Mercury is now in action-Aries and trining mega-Mars in Leo. Some ideas:

* Faster talking.

* Impatience.

* Men are more daring.

* Ideas zip from the subliminal mind at the speed of light.

* Suffer fools? They should all be interned for the duration of Mercury in Aries.

* Brash ideas cranked out and whizzed off to about 1000 peeps at once, who all run the risk of being struck off the Mercury-in-Aries contact list should they not respond within more or less nano-seks.

* Big-noting.

* Winking. Seriously, monitor winkage. It’s always about more when Mercury is in Aries.

* Gutsy mission statements.

* Interrupting.

* Batting out of your league but w.t.f.

Think about it. Mars just back from that retrograde a.w.o.l. trip really needs a bit of a pep talk. And whom better to deliver that than Mars in Aries. Mercury stays in Aries till early April and then goes into Taurus just as Saturn goes back into Virgo. April will feel quite diff to now. Live it up.

Guys, put this in thy diaries!

Mercury is Retrograde from April 18 until May 12.

No signing of contracts, people who come to you with ideas in this time could shonk out, no big purchases, massive ventures undertaken etc.

This Retrograde is in Taurus so it’s also a time to beware being totally obdurate or attempting to push something through with sheer and mighty willpower.

It’s 2 to 12 degrees of Taurus, if you know your chart.

So, for example, that’s totally in my 4th House – Home/Family Of Origin Sector, so i would be thinking that I won’t get any home repairs or furniture in that time, not even an electric eggbeater…not that I would BUT it will be a fantastic time to reconnect with family of origin, people from my childhood…ancestor energy.

Or, more bloody likely, they will attempt to connect with ME lol.

I would also, if i followed my own advice, get faltering things to do with my home fixed NOW rather than wait for them to conk out spectacularly during the Mercury Retro.

Remember, Mercury Retrograde is not BAD but it is worth going WITH IT.

If you want me to figure out where it’s operating in your chart, i can do it as part of the Serendipity Cosmic Consult. It’s already part The Supernaturalist.

Last March, when i first posted about Lady Gaga & some peeps had the nerve to dispute my Mercury in Aries statement that she would be a big star, there were two different birthdates floating about for her. So i said she was a Pisces.  Now the official birthdate is March 28 – Aries. Though the March 20 birthday still has currency. Anyway, this interview from The Moment totally confirms that she’s a Ramzilla to the Max…but what rising? I think Uranus in Capricorn…Calculating & groundbreaking.

My theory:  Given a quarter of the chance – forget  half – any Aries person will refer to her/himself in the third person. They LOVE IT. Way more than Leo even BUT read this for pure Ramzilla hubris and the brilliant quote re the vagina. That is heaven. I am so appropriating that to use as a sort of more or less all-purpose statement/excuse.

THE MOMENT: You say you are an acute assessor of fame. You of all people must know, then, that celebrity is fleeting. Doesn’t that scare the bejesus out of you?

LADY GAGA: Not in the book of Gaga.

THE MOMENT Sorry?

LADY GAGA: In the book of Gaga, fame is in your heart, fame is there to comfort you, to bring you self-confidence and worth whenever you need it. I want my fans to love themselves. It’s almost like I want to hypnotize them so when they hear my music they love themselves instantly.

THE MOMENT: Don’t you think it’s kind of creepy when you refer to yourself in the third person?

LADY GAGA: No. Not if you’re an artist, it’s not. I talk about myself in the third person all the time. I don’t live my life in the way someone like you does. I live my life completely serving only my work and my fans. And that way, I have to think about not what is best for my vagina but what is best for my fans and for me artistically.

Peter Lindbergh

Right.

In a previous post re Nicole Kidman’s GQ mag cover & her chart I speculated that she actually had an astrologer…She’d timed the GQ thing raving on about fetish what-not to perfectly accentuate her Scorpio Rising.

But this?

It’s a mag read mostly (surely?) by gay guys and menswear fashion industry peeps – nothing wrong with that – with the cover line “crazy for women” (I thought L’Uomo was crazy for gorgeous guys) and with her looking like a boy.

I mean, really.  Yes Geminis are meant to be good at androgyny (don’t bitch at the messenger, I am not the first person to say this – even the God Mercury is a hermaphrodite, no?) but this is weird.

And right now, Nicole K has Mars Retrograde on her Midheaven in Leo. NOT the time to be whacking yourself on the cover of mags or doing risky media. If i were her astrologer, I would say please go away and be fabulous incognito. Come back in June when Mars has well cleared that Midheaven and Uranus in Aries is starting to trine it.

Also, she looks like she is trying not to throw up.

The photographer, Peter Lindbergh, is a Saggo and you know how tactless they can be.

Plus the shadows behind look spooky and worse, DAMP.

Then again, I’m biassed toward the old-style L’Uomo Covers:

You are now entering Scorpville.

The Moon is in Scorpio & making beneficial aspects to Jupiter/Pluto.

This is powerful regenerative energy and with it comes the Mercury-Uranus sextile: eureka moments galore. When Mercury is in league with Uranus, ideas come in bright flashes or via sudden synchronicity. Listen between the lines. Take note of little hunches and subtle omens.

Don’t be dull. Don’t let your thinking slide into something turgid and lower-Scorp-stalkery vengeful.

It’s like that beautiful old quote: Be bold and mighty forces will come to your aid.  It’s from Basil King, a Piscean clergyman turned novelist and metaphysical writer. According to his Wiki, the original was actually “Go at it boldly, and you’ll find unexpected forces closing round you and coming to your aid.”

Yes. So very today.

