The Saggo Moon has but one message of the moment…

Fuq Sloth. Get out and do something. Anything. Or go bats. Especially with Mars right at the arse end of his Retro in Leo. Enough with the navel gazing, secret flake outs and seethingly intense “planning.”

Move. One foot in front of the other. Exercise. Dancing. Crapping away in a bar so long as you can move around and don’t have to talk to one person for more than ten minutes at a time. Just move.

Plenty of time to worry about biz when the Moon is in Capricorn early next week AND Mars goes Direct AND Saturn starts to really oppose Uranus already.

Realism in relationships? That’s taken care of too…Venus will oppose Saturn. But for now? Venus in Aries trines Mars in Leo and the Moon is in Sagg. Move.

Face it – With Mars the way it is for the next few days, there are bound to be opportunities for us all to go totally bats. My in-box is full of people wigging & if I hadn’t had acupuncture, i’d feel like it myself…As Mars is still in orb of aspecting Saturn and the action planet is also aspecting Neptune +Uranus (the latter being the main  instigator of all this shite) I have decided there are six basic options of how to react to ’stimuli’ of the next few days…

You can channel:

* Mars-Saturn – the Low Version:  Sulk. Climb into hair shirt. See whatever is going on as manifestion of downward cycle. Do some pass-agg whinging. You’d be vengeful if you weren’t so exhausted.

* Mars-Saturn- The High Version: You get a stylish grip, clean your house, floss your teeth, go for a walk and put whatever has annoyed you into a dignified and worldly perspective before coming to a really rational and peace inducing realisation.

* Mars-Neptune – The Low Version: You go straight to the pub, bottle store, liquor store and connect with anyone willing to get s-faced and bitch it up with you. After two drinks you start to consider some real sneaky manouveres.

* Mars-Neptune – The High Version: You pray or meditate and connect with your higher self. You get some Reiki or take a salts bath. You send golden rays of forgiveness to the soul who has hurt or annoyed you; all is one on the Golden Qi matrix.

* Mars-Uranus – The Low Version; You whiz off a quick fuq u missive to sever ties with the person/entity/wanker you feel is constricting your lifestyle options and initiate several radical changes (house/sexuality/lover/job) as fast as poss.

* Mars-Uranus – The High Version: You never-ever-give up or in.  You take whatever is bugging you and turn it into sheer hare-brained genius by dint of some intellectual alchemy yet to be officially recognised by science but which works a treat.

Note that Mars is in Gemini so you could easily hover between the High and Low version of any of these.

Messenger-Of-The-Gods Mercury is – yes – heading toward a smack-up conjunction with Saturn & exact next Tuesday…That’s oh, i dunno, kind of factual.  BUT before then Mercury is opposing Eros & Isis as Pandora conjoins Neptune in Aquarius. This is tres foxy astro – cunning, mercurial enchantment.  No matter how hard you are working or how irritating this final crunching of Saturn over the same turf he has been covering since late 2008 is – some magical astro-weirding is weaving its wiles invisibly. Did I just suddenly start checking out the orbits of Isis, Eros and Pandora to cheer  you up from that nasty Mars-Saturn bingle and do you care if I did????

If only it could come in a pinstripe, spikes-all-over version, this would be the perfect outfit for the Mars-Saturn Square…in effect until Tues midday, all timezones. It’s ramped up a bit by the Moon in Aries – a sign ruled by Mars.  What you want is an outfit that puts off predators – because you look so hard to digest, like a hedgehog – and encourages the  merely annoying to keep the fuq out of your aura for fear of being pricked. In the absence of such an outfit to say it all for you, this is the demeanour du jour. Sanguine composure like you Saturn’s Intern & work the Mars out via, well, work.

I know. Tres cheesy. And Stud or Dud is hideously sexist to guys but it is light-hearted, yah?

Some Mars signs are super-well-placed…Mars in Aries, the sign it rules, Mars in Capricorn (exalted) and Mars in Scorpio, ruled by Mars before Pluto was discovered.  Mars in the opposite signs of this lot is considered way less strong; Mars in Libra, Mars Cancer and Mars in Taurus. Also Mars in Pisces – this being the sign that Venus is exalted in.

Men with Mars in Libra, Cancer or Taurus could (technically) be said to exhibit a higher degree of pass-agg behaviour or have probs asserting themselves directly. Note that Mars rules ambition, energy levels, anger & libido. It also rules “men”.  Now, IF the Mars is on the Midheaven (Capricornian vibe) or Ascendent (Aries-like vibe) then it’s considered to be strong enough to cancel out even a less-desirable sign placement. Likewise the Houses. The 1st, 8th and 10th houses are all super-strong placements for Mars.

Mars in negative aspect to Neptune seems to so often associated with the official vices (OTT addictions & gambling + general neer do well grifting). Mars in challenging aspect to Saturn, Pluto & Uranus can also produce the classic rebel sans cause or even an overly angry guy. Note how I am tempering my language. This is not meant to be diagnostic astro for any guy in your life – as charts are complex things! But leaving aside the worst-case Mars scenarios, it’s really interesting to look at your man’s Mars sign for better understanding.

