Mars-in-Scorpio

In the ‘living well is the best revenge’ tradition, Jennifer Aniston is on the cover of the only magazine her ex Brad Pitt purportedly reads or gives a merde about, with a triumphant gleam in her eyes but otherwise looking mega-casual and uncomplicated. The main point of the article seems to be that she has spent s-loads transforming what were previously His and Her bathrooms into a spa complex.

This current Chiron-Neptune conjunction (the fabulous, magic one) is bang-on her Sun so presumably she feels quite happy reading (if she bothers) articles suggesting that Brad is terribly unwell due to being hideously unhappy (that beard is a cry for help, no?) and that Angelina is getting set to turn herself into a Princess Diana character with a more “statesman-like” partner.

Jennifer’s got Libra Rising (wow would she hate Brad’s beard or what?) and a sensational Jupiter-Uranus conjunction in Libra that is about to have Saturn go over it. So v.innovative new career stuff in the next two years. Plus she’s got Mars-Neptune in Scorpio…super calculating & strategic.

anne_bonny

Anne Bonny was a rebel, a beauty and an amazingly resourceful pirate of her day. Plus she was a Piscean. Born on March 8 1700, her Dad was the married employer of a household in Ireland, her mother the maid. Anne Bonny was raised in Carolina, where she married a small time pirate but ran off with another one, the infamous Calico Jack Rackham.

There are SO many stories about this woman: Some say that her husband offered to “sell” her (a then-existent quickie divorce fee) to her pirate lover but she refused and was thus sentenced to be flogged for infidelity. But she escaped and became a notorious pirate, plunderer and raider. The only other female pirate of the era (ever?) was Mary Read, her rumoured lover. At one point, Anne Bonny was captured and sentenced to be executed but again, she mysteriously escaped & nothing was ever heard of her again.

Her astro:  Sun, Mercury and Saturn in Pisces…trined by Mars in Scorpio…Jupiter in Capricorn, Lilith in Aquarius opposite Pluto in Leo, Venus/Neptune in Aries square Uranus in Cancer…

Thoughts; Did she actually storm ships with her tits out or is that just how the artists liked to depict her???  A la her unconventional lifestyle. And really, for a woman of that time,  her lifestyle was about as non-trad as you can possibly get. I am thinking she had her Uranus in Cancer rising, as she also had children. Fancy combining THAT with pirating. Then.

And Mars in Scorpio is the same as would-be-teen solo round the world yachter Laura Dekker – try to stop these chicks doing anything and WEEP. Mars LOVES to be in Scorpio….Remember that Mars ruled Scorpio before Pluto was discovered.

I know. Tres cheesy. And Stud or Dud is hideously sexist to guys but it is light-hearted, yah?

Some Mars signs are super-well-placed…Mars in Aries, the sign it rules, Mars in Capricorn (exalted) and Mars in Scorpio, ruled by Mars before Pluto was discovered.  Mars in the opposite signs of this lot is considered way less strong; Mars in Libra, Mars Cancer and Mars in Taurus. Also Mars in Pisces – this being the sign that Venus is exalted in.

Men with Mars in Libra, Cancer or Taurus could (technically) be said to exhibit a higher degree of pass-agg behaviour or have probs asserting themselves directly. Note that Mars rules ambition, energy levels, anger & libido. It also rules “men”.  Now, IF the Mars is on the Midheaven (Capricornian vibe) or Ascendent (Aries-like vibe) then it’s considered to be strong enough to cancel out even a less-desirable sign placement. Likewise the Houses. The 1st, 8th and 10th houses are all super-strong placements for Mars.

Mars in negative aspect to Neptune seems to so often associated with the official vices (OTT addictions & gambling + general neer do well grifting). Mars in challenging aspect to Saturn, Pluto & Uranus can also produce the classic rebel sans cause or even an overly angry guy. Note how I am tempering my language. This is not meant to be diagnostic astro for any guy in your life – as charts are complex things! But leaving aside the worst-case Mars scenarios, it’s really interesting to look at your man’s Mars sign for better understanding.

