & then whizzes all the way back to 22 Taurus. Ie; where it was at on April 22. Then, it gets back to 2 Gemini on June 14.

Mercury Retro purists would consider the Mercurial Bats zone to be from April 22 to June 14 but that’s too long for me. Still, any conversation in that time could technically be so revised & reversed. You know the drill. From the 7th, no purchasing big thingies nor signing contracts. You can vibe cool & composed chez work by being The Calm One who does not leap to embrace the new-fangled nor erupt at a crisis.

BUT it’s brill for the getting of wisdom & particular where-ever you have Taurus in your scope. You do it via a placid work-over of the area in question, re-examining where you’re at, what you’re doing & why. Thus you unearth the secret treasure of Retro-Mercury. But it’ll still be bats.

I will deal with this properly on Nightly Scopes sign by sign but the short version; Aries – $$$, assets & self-worth, Taurus – Self-image/independence v.s relationship, appearance, Gemini – Soul, spirituality, that which is secret, Kataka – Social life, friends, old ones zoom in again, Leo- Career/public image, overlings, reputation, overall vocational scheme, Virgo – Travel, offshore interests, religion, philosophy, academia, Libra – Sex, the Occult and your ability to powerfully regenerate yourself, Scorp- Love, Significant partnerships, Relationships – exaggarated by the Full Moon in your Sign! Saggo – Work, admin & health – fantastic time to revise ALL systems, Capricorn – Creativity, fertility, children & artistic self-expression – good time to pick up ye olde screenplay or quickly try something experimental you have been musing on for a while, Aquarius- Chez Aqua, family of origin merde, planning a revamp coherently, fixing the Feng Shui, thinking re ancestors, Pisces – short journeys, siblings, your various communication methods; don’t buy a new phone!

A Dark Moon Mini Bunk-Off

Even Capricorns take breaks, it’s true.

But with Sun & Mercury in Taurus, Saturn + Ceres in Virgo + Pluto in Capricorn – there is a ferocious work ethic out there right now & good thing too, as Pluto in Capricorn kicks in…the G.F.C. and all. Mars in Aries also does not want to sit still or shut t.f. up. And note that Mars is moving toward a square with Pluto exact early next week. That’s incendiary but most likely nothing that wasn’t already seeded or established as a potential flashpoint in Dec 08…

My point; Today is the Darkest Day of the Dark Moon before it is New in Taurus. Even amidst all you have to do, take some time for some form of a mini-bunk off. Long sabbaticals are out. Entire weekends are most likely out for the time being. That’ll change when Uranus gets into Taurus…2018. I’m thinking more that you enjoy a whole sandwich & a bit of a sit-down. Some form of power-relaxation.

Venus is just getting back into Aries again. Direct but retracing the retrograde path. So, as it’s a Dark Moon, don’t be amazed if some churlish or less-than-the-Higher-Self style feelings emerge. Don’t act on them. Remember; rests & rejuvenations during the Dark Moon have several times their usual power. If someone goes you chez work, don’t react. Wait it out, look weak now – come back and go them back way harder, when the cosmos is onside. ie; after the New Moon.

George & Fatima Up A Tree?

Have just been reading this fantastic Telegraph article re the possible romance between George Clooney & Fatima Bhutto.

“…Fresh from an ill-fated entanglement with a Las Vegas cocktail waitress, George Clooney, Hollywood’s Armani-suited Renaissance Man-on-call, is reported to have fallen for 26-year-old Fatima Bhutto, the new star of Pakistan’s greatest political dynasty. Across the sub-continent the excitement spread like Valentine’s Weekend wildfire. And why not? George is radical, Fatima is chic. It has to work out this time….”

Oddly enough, having adored Clooney in a number of movies (Intolerable Cruelty, Oceans 11, Three Kings & even One Fine Day) I actually got a bit sick of the sight of him last year. Prob just over-exposure, a bit like every mag having Kate Hudson on the cover at the moment and more or less the same article re her fabulosity.  But GC is incredible & apart from her being gorgeous & about 20 years younger than him, Ms Bhutto – the neice of Benazir – would seem to be a really interesting choice of would-be girlfriend for him. She, apparently, is not so keen because of the age gap & her fairly intense concerns in Pakistan.

And, looking at the astro between them, i wondered if she had an astrologer run the charts & then flipped. I mean really. With no time of birth for her (May 29 1982) it’s hard to be definitive about this but still…A few highlights. Or maybe lowlights.

George Clooney is a Taurus (Sun conjunct Mercury) with Pisces Rising and Moon-Saturn in Capricorn. That Moon-Saturn is a very sombre position & despite his debonair aura, that denotes a person who is very careful/conservative with giving his heart & most likely with good reason. Early hurt etc etc.Ms Bhutto is an early Gemini with Moon in Leo & we don’t know the rising due to no time. Her Venus in Aries squares (challenging) his sensitive Moon-Saturn in Capricorn combo. Her Pluto in Libra squares that Moon-Saturn in Capricorn combo. Both have Venus in Aries but not conjunct.

So that’s like a kind of similarity. But then her Saturn in Libra opposes his Venus. Her Jupiter squares his Jupiter. Her Sun squares his Chiron. Oh – a nice one – her Sun in Gemini trines his Jupiter in Aquarius. Her Uranus squares his Pisces Ascendent. Her Sun squares his Pisces Ascendent. This is a LOT of squares – ie; challenges -  & that is just from a cursory glance.

Some squares between charts are good. They are all about growth. And you certainly know when the other person’s in the room. But too many makes for just old-fashioned they-get-on-your-nerves-ishness. Of course, if they did manage to overcome some of the obstacles between them, doesn’t this mean George Clooney could one day be first “lady” of Pakistan? Or first man? And would it help or hinder U.S-Pakistani relations?

Oh and note that Saturn has just entered George Clooney’s 7th house for the first time in 29 years. So he is suddenly incapable of casual relationships. It would have to either be a significant partnership (apparently with some geopolitical impact as well, as he is such an  O.T.T. show-off with his cute little Mars at Zero degrees of Leo) or nothing-at-all. She is his Saturn-in-the-7th house manifestation. And maybe the Saturnine lesson would be a woman he cannot have…I am not generally judgemental re age gaps but i do think it is easier if both parties are either pre or post Saturn Return. It makes SUCH a difference.

Then again, she is having her Saturn Return in 2011 & with Saturn opposing her natal Venus shortly thereafter, reflecting a challenging & intense relationship most likely with an older person.