For instance, if a man has Mars in Libra, he WILL dither and it’s got nothing to do with you…Mars in Aries runs a hell of a lot on Respect & Pride; don’t kill it. Mars in Virgo WILL wig over details & crap service. If  you see a man with a Kataka (Cancerian) Mars, you’re most likely looking at some convoluted seduction style. If a man with Mars in Scorp or Capricorn wants you,  you’ll know all about it. They don’t muck about. Mars-In-Taurus moves at glacial pace & is super-hard to budge from an entrenched situation. Mars in Gemini will “jump” fast. Are you getting it?

Today the Sun is mid-way through Aries,  the Moon in Leo is on the South Node of the Moon – a.k.a. the Tail of the Dragon – and considered a significant point of one’s past lives.  Collective past. Etc. Venus moves off a square to Pluto stationing retro & a Mutable Mars-Saturn opposition all combine to thin the veil between worlds & evoke wisdom. Not an ideal weekend to waste time/Qi on trivial shit or dullard duties to impress…whom, exactly? It’s too deep for banality, The Faux or even Nouveaux Naff.

Okay so I wouldn’t wear this, lol, but in my parallel universe it is totally perfect for the Mars-Saturn Opposition. The formality of the dress, tight hair & matte make-up + tight lipped look manages to honour both Saturn in Virgo AND Pluto A La Mode.  There is a sense of inscrutability combined with fuq-U that is ineffably Mars-Saturnine. Virgoan pragmatism meets Piscean OTT eye-wear.

Gemini Moon naturally evokes flip, Mercurial & slightly scattered Gemini consciousness. But what of actual Geminis? Having had umpteen years of Pluto in Saggo opposing, they’re now copping it from Saturn in Virgo & Uranus in Pisces both squaring. They’re crunched between Saturn and Uranus; Geminis born June 5th to 18 are mostly getting it. Aching, ulcerating $ and details stress chez Gem versus erratic professional/biz thrills.

Oh it’s harder to be the glib tempter these days…But still they try. This weekend’s huge for Gem (and their Mutable cousins Pisces, Virgo & Saggo) as Mars in Pisces opposes Saturn in Virgo…But then, a few weeks later, Mars conjoins Uranus; the potential escape from shit pod.

One thing i totally love about Geminis; their ability to manifest as light-hearted, even when things are heavy. Also; conversation that just bubbles along like some sort of chic effervescent little brook. My G.P. is a Gemini. Very Gemini. Looks years younger than his age. Funny. Hits the roof at even the hint of a judgement or morality judgement. The other day, whilst giving me a magnesium shot in the bum (these are AMAZING) he was explaining his philosophy of irreverence toward authority. “Even if I met God in the street, I’d say ‘well that’s great, but i’ve still got to go and work out right now’.  I don’t give a shit.”

Also, i have never-ever met a thick Gemini. They know things and they are fantastic at connecting disparate bits of info and coming at things from multiple perspectives. But yah, the amorality gives even Pisces a run for his/her money.

Mars, At Ease…But Not Really

Sunday and Mars will be in Pisces for six weeks or whatever.  Don’t flip but Mars doesn’t function especially well in Pisces. Oh this is not the hideocrity of Mars in Cancer (in its “fall”) nor even the “detriment” of Mars being in Taurus or Libra, the Venusian signs. But Venus is exalted in Pisces, not Mars. Mars just dawdles about & Mars in Pisces can indicate pass-agg crap, an abundance of anxieties and the engine being revved up yet the brakes are on sort of a sensation.

No, it doesn’t help when we are all faced with the challenges of Pluto in Capricorn and the ‘transformation’ of our banking, biz and leadership paradigms. For instance, I received some news today re the weekly Mystic column which means this site is about to become a hell of a lot more capitalist, just to even sustain it & me.

But, Mars is considered the ‘lower octave’ of Pluto; if we are not using our Mars to wage war or stress out, it’s our guts, stamina and ingenuity. When Mars is travelling through a sign which ‘weakens’ it, we get to draw upon our own natal Mars, Qi & mana. Mars in Pisces can see certain peeps acting sneaky and underhanded. Prep to be stunned by the way in which some of your acquaintance/colleagues behave under stress. Mars moves first to oppose Saturn (April 5) and then to conjoin Uranus on April 15. It’s a similar double-jag to that of the Full Moon phase we’re still in:  Stress, details, the testing of structures in our life & then the Uranian genius that can be eked out of the situation if you do the Saturn thing with full courage and maturity.

I was having lunch with my editor at the Weekend Australian magazine recently and she asked why sometimes my weekly scopes were funny/flippant/witty/interesting (blush) and other times a bit dull & plodding. I don’t think she was that tactless but, anyway, I explained that when there is astro-crap going down, I consider it my duty to try and be more supportive. Like I am being now.  Astrologers can find it tricky to bang on re Mars because he is the War-God & the courage he emblazons is all about vanquishing your enemies -fast in a big display of Shock & Awe. But whatevs, I am declaring Mars bk in mode and onside to help you face your fears, find true grit and shine in some form of radiant leadership.

Mars movements; other than the just mentioned opposition to Saturn and then conjunction to Uranus – April is all about the demolition of moribund structures & one would hope, the recreation of utopion new ones but the conjunction to Uranus in particular can also coincide with shockers of news days – Mars sextiles Pluto next Thursday, on the 19th of March. This is like a little ray of peace, hope, prosperity and enlightened leadership.  Stay strong and Semper Fi.