For instance, if a man has Mars in Libra, he WILL dither and it’s got nothing to do with you…Mars in Aries runs a hell of a lot on Respect & Pride; don’t kill it. Mars in Virgo WILL wig over details & crap service. If  you see a man with a Kataka (Cancerian) Mars, you’re most likely looking at some convoluted seduction style. If a man with Mars in Scorp or Capricorn wants you,  you’ll know all about it. They don’t muck about. Mars-In-Taurus moves at glacial pace & is super-hard to budge from an entrenched situation. Mars in Gemini will “jump” fast. Are you getting it?

Allenamento Francia

This is Raymond Domenech – the French footie boss who famously denounced Scorpios & Leos last year; saying he would not have a Scorpio near his team and that he knows Leos will always do something stupid just to show off. He openly admits to believing in reincarnation and using the Tarot – as well as astrology – to figure out the personalities of his players. I don’t particularly follow soccer but obviously have to analyze the French soccer team when it is announced any moment.

From memory, i think last year he favoured Aquarians – just like himself, lol. Yes, he’s another Aquarian man. And he’s got Moon, Mercury and Venus in Sagg – outspoken for sure…He’s an ex-international player himself and his MARS IS IN SCORPIO…It may be a fair enough point to say Leos are not really team players but why-why-why the dislike of Scorps?  You’d think he would see in them some sort of ruthless intense determination to score, non? Or is it the very intensity he is scared of in his own Mars???  I do feel soz for some young & gifted player, having done all the training in the world but having to sit in front of Raymond with his Tarot pack out.

So, sales of Atlas Shrugged are apparently trending upwards. As you know if you’d read the thing – or could glean from the Wiki, it’s an amazingly dense book. It sold stupendously well in its day and created shitloads of controversy. Even now, the Amazon reviews thread of it gets heated and bitchy real fast. Okay, I am not quite sure why the G.F.C. would send peeps stampeding out to buy a book that spruiks uber-capitalism and this is so damned hard to read – it’s not like it’s a handy guide or anything.

I was given Atlas Shrugged by the Gemini Cokehead best friend of my then boyfriend years ago, when i was (sort of) at uni. Gemini Cokehead was a shocker. He was 22 in sales selling radio ad space and would do anything to keep the lease payments up on his Italian sports car. He had a penchant for falling flamboyantly in love (unable to eat, going on long mountain hikes to try and forget her, non-stop analysis of the situation, compulsive throwing of the I-Ching) with other men’s girlfriends or wives but losing interest the moment they came on the market. Anyway, Gemini Cokehead said Atlas Shrugged was like his bible and that i had to read it.

Maybe i was too young but i thought the concepts of Objectivism and letting genius run free unfettered by idiots was all really fascinating but it gets to a really psycho bit – i think – at the end where the heroine is sort of in heaven (?) and this amazing uber-capitalist-genius-stud-Nietzsche guy called John Galt has got her sweeping floors. That totally weirded me out.

Ayn Rand herself has really fascinating astro: She was a refugee from Russia, loved America the moment she spotted the New York skyline and when she was buried, her coffin had a big dollar sign on it. And she was classic Aquarius – contradictory. She was madly right-wing economically but often had views quite at odds with the classic right winger then. eg; she was absolutely pro equal rights for people, regardless of their sexual orientation.

Anyway her astro: Leo Rising and Mars in Scorpio trine Neptune…there is that messianic self-belief and ability to concoct a whole new philosophy with such a wide effect. Uranus is at 2 degrees Capricorn and opposite Neptune. But how fun is that Pluto is trundling over her Uranus in the 5th house and there is a surge in sales? The re-ignition of interest in the book may also fast-track the movie, apparently to star Angelina Jolie and Russell Crowe. Rand also has Moon-Mercury in Capricorn and Sun, Saturn, Ceres and Chiron all together in Aquarius…Great big confident and over the top Aries Midheaven…

ayn_rand_stampYes, she got a stamp!

This is part of the plot synoposis from imdb f.y.i

“…Based upon the controversial 1957 novel by Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged follows the struggles of Dagny Taggart, a railroad heiress trying to maintain her integrity, and keep her family’s railroad alive in the midst of a rapidly decaying world. She faces increasingly corrupt government agencies, the callous incompetence of her own brother, and the systematic loss of her best and most competent workers. As she works to overcome each obstacle, she begins to detect a pattern, and suspect a sinister force working against her. All across the country, there is a growing sense of helplessness, often summed up in a catch phrase that everyone seems to know, but no one knows the origin of – Who is John Galt?….