Merry Moon into Mercurial Gemini & this is such an active Moon. She squares Jupiter, trines Saturn/Venus and sextiles Mars….amongst other aspects. It’s all a brilliant lead-up to the Mars in Leo-Venus in Aquarius opposition but expect to have to exert a little bit of Mood Control as your mind skits all over the place.

Go with the Gemini Power Of Glib and some semblance of objectivity, lest you be caught up in drama-queenie Full Moon in Leo pending nonsense. Boredom thresholds are crashing down all over town: no tolerance for twits, absolutely none. Communiciation: Lucid & quick. Work out Retro-Mars mania at the gym, not via psycho-bats communiques, even if they ARE quite eloquent, thanks to the Moon.

A Journey Round My Skull

So wow, go Mercury Retrograde!  Who said that it would be more restrained in the patrician and sober sign of Capricorn?  I did. Lol. It’s certainly different from the whacko Air Sign Retros where it’s almost like The Trickster is in charge, befuddling you to auto-send e-mails mentioning A Certain Person TO that Certain Person. And I don’t think there is that fairy-tale like nostalgia that seems to beset Water Sign Mercury Retrogrades. But it’s Mercurial Bats alright…

* Having only been on it for, like, five weeks, I get bumped off Facebook!  It feels punitive though apparently it’s perfectly common. Oh well, let’s see if my “appeal” works. If not, I shall probably just posting my more inane observations up here.

* Had lunch with some peeps & a Virgo was there; terribly hungover from a dinner party the night before. Nobody had warned her that TWO of her Exes were going to be there and with their new partners, to boot. Ex-lovers always feature in one way or another, when Mercury is Retro. And if men are your thing, then Mars Retro accentuates the syndrome.

* Whilst googling myself to see if ANY trace of my F-Book content still remained, I found THIS from Sally Bennett in  the Herald-Sun today…

“…Mystic Medusa in the Weekend Australian is a favourite. She’s the thinking person’s astrologer – all sharp-witted, New Age language and dripping with sarcasm.

She doesn’t mind reminding you of your flaws or having a laugh at your expense.

She says stuff like, “Control-freakery aside, you’re the wittiest star sign.” Thanks. I think….”

And you see, I would not have read that if not for the Facebook fuq-up & I LOVE flattery.  This is how Mercury Retrograde works.

* The extendable handle on the fancy new mop i bought does not extend. This is just infuriating to someone with Mars in Virgo like me.

* Cards can weirdly not work for no REAL reason during Mercury A.W.O.L. phases & this is the Capricorn twist – it’s at some place where the person is going to give you attitude about it. eg; my card conked out in front of bitched up bogan who already hated me as I’d asked whether or not something had dairy in it. She said something like “oh you’re not one of THOSE, are you?” and then card conked just as I needed to project Capricorny hauteur. Capricorn lesson: Cook it yourself. Don’t pay peeps to patronise you.

* Another random Mercury Retro in Capricorn manifestion – especially as Saturn stations – Bad Dad issues…

Heh-heh & here we go again guys!

Mercury is Retrograde from Saturday 26th (early AM Sunday for Sydney peeps) & it is Direct again on January 16.

This is actually really cool timing as many of us will be having some sort of a rest & it’s brilliant astro for re-appraising Capricornian matters – stability, tradition, endurance, your business plan et al. Saturn goes Retro in early Jan so there will be Mercury, Mars and Saturn all inward-focussed. Fantastic strategising energy…Batty love affairs flare up too but don’t expect men to pursue whilst Mars is Retrograde.

Oh and till mid-Jan is also unreal for editing, revision and taking care of business such as tooth & bone a.k.a. osteo/dental. Superb health jagging energy.

There will be a Mercury Retrograde Book Club operating over the Retro phase as well…

Mercury is into Capricorn!  And, due to a Retrograde that starts just after Xmas, Mercury tarries in Capricorn until February 10.

The Retrograde is from December 27 to January 16. That is totally one to diary in. But it’s a brill time to apply cool Capricorn analysis to situations that may have become too soggy and/or Mercurial wit & the Power Of Glib to the part of your chart dominated by Capricorn.

There can be something magic about The Trickster in the sign of the Sage, no?

And those of you into the post-hols sales could buy some stupendously naff crap, lol.

I don’t know if this Mercury Retrograde Spiritual Mist Spray works or not but it’s a sensational idea…yes?

Mercury is next Retrograde from December 27 to Jan 16.

I think this is BRILLIANT.

It is at one of the few times of the year peeps tend not to be trying to force major things through, it will facilitate a fab re-assessment of family and friendship values and you need only ensure you make New Year resolutions BEFORE December 27.  Say what you like on the New Year’s Eve but it will be reversed or subverted.

The time between the end of 2009 and 2010 is full ON this year – it is a Full Moon Eclipse with Venus and Pluto involved. Dramatic resolutions and Chthonic Sex/Love/Emo action…Peeps are REALLY getting to grips with all that has altered since Pluto got into Capricorn in early 2008. It’s like a welcome to Pluto in Capricorn situation. Mercury is retro there, Venus is in Capricorn, Pluto – obviously – Saturn is in slo-mo getting set to square Pluto again and the Sun is in Capricorn as well opposed by a FULL MOON IN CANCER..

S0 what? It’s an Eclipse and so extra-emotional and all. Think also of 2004 – the middle of that year links poignantly into this years Xmas.

THINK: Resolutions Made Before Dec 27, All Work Finished but you open to past-life-blast style freaky synchronicity bonding. Prep also to vanquish ghosts from the past and do NOT go bigtime shopping  before the middle of Jan.

Think good but v.strong Astro-Weirding over the Xmas Hols phase.
